Also if her car is leaking coolant through that part your removed would the coolant be noticeable like on floor etc,or does it disappear with in engine
Great video mate, keep the Corsa ones coming, just gave you a plug on the Corsa D forum 👍🏼. Can I ask how do you remove the coolant pipe attached at 8:04 ? Thanks
I could smell coolant last night driving home. When i stopped the fan was running. On checking under the bonnet i could see steam coming from the coolant flange/housing.There was a small puddle of coolant on the floor. Its gonna need investigating but im sure this part now needs changing.
I had mine done at a garage I think it's still leaking he put a plastic one back on mine but the one that was on was alloy. Don't think he used gasket sealer tho. Would it be best to take it back and ask him to use gasket sealer
@ollieguerrier have you replaced yours and still leakin I've read somewhere that using the cheap ones you'll end up havin the same problems.. think iam gonna get the vauxhall original from auto vox then pay someone else another £150 and take it kams. If you sort yours out please would ya let me know how and what part you use.
I just replaced mine but now it's leaking a little bit at the clip on the top for the small hose attached to the reservoir. Is that normal because there is still air inside? Edit: I also replaced the hose on top and now it's not leaking anymore
You just have to Google Corsa 1.2 coolant flange and a list will come up but I can't send a link as you would need to input your registration number to make sure you are getting the right one for your model
I had a Corsa that was overheating, in the end changed water pump, thermostat, temperature sensor on the water pump or thermostat housing, my Corsa did not have a radiator temperature sensor, so nothing I did stopped overheating, then I put some strong liquid based soap for washing machines, made by Arial All in 1 , these are small detergent pods we usually just drop one small pod in our washing machine to wash our clothes, so i used just one pod in my filling bottle, topped up the water to the right level, it unblocked my front radiator and also it unblocked my internal heater Matric, the car is no longer overheating and internal Matrix now gives very nice warm air for winter driving. You can try dedicated radiator cleaning solution if you worried that this washing soap in liquid form may damage your engine, it cannot as washing machines have steel and aluminium parts as well as plastics and rubber hoses. This worked so well for me, the car is now like it never had any heating issues. After a few days drain this detergent mix and rinse the engine with clean water and finally refill with correct Anti-freeze as that also helps prevent corrosion.
Just binged loads of your vids. I used to be a mechanic then became a chef. Miss working in a garage
Thanks for watching
My daughter has a 2008 corsa D 1.2
Loosing coolant how much would that job cost to have done?

Thanks for the video! This is exactly what I was looking for. I wasn't sure what is the part's name :)
Glad I could help!

You just squeeze each side then pull off
When replacing the gasket seal did you have to use any type of lubricants or grease ?

You are welcome 😊
Do them coolant pipe clips just go back on how you took them off? Do I have to tighten them or they like sping back and tight it’s self
How you move the car computer (that is connect to battery house)? You're hold it at 4:33

A12xer engine eats them things, am on my third one, saying that my corsa has done 188,000ish
How do you bleed with the funnel please thanks. Need to bleed mine and don’t have a vacuum pump nor know how to use one. Thanks
Open the rad bleed, cover the over flow on the header then blow into the header until coolant comes out the radiator bleed.
Hello when putting the new gasket back do I need to apply sealant on it.

Water pump weep hole?
My corsa has the exact same hairline crack in the same spot on the flange 👀
Hellow, do you know why my car is overheating even after I have changed gasket and resurfaced cylinder head?
Did you change the thermostat and check is the impeller broken inside the water pump
