    Spring is right around the corner, get your saw tune up and maintenance done before its too late! I'll go through some steps for cleaning and maintenance on your chainsaw with my Stihl ms261. Saws may be different configurations but the maintenance items are the same. Maintenance is the key to a long lasting great performing saw!     Great video - thanks. It was more thorough than most of the other videos I have seen about cleaning a chainsaw. I also have a Stihl MS 261.

    First view! Thanks for the overview. Is the Light 04 an actual light bar or is it just marketing from Stihl?

      Mostly marketing, however it is lighter because it is a thinner version of the rollomatic bar. I have a sugihara on my 462, I would go that route if I were to get another one.

      The "light" bars are the new bars coming standard from STIHL all in .325 pitch. It is an attempt from them to somewhat standardize their bars and chains. They will all be .50g in the future.

    If youre going to clean this much of your saw, you really need to go ahead and replace your air filter and spark plug. No reason to service it this far without doing so.

      That is a good point, it is probably due for a plug, filter is only a few months old though.

      ​@@foggyvalleyacres,don't go nuts u guys with u equipment. You don't need to replace anything if only a few months old,just keep the airfilter clean!
