The stihl 261C is the one with the Mtronic, and doesn’t have half choke and off position, but the regular 261 that you have does have the different choke positions

@@pobinrthe C is originally what I wanted, but the dealer didn’t have one. So far I’m happy with this one. Thanks for the comment.

You have the regular MS261 without Mtronic, have you done any tuning or adjustments to the high or low speed needles? I’m sure after break end, they saw may need a small adjustment. I’m just curious because I too am probably going to get a Non-Mtronic model.

Thanks for the question, I have not had to do any tuning at all. The saw just keeps running. I even brought it back to the dealer just to see if they thought it may need any adjustments, and they said it sounds fine. I agreed with them that it has been running great. So far no adjustments. Thanks for the question. 🙏🏻

The (BUTTON) on the top of the saw that you did not use is a compression release using this is easier on the saw and your arm just fyi

Thanks for the info, I do use that button every time I start the saw cold. I didn’t show me pressing the button in the video. Good eye for detail (discarded-official2688) Thanks for the comment.

Don't stand on the chainsaw. I don't know when this happened, but people think their chainsaw is a lawnmower. You could strain yourself. Hold the saw firmly and allow gravity to assist the start.

Gravity assist is how I ended up starting it. The foot in the handle was first shown to me by Stihl at the dealership and on their CZcams channel. Thanks for the comment
