yes, this mixer is the best small on the market
Can’t wait to get one of these! Awesome piece of kit
Nils Frahm was using one of these live before the Zaehl console I think. Looks sweet :)
wicked mixer!!!!
Very interesting. Didnt know Nihad is using an APB Dynasonics mixer
Wowww. Amazing content ❤
Thats what she said...
Great performance!
Solid looking mixer
Love my Pulsar 23… 👍
I want one
Would you choose this over SSL
this is a sick video, but I use an old mackie mixer from the 90s that does 90% of this for $150 vs $4.5k
crazy
Same
Me too, but let’s be honest this thing probably blows it out of the water with headroom
ok GAS incoming!
I need to know what MIDI led-lighbulb is at 2:29 :D
I see that Ensoniq DP4 hiding under the 9.
The one bit of gear I've wanted forever, and still waiting
Kinda out of my price range but maybe sometime in the future!
Does someone know what synth is besides the sh101?
Korg Opsix
pulsar 23
Do you know if he has the post or pre fader configuration?
post fader; allows distortion/clipping, but still control the output to interface via dir out
Thanks! @@SLBD0000000
@@SLBD0000000sick video, why the post fader version allows for clipping? one thing i keep reading about this mixer that it doesn’t sound good in the red, but perhaps this is true only with pre fader version?
@@zoundzpy post fader for the direct out allows to go into the reds and then set appropriate output to your audio interface, for example. i personally like the APB clipping sound, but it has it's own flavour, and is certainly different from the sound of an old boss bx or mackie vlz.
sweet, great info! thx
Clipping in the analog domain??? Nope, here you have harmonic distortions.
Another video with a lot of blah, blah, blah...
Question... What makes this mixer worth paying over 4 grand for it?
Well, it is an interview on the topic of my workflow and tracking process, hence the “blah blah”. But since you’re asking; I bought the mixer some 10+ years ago and was looking for something with a lot of features for routing, good eq and distortion, a lot of sends, and generally high quality build with very little crosstalk, but still in a compact case. If you research a bit you’ll see that this mixer is still one of the few (perhaps only?) on the market that ticks all of those boxes. If that’s worth the money is really up to you to decide based on your needs.

love your style, but yeah you can do the same workflow and clipping on a beat up old mackie. don't get me wrong, I would love to have this thing@@SLBD0000000
