I was about to buy one to replace my Midas Venice F16 which has a noisy fan however just found out this one also has a noisy fan! Damn
you can unplug the fan for studio work. this takes about 7 minutes to do.

24:53 - I guess with rackmount effects units it’s more foot-on rather than hands-on control. IMO Midi program change and expression pedals do the trick very nicely. It’s all you need for effects, really. Plus the workflow is quite cool and leaves your hands free to tweak something else at the same time. I love this video series btw and all the wisdom and golden nuggets shared! Thank you

@@SLBD0000000sick video, why the post fader version allows for clipping? one thing i keep reading about this mixer that it doesn’t sound good in the red, but perhaps this is true only with pre fader version?
@@zoundzpy post fader for the direct out allows to go into the reds and then set appropriate output to your audio interface, for example. i personally like the APB clipping sound, but it has it's own flavour, and is certainly different from the sound of an old boss bx or mackie vlz.

He needs to do something about his diabetes, nafld and high BP. Loss of 10kg or 10% body weight, preferably via a strict low carb diet, is strongly recommended for remission. And yes, he seems like a very nice guy and we'd like to have him around for years to come.

Another video with a lot of blah, blah, blah... Question... What makes this mixer worth paying over 4 grand for it?
Well, it is an interview on the topic of my workflow and tracking process, hence the “blah blah”. But since you’re asking; I bought the mixer some 10+ years ago and was looking for something with a lot of features for routing, good eq and distortion, a lot of sends, and generally high quality build with very little crosstalk, but still in a compact case. If you research a bit you’ll see that this mixer is still one of the few (perhaps only?) on the market that ticks all of those boxes. If that’s worth the money is really up to you to decide based on your needs. /Nihad
