The actual Sharpe isn't in that set is it?
@@richardrickaby3439 I think I see the head peachy used on that sprue. If you look closely on the top left of it.
Thanks! @@Irocrus
"Do YOU know what makes a good painter Peachy?!"
"Yes sir. The ability to rattlecan 3 minis a minute in any weather."
Perfection 😂
Perfect comment
I love the shift in perspective you provide. So many content creators paint and teach with a single model mindset. You're teaching the people, who love to game, how to get their models on the table. You're the guy that paints armies. You paint armies at a studio quality. Keep up the great work.
I appreciate that! Thank you for commenting 🙌🙌🙌
Just trying to do my it to help the rest of us mere mortal painters
Loving that photo in the background!
Courtesy of Mrs Peach 😍👍
Peachy's partner, probably: "Are these framed pictures around the house for the Sharp video?"
Peachy: "That's a great idea I should do a Sharp video"
Hahaha! Have you been listing in again 😂
@@PeachyTips 😂 I’m afraid that information is [Redacted]
Hahaha
@@wulvercreative6511in the words of Sharpe……B@STARD!
Thank you for trying our handles out Peachy, and we're happy you like them! It's nice to see painting guides on historical miniatures as well as the more commonly seen models - any friend of Sean Bean is a friend of ours!
Ha! I do love me some Sean Bean, and thanks again for the handles and attachments, I’ve got plenty to try out and play with, loving them so far 👍👍👍
110 views in 48 seconds of the videos release. Now that's soldiering.
😂😂😂
What have you done to that picture of Lady Farthingdale?
''YOU DISGRACED HER, SIR! YOU SHAMED HER, SIR! YOU WILL ANSWER!''
Hahaha!
Still would. 😉
"In the wise words of Sharpe Bean"
😂😂😂 ALL HAIL SHARPE BEAN!!!
Every episode of Sharpe:
"I can't believe they let this common trash serve as an officer. It's disgraceful!"
Same character 20 minutes later:
*shaking Sharpe's hand* "You are the best damned officer I have ever seen, Sharpe. You saved my life, and I'll never forget." *Salute*
😂😂😂 now that’s soldiering!
Nice to see you still have the Sharpe from your Warhammer Historical Waterloo army. Would love to see you and Duncan dust off those old armies and have a rematch for a battle report!
Hell Yeah! Would love to get a rematch going on at some point, and I could never part with my first Napoleonic version of Sharpe, he’s too preciousssss lol
Always a great day when the king of the car park aka a chosen man drops a new vid
Hahaha! 💪
I hope you're doing more stuff with Ben/Games Night in the future, you all are some of the best people I've come across in this weird corner of the internet, since returning to this space a year back.
Aww thanks, I had a great time with Ben and Lewis on Games Night, much fun was had, and hopefully we can reunite and fight yet more episodes of Sharpe or other such stuff 😍👍
Bring in the multiverse of Beans!! The many Beans
Brilliant vid. Such a lot of great approaches and tips to unpack. My favourite being to not be afraid to punch up the colours a bit more to make the minis look good on the table. As you said if it was super realistic then armies would look like shapeless dark blobs.
Bloopers were spot on 😂👍
Thanks dude! Yeah that Sharpe guy just couldn’t stay still…..the b@stard!
Ah man, those bloopers killed me
Who doesn't love Sharpe! Or Peachy.
The Perrys, apparently, as far as Sharpe's concerned
Thanks Peachy. Great to see the Sharpe legacy alive and well.
😂👍 B@STARDS!!! Gotta keep that Sharpe love strong
Loved this video, another great video Peachy.
Planning your painting? Now that’s soldering!
Now that's painting!
😂👍
SSSHHHAAARRRPPPEEEE
It's finally happened! He's finally done it! Woop woop 🙌 👏
Ya B@stards!!!
Now that’s soldiering!
And then Sean Bean ('s picture) dies at the end. Perfect comedic timing 😂
Hahaha! I never looked at it that way. AMAZING!!!
Thanks for another great video. I really get a lot out of watching you paint and how you use your brush and your technique.
Awesome! I’m glad I can be of help, and thanks for commenting too 😍👍
Will always support Peachy. Comments for the algorithm. Perfect combo of cozy vibes and effective advice.
😍🙏😍 you are too kind
We need a model release. Peachy as Richard Sharpe.
Loving your videos Peachy! I loved how you achieved the beard stubble effect!
Simple I find is always the best…..at least that’s what Mrs Peach says 👀😂
Teaching people how to get their mini’s on the table fast! Now that’s soldiering! Chosen Man!
🫡
Sipping tea before painting sharpes chosen men… now that’s soldiering! CHOSEN MEN!
FOR YORKSHIRE!!!
Doing that trick to make the stubble is great, definitely gotta try that. Another thing I use test models is to figure out in what order I need to paint elements going through the classic inside to outside approach. I was painting some Death Guard and I found through my test that I should do the hard to reach areas first so if I make a mistake on them later it'll be harder to navigate around already painted areas making cleanup a chore
☝️💯☝️ great advice!
How could I not love this, Sharpe is just amazing. They look great too!
😘😘😘 SHARPE IS DA BEST!!!
Glad I watched this this kit is my next purchase. Thank you !
It’s a great kit, a lot of options on the sprue tbh, so many variants of officer and rifleman 😍👍
@@PeachyTips I only wish that Wargames Atlantic would make a French skirmish box set.
Another great video from Mrs Sharpe
😂😂😂
Goodnight Dear Prince 😘
These would be so good for Silver bayonet!
That’s certainly the plan, plus all the other soldiers I’ve painted up too, got a few pics on my Instagram of the other guys
THE NAME OF THIS CHANNEL SHOWS YOUR LACK OF LOYALTY TO YORKSHIRE TEA!!!
Even all caps cannot reflect my rage...
😂😂😂 there is only one brand of tea, and they Yorkshire tea!
The only tea that’s worthy of my mouth.
I’m confused though this is Peachy Tips the painting channel, is there a tea brand called Peachy Tips then 🤔😉
@@PeachyTips I am a damned fool for assuming that the superb name Peachy Tips was in any way a reference to the inferior tea brand, PG Tips.
I formally apologize for questioning your commitment to Yorkshire tea.
Sometimes you just have to play the pun, I can respect that. It's gonna bugger up what could have been a great sponsorship opportunity though.... 😂
@@KnightSquirehahaha! I’ve heard a few folks question this channel name, I mean when I go to the shops, I’ve always thought the tea aisle should be called the Yorkshire aisle 🤷♂️😂
Eegads, it's @@KnightSquire! I see you wield the brush as well as the blade. Fair play, mate! Love your content.
that green wash is just the thing for merging the greens. And now I have some Sharpey to watch
Yeah it worked a treat
I am glad you have an ibsession with Sharpe, as i am waiting for my eyes to settle down before painting Bavarian, Feench and Ebglish Napoleonic armies. Now i gave the Fanatic recipe fir Rifke Green. Now i need Baverian Blue and Yager Green in Fanatic
Ooh, we’ll I guess I’ll have to do more Napoleonic related content then
Love it.
Great video mate, thanks!
Congrats on getting married the man himself. That picture is a treasure in its self 😂
😂😂👌 I’m so proud of Mrs Peach’s talents hahaha
By my count that’s 1.51 Sharpes per minute! That’s good going Peachy, but it can be higher! Also, I can’t believe that Sean Bean even died (twice) in this video, the man just couldn’t stay on that shelf!
Hahaha! Yeah those are some rookie Sharpe numbers 😂😂😂
I guess he had to balance out the survives to dies rate lol
@@PeachyTips You robbed yourself of a few Sharpes by referring to him as just Richard, Richards don’t count.
More more!
Nice peach there, Peachy.
I'd say thy're looking....SHARP...
Perfect kind of video! I always struggle with it. Will keep this in mind when planning my new Middle Earth Army!
Peachy, with Legions Imperialis being pretty popular a lot of us are approaching painting small scale minis for the first time. Might be a great video opportunity to give us all some pointers on painting armies at smaller scales! Maybe even a chance to demonstrate on some 6mm Napoleonics if not Legions Imperialis minis :) Just a thought anyway! Keep up the great work :)
Interestingly I’m looking at doing a video about painting little soldiers, it won’t be immediately appearing but I have thoughts and plans. Thanks for the suggestion and comment, it’s nice to know my head meat thoughts aren’t just nonsense lol
Fab! Its certainly a subject that bears discussion. I, like many others I am sure, have started painting these smaller scales and in some ways its like learning a whole different thing. There really is more an emphasis on giving the appearance that stuff is painted, when really its somewhat sketched in! Anyway, you are definitely on the right track with your vids. Will keep watching, liking and commenting :) Thanks for all the time and effort you are putting in, a lot of folks dont know how much goes into making videos for youtube :)@@PeachyTips
Can you please make a video explaining and demonstrating the differences between shades, washes and glazes and how to make our own?
Ooh that’s a fun idea for a video 👍
Painting a test model is such great advice. Loved the bloopers at the end too, Sharpe-Bean should learn there's no escaping from Peachy!
Sharpe Bean! 😂
Glad you enjoyed the video 👍
Hi peachy, lovin your content. I am very proud to say I served 10 years as a rifle man in the Royal Green Jackets ( now the Rifles). I love Sharp and painting miniatures. I have a suggestion for you, how about a space marine in 95th colour scheme? Keep up the good work, swift and bold. Oh and as info, rifle men call bayonets swords
Cheers Andrew, that's a great idea, and also....awesome to here you were a Rifleman....nice.
i did do a dumb and say bayonets....i also said in another video on the Painting Phase (the previous channel i worked on) Musket!....all adds to wonderful folks like you reaching out and saying hi...which is great.
cheers
Peachy
Another great video
Cheers Toby 😘
I should really read Sharpe some day.
There’s some decent audio books, so you can hobby and ‘read’ at least that’s how I do it lol
I loved every minute of this video, so much great advice! But the one thing I really took away, is that peachy’s face being inserted into Richard Sharpe‘s wedding photo is the greatest thing ever
Hahaha! I foresee I’ll need to add a few little treats like that in future vids 😂
Great minis and great video! The test mini is one thing I am slowly incorporating after all these years.
Tbf it took me moving into a design studio to realise the importance of such a crucial yet helpful stage
Wohuu, perfect timing for a cup of tea❤
2p bases is correct. Thanks for the video, very helpful to see some of the tidying up stages
Well done Peachy, i just bought the British Riflemen box and started to listen to the books again because of this video
Ahhh that’s amazing! It’s a great set of minis and great set of books 🙌
I once met Pete postlethwaite on my way to work being a big fan of Sharpe all I could say was Sharpie!!! and he laughed and responded you can't kill me
Hahaha! That’s amazing, I do love it when actors respond in character
I stopped painting a while ago. The thing I really miss is trying to hold something just right, holding my breathe for the detail then getting it just right. Its beautiful to see you doing that Chief.
😍👍 yeah I do find getting that breathing and steadiness does take the longest time to perfect, but it will come in time
More… more… more… we need more Sharpe!! 😊
😂😂😂
It's about bastard time you put up a proper Sharpe guide, great work as always.
😂👍
You should add a Borosharpe to your collection. That was fun, your painting videos are so relaxed.
I’m chuffed you enjoy them 😍🙏😍
Been wanting to watch the Sharpe series for years. Never saw an episode. But, because of your video today, I subscribed to BritBox and started watching. Thanks!
Awesome! I will ruin your day now though…..you can watch it on CZcams for free, I’ve been linking the episodes after each vid, eeek sorry
@@PeachyTips I started to watch it on CZcams but the version had Spanish sub-titles. It’s a one week trial…so I’ll go check out your link ;)
What a great topic for a video!
Excellent video, thoroughly enjoyed it.
I enjoy all of peachy’s videos
i wish more people would take inspiration from battle reports like the games night one. the framing and multiple angles really orient the viewer and provide a sense of scale.
well to finally see some sharpe
lovely vid about something you are very passionate about - thanks for the effort! And so glad you have your own channel! yay! All the best with it! Particularly liked the Stephen King/Misery "Sharp trying to leave the room" improv left in :)
Hahaha! Bloody Bean trying to scarper! 🤷♂️😂
Great video. Never understood the paper towel thing. I know in the last few years I've heard it but I've only had it happen once and I got paper towels that were less than a dollar so I think it was that.
I'm very excited to use this paint range. I plan to get the entire range for my store. It's gonna be fun to play around with them.
Very excited in the choosing a colour scheme video!
Love the way you’re doing groups of models
Cheers, it can be a bit tricky to film, but I’d like to show bigger groups as I get more savvy and confident with the filming side of things
Boromir of the white tower ❤
Would love to hear more about your silver bayonet exploits with this team
It would be rude not to, possibly the best advice given for anyone who wants to paint their toys, another great advice video so thank you Mr. Peach 🍑 😊
I’m not trying to be awkward (s beginning almost as insulting as “I’m not trying to be racist but…” as I don’t play historical games of any description, nor do I have any real knowledge about the Sharpe stories other than the ones that were made into a television series and even that is lacking yet I had always thought that instead of the English armed forces that were having a casual toe-to-toe discussion with Napoleon’s forces did not actually have a mob of specialists because any such specialist would be assigned to a larger group (I know that I am truly displaying just how much I don’t know about anything…) almost as if a single sharp shooting person would have a larger group of soldiers and they would march to and from wherever they were assigned to attack or whatever it was they did, I have read a lot of other books that Cornwall is very liberal with the truth so is that game just a representation of the stories instead of history?
Sorry that took me so long to get to the point of the question.
🙋♀️
Love the outtakes at the end haha
great tips, peach
Congratulations on your marriage Mrs Sharpe.
You better wear your wedding dress to Salute 51 😆
Hahaha! I will
Big fan of the 95th Rifles as well! Great painting tutorial!
Excited for the next video🎉🎉🎉
Great video buddy!!! Love your content! #fellowyoutuber i remeber u from years ago at medohall when i was into lotr! Recently got back into the hobby last year! Hope ur well dude
Wow! That takes me back, and I had hair then too, cheers for dropping into the comments, I’ve just subbed to your channel too.
At meadow hall were you staff? Or a regular customer? My memory is bad and it was a lifetime ago lol.
@@PeachyTips haha its cool man! And i was a regular customer. I recently got back into the hobby last year and after setting up my own channel, i came across you and was like “haaaayyyy wait a minute i remember that guys!!” 😂😂😂
Hope ur well brother! Hopefully well meet up one day and have a brew!! 👌🏻👌🏻
That photo in the background is tremendous. 😂
Hahaha! It’s not even photoshopped lol
@PeachyTips well you look beautiful, congratulations 🤣
Great video! And definately looking forward to a video on planning paint schemes 👍
Roger that 😍👍
Peachy, you killed me with that photo of you in a wedding dress. Lol
🤣👍
I used a test model for my Camo scheme for my guard. It was the Platoon Commander from the Cadia Stands box, something something about first in, last out type of thing.
I think you like sharpe 😅 lovely video buddy ❤
Thanks 😅
Great vid Peachy! Let’s have a look those other Silver Bayonet minis! 😊
Great advice, I recently got into historical modelling and they are tiny! It’s got too a point where I paint the skin around the eyebrows instead of just all over as some are so small you can barely see the eyebrows
I can’t help but see Harrison Ford in that face sculpt 😅🙈
I know, as soon as it was mentioned to me that was it, well at least we know there’s a decent Harrison Ford miniature face out there 😂
Always love a PEachy VIdeo to listen to whilst I hobby
I see Sharpe, I watch
Better planning than Napoleon Peachy! You mad bastard.
😂👍
Peachy, have you thought about making guest appearances at the armed forces events? We'd love to have you and I can guarantee you'd be welcomed!
I would love that 😍😍😍
Not sure who to contact about that though, so do let me know
@@PeachyTips we can figure something out :)
Oh boy, I love Sharpe.
A superb video Mr Peach. The approach you take makes me feel better about mine and I like how you touched on new range of paints use. I am looking to branch out from citadel soon and the Fanatic range is one I've thought on. They seemed quite good in this video, I shall ponder more.
Also Sharpe/Sean Bean was being a bit of a B*****d for you! Lol. More Peachy outakes in future!!
Cheers Stuart, the fanatic range is really good, still learning a lot about all the different colours etc, but the metallics and special effects are fantastic
As awesome as ever, Mr Peach. Im loving this channel.
Chiltern Miniatures did a banging Sharpe and Harper. Now out of business but I think SHQ Miniatures inherited their moulds, although SHQ seem to be on a hiatus at the moment. Worth keeping an eye out though....
Thanks for the heads up on that, I’ll certainly keep an eye out
Peachy, you've done me a damn good turn (with this video).
And are you now going to do me a damned bad one 😂👍
@PeachyTips 🤣🤣 absolutely!! I'm making you an officer, Peachy. From this point on, you're a Lieutenant in the 95th.
Hogan (or everyone), meet Mr Peachy!
Lol the picture in the background had me in stitches from the outset
😂👍 all courtesy of Mrs Peach, she’s a bad influence
Great timing, this is something I'm currently trying to figure out for my Tyranid scheme. I've got the colours I'm going to use lined up, but deciding on specific tones/shades has me in something of analysis paralysis 🤣 it's at this point I'm thinking I may have bought too many paints....
Yep analysis paralysis is certainly a big roadblock in painting, I’m sure if you keep the palette to a few colours to start with you’ll find a scheme that works
