Hello my name is Pat and my channel is RicherinYears.
I am 74 years old, 5'3" and a size 10-12. I love sharing my love of fashion, my style and Beauty tips. I hope you enjoy watching my videos and hope they give you lots of ideas and inspiration.

I have chosen for today's video a lovely selection of Spring/Summer Dresses that I am looking forward to showing you from Next including Roman, Aspiga and Jolie Moi designs. There are so many gorgeous dresses to chose from for when the weather starts to get warmer and also perfect to wear on your Summer holidays. I love all these dresses and hope you love them too.

My favorite is the red and white. Lovely!
My favourite dress was the red and white one from Aspiga. I sometimes think you should buy what you really love and sometimes if it is more expensive you get your money's worth out of it. Hope all goes well with your eye. Two years ago I went to Boots Opticians and he told me I had the start of a cataract but that it would probably be about 10yrs before it was bad enough to operate. Last year I went to Boots for my eye test and saw a different optician, I mentioned the cataract and she said "what cataract"???? Have a good weekend.x
Hi Margo yes I liked the red and white one I think I'll keep that one and the cream one. It's strange about the cateract maybe it wasn't there in the first place which is good isn't it.

Ooh Pat, I loved everything on this video, I’ve had lots of Roman clothing and I always seem to find they fit just right, but unless I get the petite they are lots too long on me, like the one with the border on the bottom, I’d probably need to take that up so I would loose all of the border, so it would spoil the look. I’m even shorter than you, think I’m only just over 5 ft now( was 5ft 2 😮) but you are slim and elegant so I personally think you carry the longer length well. x

Beautiful dresses! I agree....the lengths are a bit too long. I used to wear high heels to compensate but not now! My favourites are ones I can wear with trainers or sandals. You looked lovely in all of them.❤

I love the first one best and they are quite long sometimes I find they can tend to make us look older if too flowy. They all look lovely on you though.

Pat all those dresses were lovely. You looked fabulous in them all. I had a cataract on my right eye not too bad I had it removed thursday. My goodness I cant believe how things have honestly become crystal clear. I was dreading the op but honestly it was fast and no pain. Look forward to your next video. Have a lovely weekend x❤

Hi Pat, well I cannot decide which one I like more than the other because they all fit you beautifully. Seems to be the fashion of late to have long dresses, as you say we are not all 6ft tall. I have also been informed a cataract in my right eye, bit blurry at times but nothing that bothers me. It seems because it is very slight, it’s not worthy of an op. Thank goodness. Just been told to protect my eyes in the sun. The dresses are fab and as always great choices. Enjoy your weekend Pat and I will see you in the next. Take care xx

Lovely dresses Pat. You look beautiful in all of them. Aspiga dresses are beautiful but a bit pricey, I did buy one in their sale last summer. Well worth looking at their sales. Yes, I find some dresses just too long on me (5’4”). I always try and look for midi dresses rather than maxi ones although it’s frustrating when you do see one in a maxi which you love. Lovely video, Pat, the dresses are beautiful but, like you, I’m 5’ 3” and find them too long. Roman do a petite range, not as much selection but maybe try some of those in a future vlog. Looking forward to the next one 😊

Having my cataracts removed was a game changer. It was the easiest surgery to get through I can imagine.

Had my cataract done just before Christmas. Amazing difference! Really nothing to the operation - it only takes a few minutes.
Love Jolie Moi and can usually depend on being able to find a dress for whatever occasion. The floaty dress is lovely and feminine - garden party comes to mind. Keep showing the Roman range and Jolie Moi. Have you ever tried any Joe Brown? The clothes do tend, on the whole, to perhaps be a little hippy but they have some lovely tea dresses. Just an idea. I’ve just booked for an eye test next week and last time I went they said I had the beginnings of a cataract. I don’t fancy the operation at all but don’t suppose it will be for a while yet. Hope all goes well for you.

Hi Pat. Fabulous selection today. I was ready to order the blue button through dress until you showed the hem. I'm barely 5ft so would probably lose the whole border 😥. Love the turquoise and white one too, very vibrant. I was diagnosed with cataracts recently as well, worse in the right eye. It feels as though I've got "sleep" in my eye and if I'm reading I'm very aware that my right eye isn't as clear. Hope you get it sorted soon x

@patgarner8457 My optician wants to see me in a year to see how it's going but I can go back sooner if things deteriorate and he'll decide if a referral is needed. I'm not too worried about the op - at least for now. Might be a different story if and when the time comes 🫣

Hi Kate thank you so much, lovely comments, I bought the green dress from Zara about 2 years ago and would you believe I haven't worn it yet in fact it still has the tags on. I thought I'd mistakenly put it in the charity bag but it had fallen down right at the back of my wardrobe. ❤
Hello Pat just a little mention re your eye, I have not heard of anyone with cataracts being able to see them, did your optician give you a scan, if not it maybe worth having one most opticians do two types one of which is a very thorough one hope you don't mind me mentioning this. x
Hi Jeanette, good to hear from you, when I googled it did say that part of your eye can be a but fuzzy if that's the right word. Yes he did a few tests to check it and also the test that shows all the back of the eyes and that was ok. He's doing another one on where he puts drops in your eyes, don't know what that is. Thanks for the advice though ❤
