- Hello my name is Pat and my channel is Richerinyears. I am 74 years of age, 5'3" and a dress size 10-12. I love sharing with you my love of fashion, my style and Beauty tips. I hope you enjoy watching my videos and hope they give you lots of ideas and inspiration.
This week's haul and try on is a lovely selection of dresses from Next featuring the new KEW Collection plus various dresses including Roman and Laura Ashley. I hope you enjoy this haul and like the items I'm showing. Dresses that will be lovely for holidays, Summer barbecues and should you need an outfit if you are attending a wedding this Summer, then any of these dresses would the perfect choice, just add a fascinator, shoes and a clutch bag in a colour to compliment your outfit.

All the dresses looked good on you. My favourite was the sleeveless blue with the large white flowers which also looked good with the short white jacket. There’s no need to fuss about your arms - they’re perfect.

Pat I have never seen you in anything that does not suit. I am a great lover of pink in any form so the cerise one is very nice. I do not dislike the Laura Ashley, very pretty and unique with the loops. Anything seems to go nowadays but you have to feel comfortable yourself. With a tan….fab. Don’t dislike anything. Loved all the dresses, my favourites were the pink & White Roman dress and the blue & white button down dress, don’t think the white one looks too young for you at all, but it’s what you feel comfortable in. I’m a Roman fan so I don’t think you can go wrong with them.I agree most of the dresses are really long this year, not good for my 5 ft height😮 though. x

Hi Pat, I have to admit that the first dress you showed I wasn't too impressed with but when you tried it on I thought it was strikingly beautiful on you and would look lovely as a special occasion dress and you definitely can wear sleeveless! When I play your video my husband always says "Is that the British gal you always enjoy watching"? Yes, I do enjoy your channel Pat! You are a breath of fresh air!
Love the Roman dresses always good value for money suits older ladies without being frumpy. Really liked the pink dress on you nice holiday dress.

You never need worry over the style being too young for you Pat as you have a very youthful figure so you can carry them off. I loved everything like I normally do, you’re someone who knows what suits them and stays away from the styles that don’t. If I was pushed to pick one I thought the cerise colour was so eye catching pinks are definitely your colour. So pleased you are back with us you’re a joy to watch. Xx

I always have loved Laura Ashley as it’s clothing is a staple all year. You can wear anything at all and it will look good on you. That pink dress and blue one looks stunning on you. I like that white dress but if you watch that back you will see for yourself. Personally I like this on you but you need a positive comment which I cannot give you. That would look nice at a wedding. You are one classy lady with no age limits

Another good video Pat..i really liked the blue/white dress,wore with the jacket..the belt made quite a difference! I actually would like to see you in some separates- I am short and won't be buying dresses I have to lop 6 ins off the bottom..its nice to see you in them though,looking beautiful!..glad to see you back and hope your eyes are healed now..xx

I think petite average height woman like yourself really suit dresses so much as the waist and everything just sits exactly where it should . I look like a giant child in dresses as I’m tall 😅. Hi Pat, great to see you back. As much as we're all craving some sunshine I think the dull weather might be better for your eyes. The pink and white definitely my favourite and the colour is so you. Both blue ones are lovely too. The Kew one would be beautiful for a wedding or event. The white is my least favourite, I think you look nice in it but its just a bit plain. I'd prefer it in a bold colour, but maybe that's just me.

Hi Nikki it's from H&M but I bought it 3 years ago. There are lots of white jackets in stores at the moment so I hope you find something similar if I see something on my shopping travels I'll let you know. Pat x

Annoyingly, as usual, they don't look that appealing to me on the hanger, but you put them on and they look amazing and far more high end than they are. Don't know how you manage it. As I've said before, you should apply to a modelling agency who deals with our age group. They all looked fab on you - except the Laura Ashley one which looks like a Victorian Pinny, and yes, whilst you can carry off the "pretty" look, which I couldn't and wouldn't ... that LA one is too girly. (Maybe okay on a 10 year old) . I was reading that LA are doing a range, reviving their iconic dresses of the 70's 80s - (the originals now sell for a lot of money) - so that white one is probably one of the revived patterns. It would work with the whole mop cap look that Biba also did, but one would have to go the whole hog with the OTT 70s make - up as well.
