- Yeah this song hit close to home. It honestly depicts the end of a relationship so well. I don’t think this could have been written any better.

T-Swift deciding to re-record her entire catalog so the people who owned her original masters couldn't make money off them anymore is the most punk thing any musical artist has ever done.
My daughter is 22 and her and all her friends are swiftys. She’s made me into one now too 😅❤
It really is.
@@MUFC1933 same!!! I now love TS because of my daughter. 😅 going to the Eras Tour, I’m so excited.
Taylor Swift is the music industry, she is changing the game!
You really don’t know punk then 🤣
As a bon Iver fan, hearing Justin’s deep tone was such a shock cuz we RARELY hear it and it fit so perfectly for this song, then hearing his higher falsetto harmonies in the background just hit so hard. I really wanna see Taylor and Justin work together again frfr.
have you heard evermore yet? (the song, ft bon iver, but also the entire album is incredible)
I was also gonna mention the song evermore
Listen to his band before he formed Bon Iver:
DeYarmond Edison
8 (circle) is a favourite because he uses his baritone 🥰
Coney Island is also good with Bon Iver. Love these 2 doing duets together! I NEED MORE lol
This girl can WRITE.
Calling out the people that trash her just to be "edgy' is so dope of you!
SO DOPE!
Anyone who truly loves music can listen to any genre from death metal to classical and everything in between and appreciate talent !! Period. It’s your own loss if you can’t open your mind to the beauty that is music.
as a fan of everything including death metal and classical and taylor swift, i agree 💜
say anything you want about taylor, but damn can she write a song. This is my first song i have heard from this album as i dont listen to the radio really, but damn. she is so good.
This and evermore were very “non radio” yet still somehow found its way there with cardigan, Willow, and august being pretty popular on radio, even tho they were folk-ish music.
It just shows her power fr
The entire folklore and evermore albums are unbelievable. Next level.
Im sorry, but Taylor is the one of the few incredible songwriters that can transcend any genre she tries. Its awesome you are having a look at her stuff & would be amazing if you did her song Nothing New ft Pheobe Bridgers. Its stunning😘
What makes it more stunning is that she wrote it at age 22
@@Starbuck-dr7yl & recorded at 32 after everything she feared had come true😕
Nothing new is one of my favorite vault recordings from Red. 💗💗
you open mindedness is incredibly appreciated!! So many people have a hardcore hatred against Taylor which is why some Swifties can be so defensive sometimes. It hurts to see your favorite artist (who is super talented) always being shit on. Thank you for your willingness to see what Taylor is really about. Awesome reaction!! If I were going to recommend another song it would be My Tears Ricochet from Folklore.
This is up in my top three favorite songs from Folklore. Bon Iver's voice, the poetry of the melancholy, gets me every time. So glad you're reacting to Taylor Swift! A powerhouse indeed. And a poet. Rare combination.
Bon Iver is the band. Justin Vernon is the singer.
My wife and daughters are big Swifties, My boys and I are big Chiefs fans. It’s a happy time in our household.
That said, Folklore is her best album, IMO and this song is great.
This year superbowl would have been really fun for u 😅
You touched on the main reason Taylor is so popular. She writes songs, the vast majority can identify with. I have a friend that won’t listen to sad songs. I need them. I get comfort in knowing I’m not alone in my hurt. It makes me feel a bit better. I love this song for the story. My many break ups were different. But the voices are rich, and just a bit haunting.
Where you're from doesn't matter. Taylor writes songs about : betrayal, loss, fear, despair, pain, loneliness, heartbreak, infatuation, jealously, depression, anger, revenge hatred and love. Anyone can relate.
This is why I suggested it, I knew you'd appreciate the writing! To me, it's amazing, especially the call-and-answer part. You don't really hear that too much in modern music! Sorry to put you in your feels, lol.
When I first heard this song, it was on a Boston radio station that plays mainly rock music and I had no clue it was a Taylor Swift song. I was driving at the time and when she sang "I gave so many signs", I nearly drove off the road because it was shortly after my wife left me and she had said the same thing.
im a 36 year old metalhead, fell in love with a swifty and now im one XD mommy raises her children right. oh and please do taylor - call it what you want. keep it up man i love your channel such a great down to earth human :D
Bon Iver is an amazing artist. Real name is Justin Vernon who went into the woods of Wisconsin and lived in a cabin one winter to write his breakthrough album For Emma, Forever Ago. You should check it out.
Another great Taylor duet that shows the perspective of both people in the relationship is called The Last Time!
Folklore is a great album, especially considering it is a product of what we all went through in 2020. According to Wikipedia, she recorded her parts "in a inbuilt studio at her Los Angeles residence" while working with producers remotely. My favorite songs from the album are "seven," "the 1," "cardigan," and the song that you just reacted to. If you are interested into checking out more from Taylor, may I suggest "Bad Blood" featuring Kendrick Lamar? If you have not seen the video, I think it is worth checking out.
Thanks for another great reaction.
This is a great track and a wonderful collaboration. Taylor Swift isn't my bag normally but the Folklore album was great. To find out about Bon Iver have a watch at his performance of Skinny Love on Later with Jools Holland an absolutely unbelievably raw performance.
This song stopped me in my tracks the first time I heard.
Great song, great collaboration
Taylor and Justin incredible ❤🎶
Wow thanks! I would have never thought I would enjoy a Taylor Swift song, thanks for introducing me to this song
Welcome to the TSwizzle rabbit hole... You are going to be amazed especially with the deep cuts....
Exile and All too Well are insane writing! My fav songs of hers!
Has to be the 10 minute version of All Too Well.
Thanks for reacting to Exile - one of my favorites of Taylor's. She has a LOT of songs I could call my favorite.
This is one of the best written songs of Taylor's. Her + Bon Iver is a duo made in Heaven. The picture it paints with the thoughts in each person's mind is almost too real. Bravo.
This song is from the Folklore album. Most of Folklore and it's sister album Evermore are not personal songs. A few are but most aren't. This song has nothing to do with her life. The Long Pond Sessions, Folklore are great. They show Taylor singing, Aaron Dessner playing the guitar and Jack Antinoff playing the paino. They are at Aaron's cabin/studio.
Also the City of Lovers live from Paris is a good concert. It is just Taylor and her guitar playing her album Lover. Both of the above "concerts" are broken up into videos too.
Oh I'm here for more Taylor Swift content!
When he says “ 13 years ago” 😋
Have you done My Tears Ricochet? Long Pond Studio sessions? If not, that’s my rec! A beautiful, mesmerizing performance about her record label breaking her heart.
Great song and great reaction!
Exile and Timeless are my absolute favorite Taylor Swift songs ❤ but Reputation is my favorite album ❤
Such a beautiful love song 2 people in love but when love is not enough 😢😢😢
Thank you for calling out those people who hate her for no reason. If u guys don't like her, then go find another thing to watch. Don't spread ur negativity here when people are just trying to enjoy the things we enjoy. 💗
I really feel you, I mostly listen to rock (despite my pfp) and it's not common at all for music to make me cry but Taylor has done it more than few times. Songs like Tolerate It, This Is Me Trying, The Best Day and The Archer really rocked my soul.
PS: You were spot on when talking about how smart she is. And that good music transcents genre, where I'm from rap isn't that big and while it's not my cup of tea there are some rappers that still listen to because some songs are too good to not listen to just because I'm not a fan of the genre.
dubu what are you doing here?
Enjoying good music?
@@Mravenrocks as you should, love to see it
That "so step right out! There is no amount of crying I can do for you" Always choked me with sudden sadness and pain. Damn this song is so well written with great execution. It's a heart break song, but so bitter, not melancholy but so hurtful
Another fantastic reaction to another favorite song. Here for more Taylor!! 💕
Thank you for reacting to one of favorite songs. ❤️ Can you please react to Long Pond Studio acoustic version of this beautiful song? It’s heavenly
I cannot believe I just discovered your Taylor Swift reactions! I always watch your Eminem reactions and they are two of my favorite artists. The fact you mentioned and compared them, I am losing it! I’m going to watch the rest of your Taylor reactions and then I have suggestions as a hip hop lover who is also a swiftie.
I am new to your channel and really appreciated your openness, vulnerability and understanding just how talented Taylor really is.
This is one of those songs I wish went on another 5 minutes
Taylor swift isnt my kind of music but I still respect her as an artist and of course I will watch gotta show the support xx ❤️🐢❤️ xx
Less than a minute and a half in. Just based off the intro I'm giving a sub. I'm curious to what your first Taylor reaction was so I'll be looking into that next. Sophisticated commentary and genuine reaction. I'm hoping to see more Taylor in the future.
I hope you react more to Taylor, she is such a good songwriter. I hope you react to All Too Well (10-min version) or Champagne Problems.
One of my absolutely favorite songs. Great job keep up the good work.❤
I love this song
NICE! I’m relatively new to her music and I have to say I was not a hater but I did not go out of my way to listen to her music. I am glad I finally did. This is a great song she wrote with her boyfriend of nearly 7 years. Its fictional & I do think everyone has been through this. Folklore was my first album I ever listened to of hers and it truly is spectacular. Not really my type of music, but its the songwriting and instrumentals that got me hooked. Just so good. If you liked this with Bon Iver, they did another song together called evermore. i like it better, but some like this one better. Since I was recently introduced to her music, and you seem to appreciate her songwriting, I would suggest the following: tolerate it, my tears ricochet, and a recent one that is a deep track called would’ve could’ve shouldve, and her current bop Anti-Hero. Her range is impressive, country-country rock-country pop- pop- indie/alternative. She has a good deep cut with Phoebe Bridgers called Nothing New (released in 2021 but written in 2011 at age 21). One of my favorites with a killer guitar riff is called Tis the Damn Season. So much to choose from. I see you did Lucky One, interesting choice. Its a deep cut, not a single, not a fan fave by any means from that album, and its about Joni Mitchell. But its a solid track from that album. The Red TV album in general is great. I would suggest State of Grace, has a guitar that reminds me of the Edge. If you really wanted, you could do one song from each of her 10 albums ( I’ll suggest one well known song and one deep cut).
1. Debut. Our Song. Shouldve said no (not really a deep cut)
2. Fearless. The most awarded country album in country music history. Try Fearless or the deep cut The Other side of the door.
3. Speak Now. Entirely self-written album. try Back to December. Deep cut…. So many on this album. For you, I’d suggest Story of Us.
4. Red. All Too Well (live at the Grammys). Deep cut= state of grace
5. 1989. Blank Space. Deep Cut = Clean
6. Reputation. Ready for it (music video); deep cut : Don’t Blame me (live Reputation stadium tour)
7. Lover. Lover (music video); deep cut: false god (live SNL)
8. folklore. August. Deep cut: Mad woman.
9. Evermore. Champagne Problems. Deep cut: Tolerate it
10. Midnights. Anti-Hero. Deep Cut: Would’ve Could’ve Shouldve
Hauntingly beautiful!
I’m here to see more Taylor Swift. Subscribed
And can I just say, you are sooooo cool!💗
Omg, YES; finally you listend to Bon Iver!! 💚 Please check out some Bon Iver songs, they are so versitile and beatuiful. I recommend either of those (preferably live):
- Heavenly Father (Sydney Opera House version is best)
- Woods (you might know this song in part as Kanye sampled it)
- Skinny Love
- Creeks
- 33 God (has a Paolo Nutini sample in it)
Thank you 💁♀
love the fact your reacting to taylor and are appreciating her artistry! it would be amazing if you could check out 'my tears ricochet or this is me trying ( both long pond session) ' or 'tolerate it'. They're very lyrically profound. The great war is another one full of metaphors, hidden meanings. I think you'll like these suggestions!
Love your reaction! Gonna go check out more of your videos!
First time viewer! Love Taylor and as a huge music fan I appreciate you being open to any music and given it a chance.
This song just shatters my heart.
I was wondering about the Sox cap. Southside, huh? I used to work at 95th and Harlem. Anyway, thanks for the great reaction. Many of Taylor's songs hit many in their feels. It's a normal thing, so don't be embarrassed about it. I'd be very happy seeing you react to her video, Cardigan. I also just subscribed. YAY!
Such a beautiful touching song
Please watch bon iver's performance on Sydney opera House. I swear it's an experience that everyone should have once in their life.
Also you do amazing at letting us know that it’s okay if you don’t like the song, not everyone LOVES Taylor Swift (like me I’ll admit I’m a swiftie)😂 but it’s okay if you don’t like one or two or even 3 plus of her songs. I hope you explore more Taylor though I subscribed and liked!😊🩵
I love me some Taylor swift 🎶😉✌🏽
🎶music is life 🎶
This whole concept of him being so kind to listen to Taylor is mucho chauvy
Taylor's and Bon Iver 's voices go so well together
They did another song together in the album after this one (this one is Folklore, and the sister album to it is Evermore which was released only a couple of months afterwards.)
He is featured in the title track- Evermore
It's emotional and incredible and you should def check it out!
Loved the reaction 😍 and dw it makes all of us emotional
hope we get to see more taylor swift 😊
Oh my please react to ‘tolerate it’. One of my favorite songs by her
SUBSCRIBED. expecting more of her in this channel
Sorry to throw multiple reccomendations at you, but her songs Exile, and also Champagne Problems, and Tolerate it all feature her cowriter (&boyfriend) Joe Alwyn (credited under alias William Bowery) all are heartbreaking, but immaculately written. Hes contributed to others, but on this theme those 3 are just amazing.
He doesn't sing on them though but has writing credits.
@ameliadavis1979 that's what I meant😂🙈 I'm a dummy at times lol
Not my usual choice of genre but good song. Great reaction as always Cliff
Just found your channel. It's great.👌🏼💯 Subscribed to hopefully see more Taylor reactions. One of her most underrated songs, is absolutely "Epiphany." It's so good. Others of hers to react to would be Clean, Mad Woman, Would've Could've Should've, & Bigger Than The Whole Sky.
PLEASE react to All Too Well (10 minute version).
Yaas!!
I don’t listen to her but she is extremely talented without a doubt
Song hits us all. Hardcore.
I'm really late to this reaction, clearly lol, but I love that you had started checking out TS. This song is one of my favorites off this album 'Folklore.' Not sure if you've moved on from Taylor, but I highly recommend checking out her album Folklore. In terms of songwriting, imo it's definitely one of her strongest projects. Her songwriting is unmatched imo anyway, but that album is pure fire. Evermore, Midnights and TTPD are all amazing as well!
React to tolerate it
Just going through something similar, this hits home.
Justin Vernon is the lead singer for the band Bon Iver. It's confusing the way it's listed.
Beautiful harmony between them.
Her lyrics and storytelling are amazing.
She tried and gave so many signs that something was wrong and they needed to work on it.
He never saw the signs.....maybe they would have worked out if he saw the signs
You should do more Bon Iver, start with Holocene it’s very good
i cannot wait for you to react to more
This song was also nominated for a Grammy
I cried again.😢
One of my all time favorites. I think this is the best breakup song I’ve heard. TS is the best.
💜
❤❤❤❤❤
It's on her folklore Album #8
It’s a heart breaking song
Hope you and your girl are ok. ❤️
Taylor Swift and Bon Iver making me cry like I just watched The Lion King for the first time all over again! 😂🦁
Ah you reacted to exile! Thank you for your reaction they were great as always 💚
You would probably like Reputation. It's a bit more trap based and she even raps on it! Her and Eminem are very similar in the sense that pretty much everything she writes has a double meaning.
Also, she wrote this song with her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn (he used a pseudonym, William Bowery, but she revealed it was him in the Long pond studio sessions). He wrote the full first verse.
TS does it all her concerts and music and shes always been herself from the beginning. ❤🙂😎
"I'm not a singer who writes my own songs. I'm a songwriter who sings the songs I write..."
She has another song with Bon Iver called evermore on her evermore album and it’s so good!!
Taylors look what you made me do.
The lyrics of this song hit hard with me.
"I think I've seen this film before, and I didn't like the ending. You're not my homeland anymore, so what am I defending?"
Looking forward mor more TS 👋 new sub here!!
When you admit you are walking a very thin line in a relationship, it is probably time to move on.
No one can not cry listening to this song. If it doesn’t affect you, you’re dead inside.
N9 mate, you do what you do the way you do brother...😎👌
If you really want to hear her AMAZING songwriting at its finest you should check out “All too Well” (10 minute version) (Taylor swifts)
Another one that hits close to me as a break up song is called “Tolerate it” it’s more like this, more chill and sad.
Please check those out!
It's a road we've all been down 💔
You should have people go give love to Bon Iver/Justin Vernon too! he is an amazing artist! He co-wrote and produced this song with Taylor.
U should listen to the long pond sound session vrrsion of this
