That unexpected clever short guitar solo during the bridge is one of the move SAKI is known for as Japanese metal guitar goddess. She is very prominent in precision finger tapping, extreme string bends, delicate pinch harmonics, swooping dive bombs, and light-speed scalar runs. Her chugging riffs can be hypnotic but she doesn’t just slam through a bunch of power chords while waiting for her solo. She often employs clever guitar figures behind the verses, such as in REVIVE chorus, LIFE (REVIVE Ver.) verses and RAITEI bridges.
Her ability to negotiate sudden changes between these elements is the same as effortlessly as their drums goddess Murata Tamu does between half time, full time and double time. Much like Tamu's drums fills, in SAKI's solo, you don’t know where she’s going to begin, you don’t know where she’s going to finish, and you have absolutely no idea how many dangerous and harrowing detours she’s going to take to get there. They truly are a perfect match and seeing them together in one band with the rest of equally matched NEMOPHILA's band members is like watching the musical mocked battle of two goddess with their undisputed generals of musicians.

The Mighty Nemophila Best new band of the last 2 years a mix of Pantera ,Moterhead ,punk .and most of the best 80s metal .In fact they can pretty much and do ,any hard rock and metal out there there originals are superb and covers the best around .All members are virtuoso standard and brimming with charisma defiantly going all the way to the top .
Let's just put to one side the fact that they're absolutely beautiful. It's the sheer excellence of the musicianship, combined with their charisma on and off stage. They're genuinely lovely people.
NEMOPHILA is getting more exposure. THUNDER is featured in new Acura Anime Series for their Type S Performance Lineup "Chiaki's Journey"...coincidence? 😁 🌸✨🌠

Japanese metal is the best metal and Nemophila are at the top imo (also check out Lovebites if you haven’t already). Nemophila can play a variety of styles and excel at all of them. Raitei is awesome but is no where near their heaviest. Try Dissension (mv) or Revive next.

They are a “super group” that just formed in late 2019 and early started getting serious together in 2020 during the pandemic. They have just released their first album Revive and the entire album is 🔥🔥🔥. They are new and because of limited touring not as many people know them but that will change in 2022! If you think this is hard I am not sure you’re ready for Dissention or Revive- check out the MV releases of those songs. Checkout Oiran live to hear what they sound like performing and they smash the opening of this song live! Finally you’ll have to check out Demon Light (Hozuki) and Hypnosis. Well, now you've got the trifecta - Lovebites, Nemophila, and Band Maid These are my three favorite bands right now. All of these talented little women from Japan are putting most dudes to shame right now. As far as Nemophila goes, they get heavier than this. Might try "Dissension" or "Revive" next. And for something a little different, try "Hypnosis."
Raitei in english mean Thunder, it ok if you can't say it. This band form in 2019 and all songs from them not too old to listen. They can sing any song, from heavy headbanger to happy song including when they do a cover songs.

I love this song but "Dissension" and "Revive" are even more shocking. 😆
So, you've done Lovebites, you've done Band-Maid and now you've done Nemophila. That leaves one more special all female band to check out. A lot of people talk about the holy trinity, but there's a 4th group that are honestly just as good and don't get enough credit imo. Please check out Hanabie (pronounced Han-a-be-eh) and their song 'We Love Sweets'. Their sound is very different from the others, but they are fantastic.
You have now listened to the triumvirate of Japanese rock/metal bands - Band-Maid, Lovebites and Nemophila. And I don't mean all-female Japanese bands, I mean among all Japanese rock/metal bands that I have heard. I have now listened to many Japanese bands, and these three are at the top of my list. There are other really good bands in Japan, especially the Wagakki Band, but there is just something about these three. For me it is not the fact that they are all-female bands because I can think of only two other all-female bands in the world that impress me as much as these three (The Warning and Nervosa). It comes down to the music, musicianship and on stage charisma. Also, all three of these bands are heavily influenced by classic rock/metal of the 70s and 80s and it shows in their music.
React to, or just watch, some of the covers that are on Nemophila's CZcams channel. My favorite is their cover of Iron Maiden's Aces High, but they have done man, many others. Mayu, the lead singer, has one of the best pure female rock voices in the world. If you want to hear mayu in full scream mode, watch their live performances of Dissension (I like it better than the mv) and Oiran at the 2021 Naon no Yaon festival. These two videos are also on their CZcams channel.
RAITEI is still my #1 favorite from Nemophila. Maybe will go more heavy, the hardcore side of metal. Please check out Hanabie - We love sweets 🧁🤘🎌
Raitei - "rye-tie" - she yells it out. In English, thunder (and implied lightning).
The way you pronounce Nemophila is correct by about half of supposed authoritative sources. The other half has it as "Nem-AH-fil-ah" and that is how the group has said it on a video before.
Neither is wrong, but they do use the other one.
Nemophila is a genus of flowers with five petals (five group members), native to North America (Like Rock and Roll) but popular in Japan (like Rock). Most of the species has some version of the name "Baby Blue Eyes." Hitachi Seaside Park in Japan turns its hills and valleys blue every year with these flowers.
Originally they got together in 2019 as a support project for Mayu to show what she could do with stronger music than the milder stuff of her previous group Lipstick. Basically a backing group for a demo set. But they worked so well together and enjoyed it so much that they kept going and dropping videos on CZcams and other people loved it too.
Saki is the best known metal guitar star here. But don't overlook the skills of Hazuki, also guitarist for Li-sa-X Band, and bassist Haraguchi. Everyone here has awesome talent and skills, and that is why they work so well.
It's "rye-tay" (with a Japanese R if you like), it's just when she yells it's like AHHH! Like if someone shouts "thunder" it probably comes out like THUN-DAH!

The band pronounces Nemophila like it is Romaji (Japanese written with Roman letters).
Neh moh fee lah. Syllables always end on the vowel or sometimes 'n'.

I love nemophila. I first saw them during the beginning of the pandemic, when they were doing covers to kill time and learn each other. They finally signed with a label, following their journey while they try to find their sound.
Nemophila are incredible. Nemophila, Lovebites, and Band Maid my favorite bands. These women in these bands have grown up listening to classic rock, metal. So they all have influences from great music.

The guitarists are excellent, total metal! as well as a Band of young talented ladies that are as if the influential offspring of the older great Thrash Bands & newer Screaming Metal bands. And might I personally add that, as a musician of many years, seeing gorgeous girls with extreme musical talent puts me in a zone & state that musically & visually is better than porn! kind of lol 😜 (have I said too much?) sorry they made me 🙄
