Slow and heavy you say. Try HYPNOSIS next. No guitar solo's though, it's a HARA-chan special that puts the rhythm section front and center. 🌸✨🌠
No guitar solos in Hypnosis, but a bit of a drum solo which is quite unique. I saw in an interview Hara-chan wanted a big drum section and Tamu played two versions, a straight version and a version with the drum solo and the producers were saying 'no you can't do that that drum stuff there!" but Tamu wanted it and they kept it. In the interview the others were surprised cos they weren't aware that Tamu had to fight to keep that bit in the final recording!
@@alanikelso2710 Yeah, saw that interview. Agree, surprised TAMU had to fight to keep it at all. Clearly makes this song EPIC. Could this explain why TAMU went completely ballistic on her solo part when they first debuted HYPNOSIS on their 2nd Anniversary live stream event? Maybe just to prove a point LOL. That was the best rendition of this song I've heard yet, to include the 9 Jan Shibuya Public Hall concert live stream rendition. Was hoping the studio release would have been harder like the debut version.
She has become my favourite singer lately. I'm not much of a screamo fan, but only because they try to get that guttural lower voice. She, however, screams like a GIRL!!! This I am o.k. with somehow. But she has a sweet regular voice too and the rest of the band is spectacular. The camera sure loves them.
Mayu is definitely the most talented singer around right now. Her ability to go from harsh to kawaii is crazy. Her kawaii styling puts 90% of idols to shame as well.
Mayu's fry screams are 100% epic. One of my very favorite singers, too...in part because her smoky "clean" voice also works so well. Plus the charisma factor is off the charts.
Same here, never have been a fan of scream/growl, but MAYU's melodic whistle-tone fry is music to my ears. Her vocals are the best there is.
Oiran CZcams version is live from their actual jam room with only bare bones post production, so it has a very intimate vibe. Oiran from Naon Yaon 2021 is also live but on a large festival sized stage. I’d suggest doing a 2-fer to display the differences as the solos changed and grew from the jam room days to the Naon Yaon.💪🏻🤘🏻

Angry? I know you can’t tell from this video but this bassist and drummer are the happiest rhythm section in metal.
Dissension - this song is a warning to the establishment and media that we can see through their lies and b@llSh1t. It asks the listener if they're really enjoying the "regime" they are trapped in and encourages them to fight against it - "Countdown is starting, are you ready?". The lyrics were attributed to "She Knows" and no one is really speculating as to who that might be because that is obviously the way "She Knows" wants it - presumably so she can sow a bit more dissension - and good for her. I totally love Nemophila and knowing they aren't just pretty faces and bubble gum like so many manufactured bands makes me love them more. Nemophila are the real deal. Their album Revive was one of the best things that happened in 2021.
Another band that are very much the real deal and speak counter to popular culture are Hanabie. In some ways similar to Nemophila, and others completely not, they are at least as good quality and SO much fun. Check out "We Love Sweets" which is pretty much their calling card. Their album "Girl's Reform Manifest" was the other best thing that happened in 2021.
They just released a new cover of Journey today that is fire!

Great reaction to Dissension. That was the second video that I saw of them after stumbling across their cover of Iron Maiden's Aces High. You should check out the Aces High cover. As at least one commenter as said, I prefer the live version of Dissension. Her screams on the music video, to me, are overproduced. The music video for Revive did a better job on her vocals. There is also a short behind the scenes video about the making of the Dissension music video which is entertaining. Enjoy!

@@DragonPhlyy I checked on my iphone, this and the original are 180 bpm. (I actually got around 182, but that's gonna be me) I used BPM counter.

@@DragonPhlyy slight BPM might happen during encode/decode process on your end because it sounds good on my end. Maybe try restart your device because few days ago I had video/audio sync issue with CZcams while watching Tamu drums cam which is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! 😂. Kill signal didn't fix the issue, restart did.
