This is the review that everyone has been waiting for on this Amp - best one out there. Fantastic stuff! Thank you!!
Thanks Ben, much appreciated!
Fantastic demo. This is on my wish list.
Wonderful demo. Thanks for sharing. Sounds Mega! Subscribed!
Thanks so much! Appreciate it.
Thanks, Impressive
very good videos! subscribed :)
Thanks! Much appreciated!
great review!!!!!!!!! you have a subscriber here!!!!!!
Cheers Rafael, much appreciated!
Sounds great. I love the ampsim equivalent, which is the LexTac.
Cheers mate. Yeah, the LePou stuff is quite good but there’s just something about the response of the real amp... 🔥
Amazing playing and great demo, as always. Do you happen to know if this amp has a serial or parallel loop, or switchable? I'm planning to use it with the 4 cable method, and a serial would be ideal. Thanks in advance!
Thanks so much! It’s a serial loop, so you’re good. #checkonetwo
Hello, thank you for nice demo. Please, which cab do you use in the Universal Audio OX ?
It’s the V30 Loaded 4x12. Glad you liked the Video!
Where did you have the master volumes set for each channel? Thanks - sounds great!
Thanks man. At around 6. But the amp sound great at any level. Cheers #checkonetwo
Great review. How does it compare to the Friedman JJ Jr? From videos, the Bogner 3534 tone sounds better than the Friedman JJ Jr and the Marshall studio amps.
Thanks mate. I don’t know, I’ve never played a JJ Jr or any Friedman for that matter... 😅
Looking at vids of this amp....then I heard my name is Ian.......Subscribing hahaha What can I say....it's a good name hahaha Cool video too!!!
what is the point of keeping the background track during the demo?
YO I just bought this and it was to be my dream amp purchase. I love it, I really do...however do you find it to be not as loud as other 35 watters? I had a Mk V 35 and that thing was powerful in terms of the perceived loudness. Or am I just still in the overly critical mode (have only had for a day)
Hm, not sure I would confirm... I find it to be quite loud, but have not made a „volume shoot out“ with my JTM45 for example - so not sure how it would compare in an A/B. Is your FX loop engaged? If so please mind the return being a master, even when nothing is plugged ... #checkonetwo
Congrats on your new amp btw 👏🏻
CheckOneTwo Riffs & Gear thanks a lot! Your review makes me think why I should even do one myself lol. I am going to for sure keep it as my wife said I was giving the neighborhood a concert when she was out watering lol. The clean channel is really what I was referring to but after playing more it seems like it will do just the trick.
CheckOneTwo Riffs & Gear that is a really good point! I found that when the loop is engaged and turned up the whole way it is loud than when it is not engaged which seemed weird. Wonder why.
@@gandhischlote260 that’s why it’s labeled “M.V.” Meaning, master volume. If you add a pot between pre and power amps you end up lowering the overall output while keeping the gain higher. A lot of people prefer this because it almost acts like a poor mans attenuator. Just turn it all the way up if you want the full volume output of the amp.
No love for green/clean channel? Any chance you can do a demo of this as well? Most appreciated.
Hi Guitar Guru, Green Channel will be coming soon. Be sure to subscribe so you don’t muss it. #checkonetwo
Hi Guitar Guru. Here it is, I hope you enjoy it: czcams.com/video/54lTRP0yVr4/video.html
@@CheckOneTwoRiffsGear most appreciated!
my buddy checked one of these out yesterday and said he couldn't get it to sound good unless it was really cranked up. How are you finding it at lower volumes?
Sounds good to my ears even at lower volumes (for bedroom level I use an Attenuator though... ) Also once the FX Loop is activated (even with nothing plugged into it) the return has a volume knob which acts as master volume when engaged...
So crank it up!!
That would be a user error.
What pickups in that Goldtop?
Thanks for your comment. It’s a bareknuckle old guard humbucker in the bridge and Seymour Duncan alnico II pro in the neck. #checkonetwo
In you're opinion, do you think that it is loud enough to keep up with a drummer??
100%. Everything above 30 Watts is more than enough to compete with any drummer, in my opinion.
@@CheckOneTwoRiffsGear I appreciate the quick reply as this is an amp I've been seriously thinking about. I really wish they would make a similar thing to this in an Uberschall variant!!
You’re welcome dude! Yeah, mini Überschall FTW 🔥
I’m confused - you’ve twice said it is 45 Watts, while almost every other site says it is 35 Watts. Which is it?
Yeah most websites say that, but the the manual says: “Power output: 45W RMS @5% THD, 1 KHz sine at 16 Ohm Load”
I’m 99.9% sure it IS 35 watts. Basing that on a friend who owns one. Plus, everywhere I’ve seen it is advertised as 35W… 🤷♂️
5:33 - line out power-amp signal ? Isn't it preamp signal.
Damn this things sounds massive, I feel sorry for my mesa right now.
It’s a beast of an amp... but a Mesa is too, just different tonal structure. What Mesa do you play?
@@CheckOneTwoRiffsGear I have a rectoverb 25, its still pretty damn good, but im more of a british and german amp guy, though I bought it because i got a huge deal on it otherwise i would have gone for an atma.
You mentioned this is a 45 watt amp / I thought the name 3534 meant 35 watts with el34 tubes?
Thanks for your comment. The manual says 45 Watts RMS.
Would you say this is loud enough to play in a rock band?
would you say this amp sounds better than marshall silver jubilee ?
Hi Matthew, thanks for your comment. It’s a bit hard for me to say. I currently don’t own an silver jubilee, but I own the slash signature which is close. I love both amps, and both have their place. The Bogner is a lot more versatile and offers many different textures and tones that are awesome across the board. The jubilee (or the JCM Slash) has 1 (or 2 if we could the push/pull) texture and that is awesome as well... sooooo really hard to say “better” in this context...
I’ve owned an XTC and also own a jubilee and the jubilee is much more of a raw, uncompressed unit. It’s rough around the edges but the lack of polish gives it an overall more “pure” rock feel and voice. The XTC has a more smooth and refined voice and sonic attack that you can’t dial out in the same way you can’t really make the jubilee have a smooth creamy lead voice like the XTC.
The jubilee has a gain clipping mode you can engage on the “clean/rhythm” channel giving you a crunch and lead switchable option if you don’t need cleans.
The XTC, even this one has SO much more sound options with the switches but it’s easy to get caught up always fiddling with the switches instead of just playing.
The XTC has significantly more gain but with a good boost, the Jubilee can be a thrash metal beast.
If you search my channel you can find videos of both amps.
IMO if you’re considering a 2 channel Marshall but want a bit more refined sound and more gain, look at the Friedman Runt 20 or 50 depending on if you’re going to be gigging or not. 20 is perfect for home playing.
Do you find the effects loop noisy? I have a hum thats very annoying when when running the effects loop volume at noon.
Nope, it’s not very noisy on my one. What do have plugged in the loop?
@@CheckOneTwoRiffsGear I just had a polara reverb in the loop. When the loop is off, its quiet. I use mogami cables for the speaker and guitar cable. Just turning the loop on, you get the noise, with nothing even plugged into it.
Spooky soo-zuh sounds like something is not right there. Mine does not make any noise at all, dead quiet. Maybe check with Bogner directly. Hope you’ll get this sorted out soon. #CheckOneTwo
What about the Green channel?
Will do the green channel soon.
Hi Dan, took a while, but here's my video for the green channel. I hope you'll enjoy this! Best, Ian czcams.com/video/54lTRP0yVr4/video.html
.......Yea, but Jimmy Page knows the rest of riff!!!
Green channel?

Hope you'll like it!
XTC 20th anniversary is the best one, this one sounds so muffled.
I think amp is 35Watt.
Yeah most websites say that, but the the manual says: “Power output: 45W RMS @5% THD, 1 KHz sine at 16 Ohm Load”
@@CheckOneTwoRiffsGear I did't know that, I looked up on Sweetwater page earlier because I'm looking to get one too. Anyway I like what I hear from your video. Enjoy your new amp, cheers.
Get one, it’s a great amp!!!
45 watts? Those are 35
Isn't it 35 watts and 30 lbs not kgs? 😒😒
FFS play some nice lead so we can hear it sing, stop playing bloody riffs all the time.............
