    YO I just bought this and it was to be my dream amp purchase. I love it, I really do...however do you find it to be not as loud as other 35 watters? I had a Mk V 35 and that thing was powerful in terms of the perceived loudness. Or am I just still in the overly critical mode (have only had for a day)

    • @CheckOneTwoRiffsGear
      @CheckOneTwoRiffsGear  Před 4 lety +4

      Hm, not sure I would confirm... I find it to be quite loud, but have not made a „volume shoot out“ with my JTM45 for example - so not sure how it would compare in an A/B. Is your FX loop engaged? If so please mind the return being a master, even when nothing is plugged ... #checkonetwo

      CheckOneTwo Riffs & Gear thanks a lot! Your review makes me think why I should even do one myself lol. I am going to for sure keep it as my wife said I was giving the neighborhood a concert when she was out watering lol. The clean channel is really what I was referring to but after playing more it seems like it will do just the trick.

    • @gandhischlote260
      @gandhischlote260 Před 4 lety +1

      CheckOneTwo Riffs & Gear that is a really good point! I found that when the loop is engaged and turned up the whole way it is loud than when it is not engaged which seemed weird. Wonder why.

    • @cardbored_
      @cardbored_ Před 2 lety +3

      @@gandhischlote260 that’s why it’s labeled “M.V.” Meaning, master volume. If you add a pot between pre and power amps you end up lowering the overall output while keeping the gain higher. A lot of people prefer this because it almost acts like a poor mans attenuator. Just turn it all the way up if you want the full volume output of the amp.

    • @CheckOneTwoRiffsGear
      @CheckOneTwoRiffsGear  Před 4 lety +2

      Sounds good to my ears even at lower volumes (for bedroom level I use an Attenuator though... ) Also once the FX Loop is activated (even with nothing plugged into it) the return has a volume knob which acts as master volume when engaged...

    • @CheckOneTwoRiffsGear
      @CheckOneTwoRiffsGear  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Matthew, thanks for your comment. It’s a bit hard for me to say. I currently don’t own an silver jubilee, but I own the slash signature which is close. I love both amps, and both have their place. The Bogner is a lot more versatile and offers many different textures and tones that are awesome across the board. The jubilee (or the JCM Slash) has 1 (or 2 if we could the push/pull) texture and that is awesome as well... sooooo really hard to say “better” in this context...

    • @FastRedPonyCar
      @FastRedPonyCar Před rokem

      I’ve owned an XTC and also own a jubilee and the jubilee is much more of a raw, uncompressed unit. It’s rough around the edges but the lack of polish gives it an overall more “pure” rock feel and voice. The XTC has a more smooth and refined voice and sonic attack that you can’t dial out in the same way you can’t really make the jubilee have a smooth creamy lead voice like the XTC.
      The jubilee has a gain clipping mode you can engage on the “clean/rhythm” channel giving you a crunch and lead switchable option if you don’t need cleans.
      The XTC, even this one has SO much more sound options with the switches but it’s easy to get caught up always fiddling with the switches instead of just playing.
      The XTC has significantly more gain but with a good boost, the Jubilee can be a thrash metal beast.
      If you search my channel you can find videos of both amps.
      IMO if you’re considering a 2 channel Marshall but want a bit more refined sound and more gain, look at the Friedman Runt 20 or 50 depending on if you’re going to be gigging or not. 20 is perfect for home playing.
