As someone with a Class A, I tell people not to sleep on Class B gigs. I know dudes making $100k+ delivering water and in sanitation/garbage trucks. Hell, in California school bus drivers are starting at $30hr.
And as you gain experience look into becoming a fleet manager. There’s still money to be made in the CDL field.

@@SalsHQ the minimum wage in Ca is $16. $30hr is a decent living wage if you’re single with no kids. I’d say it’s a great starting wage for someone without a degree. Now one should never be complacent and always strive for more.

I haven't got into trucking as of yet, but I did plenty of research and beside the industry. I see you kept it real 100% and everything you said in this clip I can agree with because I'm about to head into the field and put in that work. It's really all about not limiting yourself, driving is one thing, but thinking beyond driving and gaining knowledge on the way and finding other paths and avenue is the way to go.
The thing I love about having CDLs is that you can live anywhere in the world and drive a truck. I’m planning on moving to GA.

@@al-mubdizahir8704 I’ve done trucking in Canada as well. That’s why I put anywhere in the world. Most people think we only drive trucks in the states. So much money out here for us. Glad we are all taking advantage of a lucrative industry 🙏🏽
Pepsi starts at $24 hr with time 1/2 overtime. Impossible to make $1000 weekly. You will make at least $1400. Any beverage delivery company does not require any experience, home every night, and great starting pay.

I currently work for budwiser and worked for coke, it's not worth it. Your doing a 4 person job. Beverage delivery is hell!!!

I just bought myself a truck at the end of 2023… worst decision ever. Wish I could go back in time. If your thinking of getting into the industry don’t even try it… look into something else

The people who are only pbtaining a CDL to own a truck should take a step back for acouple years and learn the industry too many rookies trying to lease purchase and loosing their ass and wondering where they went wrong

The only way to win is to rent your semi not lease and have a base where yiu can do maintenance and you have a tank od disel at base and you can buy diesel wholesale that's the only way.

Question? My little brother had his CDL class B license for 5 years and when he moved to Ocala Florida two years ago he got his CDL class A with all his endorsement. He applied too many companies small and big but they haven't hired him.
How much experience does he have with a class A?
