    Though I bought both, the RPM's seem a bit off with the RSS version and the mirrors are blurry. I prefer the VRC car more. The physic's seem more realistic in the way you could lose rear end grip as the real cars do but is very correctable.

    You know it's funny. When I drive the RSS car I feel like it's easier to drive and quicker. But when I drive both absolutely at the limit, my lap times are almost identical. You have to perhaps work a little harder with the VRC, but when you do, you are really rewarded with an incredible driving experience. The is some criticism for the RSS wheel, but I actually like it better, preferring the lighted DRS button vs the dot in the VRC car. Regardless, they are both incredible cars and for the cost, there is no reason for not owning both. Surely, an embarrassment of F1 riches.

    Definitely will stick with the VRC, but I just hope that liveries continue to be made for it.
    Personally I've already bought the RSS X 2021 when it was first released and since then RSS has basically made 3 versions of the same car (X 2021, 2022 Evo, 2022)
    While I get it was probably necessary, that many completely different versions has somewhat left a bit of a bad taste for me (Plus its a little annoying now finding a nice livery of a 2022 RSS car only to find out straight away that it was for an older/newer RSS 2022 car)
    Im usually RSS all the way for the most part (love their 2020, 2021 and 1999 cars), but Im not really drawn in by the new 2022 car.

      I get what your saying but two things, the FHX Evo was free if you already had the old one. Second of all the FHX and still the Evo is based on the 2019 version of the 2022 regs, sense even the Evo so much has changed that the car is very far off actual 2022 cars. nice take and thanks for the shoutout! small correction, VRC's car has the honda sound from factory haha. have you tried the MSF hybrid 2022? also personally imo, i really like the detail VRC put into their car, the different aero parts, the front wing flex, fast drs flap, camber and toe changes visible, so many aero configs etc. but then i really like the RSS monocoque and halo design because it's more inline and proportional with the real cars. the MSF looks identical to the ferrari from this year and is the most 'on rails' of the three. imo if you can spare the cash, buy all 3 and make yourself a nice visually and audibly varied grid! (then spend the next 2 days tweaking the ai one by one to make the grid in the right competitive order lolz). Also i will be updating the sound pack with the RSS sound files but they will be the same as the ones for the VRC because i'm full steam ahead on flight sim atm.

  • @SRNoobR
    @SRNoobR Před 2 lety +15

    I bought both, and I might play with VRC more than with the RSS, at least for now while RSS has yet to release a V2 update.
    There seem to be a few inconsistencies with the RSS model as you're not able to properly tweak the car's aero and physics specifically to your liking (especially for players like me who really prefer front-heavy and back-heavy cars over a neutral load), the RSS 2022 S model also has noticeably lighter force feedback than the regular model. And the steering wheel lights that turn on when you enable DRS feel a bit unrealistic as well.
    With that said though, I prefer RSS' sounds a LOT over the VRC and the general body of the car of the RSS is more to my liking than the VRC's (not a fan of the pancake look VRC used similar to Alfa Romeo's sidepods). Plus of course the steering wheel as I personally don't like the look of Alpine's steering wheel.

    Here’s my hot take: Overall experience goes to the RSS. I found the physics to be much more consistent throughout a lap and the car is much more rewarding to drive. However, the VRC’s dynamics at speed are incredible. The porpoising is solid but where it really shines is high speed corners. The FFB dynamics around a fast turn are absolutely crazy. For that split second around a fast turn, it’s felt more real than any car I’ve driven in the game (but only for that split second). Otherwise, the VRC somehow felt “too smooth” at low speeds. The RSS i always thought could have a little more weight and grain at low speeds and somehow the VRC is even lighter, smoother, and less grainy. The VRC slid across the track like a butter knife. The RSS slid across the track like a regular knife lol. So not quite a steak knife but definitely not a butter knife 😂 The learning curve is clearly harder for the VRC. I was able to get it quickly since I’ve driven an absurd amount of miles in the RSS. Given that, the RSS to me is definitely the more exotic experience. The RSS also wins in the sounds department, it’s so immersive and mechanical. I will also give props to the quality of the VRC as it is very pretty and looks more “full” than the RSS at times. Again, overall to the RSS! More rewarding!! (I do wish it had porpoising!)

      I use tyre apps mod that give more detail and color about the tires temp (left-center-right asphalt contact temp, outside temp(if the car have), inside temp), you can heat up the vrc rear tires with a lot of burnout. Cuz u need to heat up the outer layer of tires to heat the inner layer.

    • @Maartwo
      @Maartwo Před 2 lety

      @@sadc6t62 yep I already use the recommended app by VRC since a long time ago and even if you burn out they'll quickly go back to cold temps, nevermind the fact that the wear will be huge.

    VRC hands down, I mean, both of them are very good but rss porposing is almost like a bugs bunny animation, seems like added at the last moment and not very well tunned. And visually the VRC looks more on point, rss looks a little bit off the regulations, specially on the rear zone. But thats my personal opinion.

    • @F-Man
      @F-Man Před 2 lety +2

      The exact opposite is actually true. The VRC car does not comply with the technical regulations - the RSS car is 100% legal per the 2022 technical regs, verified by third party measurement.

      the 2017 and 2018 RSS F1 cars are free.
      If you can find them, theres also VRC's 2005 F1 cars (Renault R25 and Mclaren), and 2007 F1 cars (Ferrari F2007 and Mclaren), I'd avoid the 2005 and 2007 versions of the car with the fake name version (Mclenna and Ferrenzo for example), as their most recent updates have updated the mesh and UV's, meaning a lot of skins wont work on them.
      Theres also the 2015 Williams F1 car, with full grid skins on racedepartment
      Same with a 2009 Williams F1 car, that comes with full grid skins by default (no skin packs needed)
      VRC also has the 1997 Ferrari and Williams F1 cars, despite being renamed to Ferrenzo and Willians, I dont think they updated the uv's, should be compatible with skin packs
      Only issue with the 1997 cars is the car audio is pretty broken, but for me personally I just swapped it out for the Ferrari F2004's, not 100% accurate to how they sounded back then but the audio worked fine.

      You can just take turn 12 at spa with full throttle on the inside if you got the highest downforce setup.
