@@arielsteinsaltz1956 Because, they may have laid the foundation, the show (books aren't out yet) didn't fill in the mortar, put in the framing, insulation, HVAC, electrical, drywall, paint, etc. They didn't follow the most important writing advice, "Show, don't tell". I don't think anyone was mad with the events that occurred in the final season, just that it was bare bones with no flesh and skin. Rushed it because D&D were offered star wars.
@@stevenmontoya7275 Yeah but Emilia Clarke said she was surprised with Dany’s fate, not just disappointed it was rushed. I just don’t see how anyone could read the books and not see it coming, I’ve only read 2/3 of the first book and there are already clear signs pointing to what Dany will do.

Olivia Cooke is the more credentialed actress, but I feel like the same thing happened with the first show. They got sean bean and mark addy to lure people in, but the best actors on the show were the ones no one had heard of before.
I think that's mostly true thanks to amazing writing by GRRM and good costume and scenery for the characters to be a part of. Makes it more about the actual character instead of the acting.

However, from a young Rhaenyra POV to an older Rhaenyra's maturity towards love, family, politics and playing the game will be interesting to watch. Even in the clips older Rhaenyra points out truths at the counsel meetings, where she was not able to speak when she was young. Pouring wine during these meetings seemed to have taught her politics.
Milly is also Emilia Clarke's nickname.

Out of the first two actresses that played Riy and Ali. Milly was the much more charismatic and compelling to watch IMO. Now these two have taken over it’s swapped. Though they’re both very good in the part…Alicent played by Olivia seems the more compelling of the two, despite being the villain now apparently. Just more expressive and emotional. She seems to have more range than Emma.
