Jennifer Coolidge being on drama roundtable is kind of iconic
White lotus is being called drama that's why even though the funniest parts were improved by Jennifer
And well deserved! 👏
I adore her
watching her is an absolute joy.
😅❤😂😅😂😂😮
Love when Jennifer Garner let Emma know that she is available for a call when publicity is too much
Can you give me timline when she said that?
@@blindspotj 32:39 :)
@@kshamwhizzle6544 Jen is that way at work. The ALIAS crew told many stories of how she always looked out for them, even when she was in trouble herself.
i think she knows it all too well especially when it came to her ex husband his wife now :/ I think she seemed poised but also concerned and attentive with the younger women
Jennifer G is so maternal and sweet. Loved this part of their conversation too. ❤️
What i really appreciate about these conversations, is that the actors have obviously made time to watch the work of their fellow actors, even if they have not finished the series.
Bill are 😊
this is the best roundtable they’ve done for a while. the actresses just took control and started talking to one anither about whatever they wanted and it was all so interesting and profound. just love it
I totally agree. This was a real pleasure to witness.
They are all such generous actresses and not a prima Donna in the bunch! I hate when one person takes it over and they make sure the attention is on them.
Absolutely❤
+1 This may have been my favourite ever Drama Actress Roundtable. A fabulous hour in the company of surprisingly candid and generous (to one another) women. Just brilliant!
Agreed. And I'm sort of having a flashback to a shorter upload THR did back in the early days of these roundtables - for TV comedy actresses, & they just took over those 4minutes. "Dude, I read for that role, too."
It's still up: "Sarah Silverman, Amy Poehler and Christina Applegate on Aging - THR's Drama Actress Roundtable"

Emma D'Arcy is an introvert in a room full of extroverts😂😂😂
Dominique Fishback is so wise beyond her years and so impressive. She's already great at what she does, and I can't wait to see more of her work.
FUTURE OSCAR NOMINEE FOR SURE 🏆🏆
I haven't seen any of her work before but this has me wanting to go watch some and keep an eye out for her in the future because she sounds like an artist that will have an impact one way or another down the line
I didn't know until here and I'm loving her energy. She's impressive.
She also did an interview where she mentioned she learned sign language in college because she could relate to being in an environment where no one is forced to understand you or to help you navigate in the world because they don't have to. She worked at the movie theater and a deaf customer came in and bought popcorn. Dominique didn't know she was deaf and spoke to her asking if she wanted butter on her popcorn, and the lady said she didn't understand because she's deaf, so Dominique signed to her and the woman was in shock that she communicated in ASL to her. Dominique is a special woman.
Yesssss in Judas and the Black Messiah when the FBI went into Fred’s room and shot him twice and the camera was on her face and she just showed such strength and also pain. It was beautiful..
Anyone else want to give Melanie a hug? She's like the sweetest person so I don't understand how anyone could troll her!
She's so soft spoken too! This is my first interview watching her ... And I'm already getting ready to go look for more.
@@nikitagorawara I thought I'd put a link on here to the Variety Actors on Actors with her and Natasha Lyonne, but it obviously didn't work. 🙄
@@booberfraggle3839 but thanks for mentioning it... i'll look it up! 😁
Oh she is too lovely, what is wrong with those ppl, what could you possibly be offended by, she's seriously phenomenal ❤
@@Megan66666 It's like trolling Winnie-the-Pooh: just why on Earth would you?
Melanie Lynskey is just one of my favorite people, I love seeing her in projects!
yeeees.
same. love seeing her projects, love this time in her career and love seeing her in interviews. it's a melanaissance!!
*She's also always breathtaking in her roles. A great artist.*
Sameeeee
You can FEEL the empathy oozing out of Jennifer Garner. She seems like a wonderful woman.
She’s an outstanding human being
I loved hearing her say how beautiful being famous is for her. That it's not just gloom which is often the narrative you hear. She seems so gracious and available. It's lovely
I love how Emma D'Arcy's brain works. So insightful. If they ever wrote a book, I will definitely read it.
The joy I feel seeing Jennifer Coolidge hold court. She is a STAR among stars, honey.
The Emma D'Arcy/Jennifer Garner conversation around 33:00 is lovely. Great to see a vet like Garner impart her thoughts to a relative newcomer.
Emma D'Arcy is such a great inspiration and figure for us nonbinary people.
i would love to know what is so inspiring about emma being nonbinary. does emma speak on this or something? just a very odd thing to say I suppose because we can't see gender.
@@lilleopard6537this is so true. not a lot of representation for androgynous. androgongy is some we can see so it makes sense to need representation.
🙄
She looks like a big fan of her own show in that outfit.
@@JenJHayden they literally did in this video
Claire Danes always plays so intense characters and she seems so chill and nice. Its surprising
I fell in love with her since Stardust 😍
She really wants to do comedy though
Acting! Look for it outside of Hollywood where you only have to be 'rapeable' and symetrical.
I would not say she seems chill, but she does seem sweet and kind. Much like me, she comes off a bit anxious with more thoughts than she can find words for-very relatable.
Jennifer Garner is by far the most famous woman at this table and was incredibly gracious and generous in turning almost all questions to her onto the other actresses to lift them up. Love her.
ESP on the paparazzi talk. It’s like her ex husband situation. She was DRAGGGGGED through the press
Are you mad? Clair Danes, Jennifer Coolidge and Melanie Lynsky are MEGA famous as well as insanely more talented than Garner.
@@jga8170 not on the same stratus as Jennifer Garner in fame. She is the only lady at that table who has successfully been a lead in a number of hit movies on her own back as the sole billable star. She also was under intense media glare with her marriage to Ben Affleck as well as was the lead in a wildly popular now cult status abc drama for six years. You may not like Jennifer Garner as an actress, but to try and equate the highly talented actresses at this table to her level of fame is just inaccurate. While Jennifer Coolidge and Clare Danes are very popular and well known actresses, they do not have the media attention, salary power, or roles offered to them that Garner had.
@@Franciehatescoffeeicecream you are absolutely delusional if you think that Garner, 13 going on 30, is anyone near in talent as Claire Danes who was won Emmys, SAG awards and Golden globes for her performances. Keep dreaming.
Please do continue to ignore what I said. I do actually rate her highly as an actress but once again I did not mention her talent here. Fame and talent are not always equitable. Enjoy your day
Swarm is a masterpiece & Dominique is a FORCE😤🤌🏾🔥
She really is amazing.
still not over it, i think about it every so often, SHE made that show
The level of uplifting between these women was amazing. And she is so humble as well.👏🏼👏🏼
melanie lynskey being genuinely so interested and engaged the entire time is everything
dominique fishback dropped so many gems! from appreciating what you can do in the moment before you can't anymore to making decisions based on her inner child, i'm so glad that they acknowledged & appreciated the wisdom she brought to the table.
Emma D'Arcy is so talented and has an amazing personality.
Emma's look fits well with House of the Dragon Team Black aesthetic. 🔥
Yesss 🖤🖤🖤
I’m so happy Jennifer Coolidge is finally getting the attention she deserves after all these years. She has always stood out to me in everything she’s been in.
emma mentioned that they don't exist well and was often bullied and i immediately burst out into tears relating to that statement
melanie telling jennifer she is perfects the way she is after jennifer talked about losing weight melted my heart
Oh gosh, I loved everything about this interview. From Emma's relatability every time they spoke, Garner's kindness and sweetness, Dominique's disarming yet beautiful wisdom, Claire's openness and vulnerability, Coolidge's wittiness and unmatched humor to the way Melanie could relate to each of them and engage them while answering the questions --- It was nothing less than perfection. Bravo!
I love Emma D'arcy so much! I'm glad that they are getting more recognition and expressing their true self!
Their true self * lol
@@jonathanlorio3265 English is not my native language, i'm still learning :)
Wish Sarah Snook could’ve made it
@@davidlaman4175she’s been acting since 2009-2010 🙄
@@davidlaman4175 2013? Hahah funny. Very funny of you. And 2021? Have you watched Succession? Likely go be nominated for Emmy? I suggest you watch Succession.
@@davidlaman4175 Only the second reason is true, I don't think having particularly long careers or previous success is a requirement, I've seen a lot of young actors in these roundtables before. Being in the current conversation for awards is enough to get invited.
When Claire Danes ran off with Billy cruddup when his wife was 8 months pregnant - I just can’t see her the same
@@davidlaman4175 If the conversation is only with experienced actors it would be a very boring conversation. I understand the Emmy portion of your comment but there should be a range of experience from new to decades in the business. My favorite roundtable was the actor's roundtable from a few months ago and the best piece of advice from the roundtable was from Jeremy Pope who is relatively new to the business
Dominique was not just great at her role, she was INCREDIBLE. Honestly, one of the best series I've ever watched.
So happy to see Emma getting REPRESENTATION that they deserve ❤
So proud and happy for them 😭😭
Can't wait for Season 2 🔥🔥
Melanie is so underrated. I know when I see her in a show, it's going to be awesome. I trust her as an actress to sell any role.
Emma D'Arcy walk after childbirth in House of Dragram blew me away. Those close up scenes are mind blowing.
wonder when they’ll release roundtables at a fuller length discussion. This is probably one of the best conducted in a long time, its been cool to watch Lacey become the moderator for these. Her interview method allows a freer discussion to posit a group question that opens the room for natural dialog. All this being said why did they so suddenly cut off at the end? Give us the directors cut lmao
😊I love how everyone naturally gravitates towards Jennifer Coolidge. She truly is the moment.
Is the way she tell stories 😂
seeing melanie and claire complimenting dominique's work in Swarm just made my entire day
Emma D'Arcy is the coolest person in hollywood
I love Emma D'arcy so much. They seem so grounded and real. I understood immediately when they talked about loss of anonymity when you are someone who loves to be amongst people and to people watch. It's a great source for actors. I hope Emma can navigate a space between being in those worlds because they are the most exciting actor I have seen for a long time. I love their quiet stillness, it's very powerful. I am always going to be interested in their work.
9:28 the Jennifer Coolidge part- seriously this woman is unintentionally hilarious. she just tells her heart unhinged, so authentic. I am addicted to her storytelling.
I'm excited to see where Dominique Fishback's career will take her. She's been trained well and to have a therapist on set is a genius idea. The same with Emma D'Arcy. I know there are more projects heading their way.
This has been my favorite Roundtable in a while. These women were so thoughtful and vulnerable. :) I loved EVERYONE. (Especially Dominique FishBack)
Melanie Lysnkey one of the greatest actors of her generation, incredible since Heavenly Creatures ❤️
Oh, of course--I've been trying to figure out where I first saw her. What a fantastic film that was.
I loved Melanie in Ever After with Drew Barrymore. It was a small part but she stood out. "I'm just here for the food."
I came here for the Jennifers - Garner and Coolidge! And was pleasantly surprised by the conversation with all these brilliant, smart, talented, and lovely women. Excellent roundtable and Lacy Rose always does a fabulous hosting job.
Emma D'arcy is literally such a precious jewel, love them to pieces!
I haven’t even watched yet but I am SOOO HAPPY Dominique is finally getting her shine! She is phenomenal!
The actress roundtables are just always so incredible now. I laugh, I cry, I learn. It's like watching a great movie.
One of the absolute best round table discussions I’ve seen in a while! I love how maternal Jen Garner & Claire were, love how vulnerable & Candid Emma & Melanie are, & fully agree that Dominique has an astounding confidence & wisdom. Amazing discussion! Well done!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Yes! Melanie finally gets recognition! She's very talented. Love her!
we're in the melanaissance era.
This is the first round table I've ever watched where I found NO ONE annoying. There's usually always one, but this was a lovely table of humans.
Dominique is so humble, graceful, grounded and wise. I really hope she goes far in whatever she does!
Dominuque is so interesting and cool. I love her energy and what she had to say. This is one of my favorite roundtables thus far. Everyone was so important and great to hear from!!
Jennifer Garner radiates kindness and positivity. Her interaction with Emma felt very genuine.
Dominique is an amazing actress. She crushed it in Ptolemy Grey
Im just glad to see Melanie Lynsky everywhere! She deserves so much success and love and work! ❤ love her in everything she does!
This is such a profound and deeply meaningful conversation; everyone contributed such sage personal wisdom. So much mutual respect. I am so grateful to everyone's openness and receptivity to each other. Truly a masterclass more than just a conversation.
Im so happy for emma that they got to meet jennifer! They love her!
I wish the mediator would have asked Emma and Melanie what it's like playing the grown-up versions of their respective characters. Kind of a compare and contrast discussion. Also discussed their characters' relationships with their bestfriend turned enemy for Emma (Rhaenerya) it would be Alicent Hightower and Melanie(Shauna) Jackie
It was so sweet when Melanie said she was lonely and wanted others to know someone was there🥺
Literal embodiment of kindness she is.
Emma D’Arcy is such a inspiration for all the gender fluid people out there… the way they speak about their experience of being targeted for their appearance and the phrase where they says, “i just didn’t exist well,” was pretty hard breaking to know but they play the central character on one of the biggest show on TV. It really shows that if it meant to be than it’ll be, the hard work and struggle does lead you to success.
Yea people are dying of hunger and disease...but sure she had more struggle ehh
@@newlife286A lot of things can be cruel at once, and we are allowed to focus on more than one
@@newlife286 And yet you have time to watch the roundtable and troll the threads. Chop! Chop! Get to work.
Emma playing Rhaenyra Targaryen as a mother was was a perfect match to Milly playing younger rhaenyra ♥️🐉
I was expecting Emma to be asked about her being a mother, her child birth and stillborn scenes from the show! With a table full of actresses that whole topic should have been in the conversation I think Emma would have talked more about being a nonbinary actress in Hollywood and what it’s like playing that character on the show
It's really interesting how Claire says she's never had a chance to do comedy, because there is a lot of humour in even her most serious of roles and I think she'd be great at that. I've been lobbying for Melanie and Natasha Lyonne to do a show together [see their recent 'Actors on Actors' to see what chemistry they have] and I think Claire would be a great addition to that cast. Alternatively, sign her up for S2 of Poker Face.
Claire's still that Inscure Actor....but she is brilliant at the same time.
So excited to hear and see EMMA D'ARCY ❤️
Please excuse my ignorance, but I did not know that Melanie Lynskey is from New Zealand! She plays American parts so brilliantly.
Claire Danes is a living legend. I’m happy to see her being asked for a hug.
Claire Danes outdid herself in Fleishman. That episode was gut wrenching and she managed to put a human face to an apparently reprehensible character. Deserving to win an emmy
I didn’t expect this roundtable to be one of my favorites, but it definitely is. Everyone was so open and so gracious to one another.
Dom Fishback is such an incredible actress. It's nice to see he in these spaces.
Someone needs to jump on Dominique playing Juliet! Make it happen! Such a talent!
This is one of the most insightful round tables you’ve had on. Honest conversations and experiences shared with actresses who haven’t been afforded it outside a private space.
Wow. That was incredible. I cried at one point. Successful women having frank, authentic, vulnerable conversations and at times offering guidance, advice, encouragement and admiration, I mean what is better than that? Just beautiful!!
Love how Jen Gardner looked so low-key even though she had the biggest net worth ..... very humble.
That’s how “Classy” people behave.
There’s no room for arrogance “if you know you got it” because it feels it’s been part of you always.
It’s when it is not part of you that you try hard to show it off.
Claire Danes really displayed the tact and wisdom of an actress who’s been in the business for a while.
"I didn't exist well" that was perfectly said and how i feel
This Roundtable is fire. Lacey is a great moderator because she knows when to sit back and let the participants take control; and these participants are so genuinely curious about each other that it spurs organic conversation. Chef's kiss.
Love both Jennifers, Emma and Melanie but Dominique is seriously one to watch, her acting is great.
I love how they are all just giving each other tips.
This Roundtable is going to be such fun 👏🏽
Jennifer Garner is such a sweet soul. 🥺 the way she grabbed Emmas hand.. love her so much
I am here just to show love to EMMA D'ARCY !!!!! Love them so much
I loved hearing the discussion about therapist on set! I’ve been a therapist almost 30 years -an Art Therapist and creative- and have been fortunate enough to do a lot of local film work (whether acting, writing, general PA or makeup) and on one independent set I was helping out with makeup and was able to step in and help an actor who was under a lot of pressure and near a panic attack. It felt great to help given the director was also stressed to get the shot and losing light and it was beginning to create a larger problem. It made me see the potential need and have wished I could do more. From character development, to the need to be self aware and present in the moment, I am struck by the overlap of becoming a therapist and developing a high capacity for emotional regulation, finely tuned listening and empathy, with the craft of acting and the demands of being on set-especially if you’ve got to be vulnerable, remember lines, work long hours under high stress conditions and go deeply into material that may demand personal healing and growth and mirrors truth to the rest of us. Love these talented women!
I love how they rave about Dominique Fishback's Dre performance, she is really incredible in that role
Claire Danes. I need a hype woman like that in my real life. How intentional, interested and invested with every spoken word.
Hearing their process is so valuable and validating. Thanks, ladies.
Dominique Fishback is so talented ❤❤❤
Wow, this was such a beautiful conversation between these amazing actors.
I absolutely love this round table. Everybody was so genuine.
This was one of the best roundtables I've watched in a long time
What a wonderful and thoughtful conversation. These people are incredible at their craft and their unique perspectives are pleasant to hear
Great roundtable. Have always loved Claire. Such a talent.
“Danes is one of the most exciting actresses to appear in 10 years. I don't really understand why she's captured my heart. She just has an amazing honesty to her presence."
Steven Spielberg, director
I always love the dynamic of having different generations of talent on the shows because it’s always so enthralling to me to see the OG speak, and I just marvel at how the younger generation just soaks up everything that they can. It’s really amazing every time. And also seeing little tips that they try to pass on it’s so cool.
I love the first question, and often thing about how I would approach someone like that. For Melanie Lynskey, my mind immediately goes to Ever After. Loved that entire cast.
This is one of the best roundtable ever. What an amazing group of people. Kudos!
I truly enjoyed this roundtable!
So much respect, care, love and patience for each other!!! Brilliant!
Love this mix of Hollywood legends (Jennifer Garner and Claire) with rising stars (Emma and Dominique). Plus fresh faces on the roundtable (not the usual ones from the past). Well done! (How sweet was Jen Garner to Emma in regards to handling fame)
dominque fishback and Emma D’Arcy seem so wise and smart .. love them sm 💜👏🏻
Authentic sincere conversation really beautiful perspective and insights from all of them
i love all of them! love powerful and strong people, such a great conversation. Having Emma in this table was an amazing addition cause it opens topics that are never talked about, love to see it. Continue doing this please! :)
these roundtables are so lovely and vulnerable and impressive. you get to see a bit of their vulnerability. it's lovely.
This is amazing. It’s like all these actress are here on the Jennifer Coolidge talk show and I’m all here for it
Ok, I’m ready for a comedy with Claire and Melanie ❤
Wow Wow Wow to Dominique Fishback! Not only an incredible actress with such a range, but such a humble person. Love her!!!
It is so beautiful and enheartening seeing these gorgeous talented ladies being so delicate and loving to each other. Dear THR, thank you so much for the roundtables you do, and for this one in particular. ❤
A TON of talent around this table. I still can’t get Carrie Mathison from Homeland out of my head. She was a Tour De Force in Homeland.
This was so enjoyable. I loved the ease in their conversation. And this host is wonderful.
