  • @blackbartbartholomew7122

Joe, when loading your skid park it directly over the axles of your trailer. It’ll stop your truck springs from squatting being over stressed or damaged. Your truck will handle better also with the load distributed evenly on the trailer. Great vid!

    • @solanaceae2069
      @solanaceae2069 Před rokem +5

Cargo's center of gravity should be just very slightly forward of the *center-point between the trailer's axles. You're definitely right about getting it too far forward. Tough on trailer, truck, unexpected loss of steering control hitting a rough patch or dip in the road can make for bad day.

When you get new tires, have them put a blend of antifreeze and water in them and it’ll help a lot with the bounciness and it’ll make going up the hills a lot easier … if you decide to go with rubber tracks, they make a solid and or a semi solid tire to go with the tracks that would also help in the winter time for plowing your driveway .

It is probably already somewhere in the comments but you need to relocate the fuel pump much lower and closer to whatever the fitting on the tank is. That type of electric fuel pump is not designed to lift fuel that distance which is why you had such a hard time getting it to prime.

    • @NotaRobot_gif

Word of advice. When drilling steel, slow speed heavy feed... push hard and use slow speed on drill. Start with a small drill bit and then step up and it will go faster than drilling with the end size first.
Also be careful digging around tge foundation. If the ground slopes towards your basement it can lead to water in the basement.. ask me how i know.. lol.

It don’t have to fit tight but just slid under between the trailer and ground so the trailer doesn’t go up in the front and your ramps won’t want to kick out either!!! Ther YA GO,…!!

Hey man I did landscaping for years and there is no easy way to lay down a couple ton of blocks. You have the right idea with the skid steer but you also need a land leveling laser. Which will show you how much up or down you need to dig to give your bricks a level appearance. Sometimes I had to actually start below the grass line. FYI the largest block/paver I was involved with was 20 ton all hand work.

I think it is jerking when moving forward because either the hydraulic fluid is low or the filter is plugged. Those are the easiest to fix if the pump isn't bad. I would suggest steel treads that fit over the tires and in winter you will not get stuck. I think they will fit just fine the way your machine is right now.

The fabric will hold the grass and weeds off for a while but eventually they’ll poke through and you’ll be digging through fabric and stone to get them out. Also you could Barry the gutter down spout and connect a 4” pvc pipe to it

I used to move equipment like this on a daily basis. You have way too much tongue weight there. You want the center of mass of the skid steer just forward of the front axle. That would be the back tire of the skid steer between the tires of the trailer and the front tire of the skid steer just in front of the trailer tires, if that makes sense.

I my skid steer loader bouncing is cause from high traction and not using the hyd.. evenly during turning. try it on pavement and then in sand. you will see on pavement your turning needs to be much more precises. also are their stater rebuilding shops you can send the hovercraft starter to for rebuilding. Another simple idea is torch or drill a hole in. the bucket for a trailer ball. great job like always!

Just install a tube and send em’ out to get foam filled!! They have to set overnight (24hrs) laying flat on a pallet to cure in 70 degrees at your local tire place. Just call around to a tire service place that does foam fill in house. The tires look like good tread. The 7.50-15 is common for that. The plus to foam fill the tires the skid steer will get better traction because once all tires are filled they will be ALOT HEAVIER! Those bigger lug nuts you got are for foam filled tires because the are much larger “acorn style” lug nut to increase more contact in secureing the clamping force wheel to axle hub so they don’t crack the center out because most of those little skidders come w/a little acorn nut like a car and those provide less clamping contact and because of the side force when turning a skid steer and the weight will crack the centers. To b honest those wheels I see have 10 holes so u could be a universal wheel that fits two different lug style or it gives u a second chance in case u do tear up one set of wheel stud holes . GOOD LUCK!

Yes, but the may be too high for that machine at least 400.00 each

@@scottanderson7160 a 7.50-15=110lbs and most everyone pricing for foam is $2.50per lb. Now if u buy a new tube and pay somebody to dismount the tire, install new tube, mount tire and then fill it, that will be close to ur $400 comment but if the rest hold air they can fill those w/no extra charge

While you have that machine at home, put a light on the back. You dont see it now, but it will come in handy if your plowing snow or trying to load on the trailer later in the evening. Take a moment and make a bracket for the other light. There will be that time you will say I wish I had a light on the back.

Hi I'm curious about the trailer leg. Did it come one the trailer like that or did you modify the trailer for it? That's is a great option because you can lower your tailgate without hitting it.

Hi Buddy . I like your hat . I've been trying to buy one , but none of them have the peak at the back . Are you a bit bothered that the Skid Steer was out of juice despite the fact that it ran until the tyre gave out . Do you think you have a leak ? (The cap thing is a joke ).

Just a thought, I just bought a few different types of blueberries they hedge really nice and give you fruit. Not sure if they'd live through your brutal winter though. Edible shrubbery is an awesome thing to have.

It would be cool if you could trade up to a more modern skid steer, something with pilot controls. You would be way happier and more productive.
