We just moved houses and there is so much organizing and decorating that needs to be done. So lets do it!! I will take you along on all of these little projects with me of how I organize and decorate my home. This video will showcase a shopping haul, pantry organization, spice organization and under the sink organization as well. Settling into our home using The Home Edit from Walmart.

Nothing better than organized spices.
Makes it so much easier to cook
Having grown up in a large family with two working parents, I realized as a working mom myself later, how important it was that my mother kept a clean and organized home. I kept mine the same way. It got a little messy during our busy weeks, but you could open any closet, cabinet or drawer and find everything neat and organized. I think that for children it can make them feel calmer having less chaos and gives them the tools to take care of possessions and clean up after themselves easily. Your home is so lovely and your dining room looked so pretty and cozy after the drapes were installed.
Wish I grew up in a organized home, I was the one who did everything……long story but two intermarriages occurred in my family, my father was Jewish but absolutely didn’t know it, I found all this out thru ancestry…..my great grandfather was Jewish, Neumann, which means my grandmother was Jewish and then my father…..however he and his sister, so assimilated was their family idolatry, unkosher, paganism and everything in between followed…..hence what I grew up in , HATE IT AND TRUST ME HASHEM HAS BROUGHT ME TO A POINT I HATE PAGANISM WITH A VENGEANCE…….MY parents both were constantly sick, myself included since conception…….almost 40 years sick……my father and his sister went to xianity, I left September 2020……in the in-between now ……till I can move out permanently on my own, precarious situation I am in, I ACHE FOR A ORGANIZED LIFE MY ALMOST 37 YEARS IN THIS FAMILY HASNT BEEN ORGANIZED……AND I CAN TRUTHFULLY SAY I KNOW THE EFFECTS OF EATING UNKOSHER …..PORK HAS BEEN EATING CONSTANTLY IN THIS FAMILY AND I HAVE HAD TO LIVE IN A DISORGANIZED HOME…..I AM KOSHER VERY SENSITIVE STOMACH, 14 YEARS ALMOST KOSHER. My parents were in hospital mostly then at home so why? My home life as a child was untidy. Even to this day……my entire life is completely broken no closeness in my family, no peace, no stability…..my father and uncle both intermarried……I KNOW HASHEM HATES INTERMARRIAGE AND I AM LIVING THE CONSEQUENCES. WHICH IS HELL. HAVE LIVED IT DEUTEROMONY 28 & 29. I am the only person in my family with eyes to see. I was always drawn to Judaism as a child and I HATED THE SMELL OF PORK since a child, it always repulsed me growing up. I knew I wanted to live this way since a child watching Fiddler on the Roof …..I knew I wanted to live that way when I grew up. HASHEM, Blessed be He, has really had to work on me patiently because how I was raised to view housework, I have wanted to run away from house , home and everything associated with it…..perfectionism can kill anything…….workaholics…….HASHEM had to give me a vaccine reaction to allow me to know Him in this family, I was the one doing mostly all the work. Barely any time for G_D. And I had a emptiness in me ……I have been ill all my life but 14 years ago a vaccine pushed all my other issues over the cliff. So the last 14 years I have really been going DEEP WITH HASHEM. And really learning to love a Home, though it hasn’t been easy in my current environment. Long story.

It is amazing to me even though I’ve seen it so many times in my life, that when a person returns to eating closer to the heritage foodways and traditions of their ancestry, their health will improve. I also am dealing with the consequences of vaccine injury. My liver is now diseased and I have multiple autoimmune disorders. I am facing a foreshortened lifespan because I took the needles two decades ago. But I returned to a traditional, whole foods diet closer to what my Celtic and NA ancestors ate, and I am pain-free many days. Creator has provided natural medicines on earth for anything and everything we can inflict on ourselves or each other (even death in a few cases!), so I study and seek to live more cleanly in body and spirit.
Stay well. Keep telling people. You never know who will hear and understand, and be protected and fortified.
I grew up in a messy house mostly, and for kids is awful, I swore myself never be that way ,your house is your family sanctuary I don't know how some people don't get it.

WAITING ON G-D to open my Red Sea 🌊 and my living environment after 37 years ( July is my birthday 🎂 )) …..It depresses me…..my mom , late father, my two brothers all messy my brothers just followed their parents footsteps. I am the only one who really cares about cleaning…..my environment depresses me …….DYING FOR MY OWN HOME. My father grew up in a clean home and so to my mother as she was adopted by my Godly grandmother, her biological mother was worse in the unclean department and alcoholism etc…..(( both sides of my family)) …..my father wasn’t inspired by his parents to do anything…..I think how my father lived he rebelled against his parents….literally my life has been GEHONIM. Long story short. Converting to Judaism is my only dream in life keeping me going , have nothing else to live for. Need Divine healing before I can marry or have kids. G_D WILLING WHEN I GET MY OWN JEWISH KOSHER HOME , IT WILL BE FAR DIFFERENT THEN WHAT I GREW UP IN.
You are so right about everything that you said, especially the part about organization being so important to children. Organized closets and drawers in a child’s room does decrease their anxiety when getting dressed for school. Any time a child is looking for something and can’t find it they become frustrated and this is definitely not the way to start their day. They need to leave home for school having had a pleasant morning.

I'm a curtains girl, blinds are great but curtains really make a room come together I think. The house is also looking amazing!! ❤
Blinds are also a problem to keep clean.
I think windows without curtains look unfinished. Curtains add that finishing touch and add so much coziness to a home.

Shutters are awesome … heavy curtains with a valance are dust magnets and are very old school. To each his own though, it’s what whatever you like.

HI Sonya. I am a 73 year old, non-Jewish woman who loves CZcams and seeing how my "sisters" live their lives. I just thought I would comment about curtains/blinds. I have a combination- My living room has the up/down shades, we have pull down shades in the bedroom with sheers, blinds in the other bedrooms with sheers, and blinds (plantation) in the dining room. Sounds like a hodge-podge, but it works. I love your kitchen, BTW!

Curtains in our living areas, and shades in the bedroom.
I line all my drawers and cabinets too! And that even makes them easier to keep clean.

Under sink hack: Amazon or Ikea (?) pliable rubber mats that line the floor so when the sink leaks (and they allllll do at some time)..it catches the moisture without buckling the cabinet floor. Ikea also has silicone mini bins for cleaning bottles so if they leak (the cap was not on right etc) liquid does not go over all the place.

Your dining room curtains look beautiful! Your husband did a great job of hanging them. I like curtains for elegance in formal rooms like living room, dining room and master bedroom. I have blinds AND curtains in our first floor bathroom for extra privacy because it is next to our back entrance which we use all the time. My husband requested a masculine bathroom, so I chose window curtains with vertical multi stripes in greens and blues. Shower curtain and towels are plain coordinating colors. Kitchen plus two rooms and bath on second floor have cellular shades that open from the top down as well as from the bottom up. Houses are close together in our neighborhood, and many people like to walk. So if I open shades from the top down, natural light comes in but neighbors and people walking by can’t see in. You did a great job of organizing those kitchen and bathroom cabinets that can get so cluttered. It makes me so happy when I open a door or drawer and everything is neat and accessible. Your spice drawer is gorgeous!

Hello, I prefer the complete window treatments, blinds than a fabulous curtains arrangement. I think curtains brings out the character of a room. My coworker was complaining she needed to change her living room. I suggested change the window treatments. she did! She gave me a Starbucks gift card for my recommedations. lol..
So true, it adds so much to a room
No blinds! They’re more aesthetically pleasing, but a PAIN to clean!!!! Maybe to label your bins, use chalkboard tags so you’re not dealing with sticky adhesive when you have something different in it or need to change the contents out?

You'll be so glad you've put all of the products under your sink into plastic bins. This is especially important for those times when the plumber's on the way to fix a leak, and you have to clear out that space in a hurry.
The best part of this video was when you had to make sure all the sponges matched by color in their bins! 🤣 😉

Blinds are my preference
I'm not an organized person by nature, but those Dollar Tree bins and buckets really help! I even use their half-size laundry baskets to pre-sort my laundry and save a step (of course, I'm handling laundry for just one person). I admire your dedication to keeping a tidy environment; it's such an inspiration!

I prefer curtains, but mostly to frame the windows. Blinds close the house in and obscure the view, so I reserve them for a room where I want to be able to close them for darkness at night. If I was starting over, I wouldn’t have any blinds.

Just custom blinds. I can not deal with the dust that curtains seem to acquire overnight. Whenever I see curtains or carpeting (I have all hardwood or Italian tile), I only think dust and mold.
