  • Night Time Routine with the Kids ||Working Mom || In Bed by 7PM || SOLO Mommy Routine
Evening Routine as a working mommy of 5. I show you how I get my kids to be in bed by 7pm. My husband usually only gets home at 7PM, which means I have the responsibility of getting the kids to do their homework, eat dinner, and in bed by 7. I used to wait for my husband to come home prior to putting the kids to bed, but that would just rile up the kids even more for HOURS. Most weekdays, since starting his new job, my husband does get home by 6:30, which is great!
With this video, my hope was to show you how real my evenings are. They are messy, loud, and fast paced. To keep up I try to be as organized as I can be. Hope you enjoyed.

The key to all of this is to start it right from birth. Good food, calm parenting and routine, routine ROUTINE! It all takes a parent to be active in channeling responsibility by participating and role modeling as you go. Then you can sit back and watch a well oiled machine called happy family life...mostly 🤣 Hugs Kate in NY.

One time my daughter scribbled on a paper wallpaper with a pen. If you don't mind my saying so, Sonya, you need to have some videos on child-rearing! They are so well-behaved! Everyone sitting at the table at the same time, eating dinner together! No throwing things, no outrageous tantrums, no talking back or outright destruction. I have seen a LOT of kids (i was a nanny for a while) and I am telling you, this is not the norm. You are the new SuperNanny!

Trust me my kids do all those things as well. As much as we wish kids to be born perfect and well behaved they aren’t. They really arent supposed to be if you think about it. This is how they learn and grow. In a nutshell they cry, scream and don’t listen as well I just edit those moments out for the sake of everyone’s ears. Lol

@@SonyasPrep Well yes, kids ARE supposed to test boundaries and be loud and playful, etc., but your response points out something very important. The goal in child-rearing is to be able to love your children, enjoy their learning ---- but also make it agreeable for other grown-ups to be around your kids. One of the kids I was a nanny for was extremely violent (at the age of 6!), and once pushed his uncle down the stairs, resulting in an injury so severe an ambulance had to be called. Trust me, your kids are angels!

Now mind you he was three at the time. I feel that this gave him a good sense of accomplishment and being grown-up. Then when he was done, He would often want to cook with me. I would set him up with a vegetable peeler, a cutting board and a small knife ,so he could learn how to cook like a big person. It was great . Like you I have 5children and are now grown up. It's just take a lot of organizing and focus on them. I quit my job on my 3rd one and became homemaker for 16 years. There will always be challenges but time really flies so fast and when they finished college, I just keep looking back but cannot even feel the hardships, bc it's all gone and paid off. Kudos to you coz you're holding a full time job as well as a super mom!

Just doing my best. As you very well know it is not easy but truly a blessing that I try to enjoy because I know how fast they will grow up.

Wow I complain of my 2 year old how he's to hyper and moves around too much, but I just have one baby. Now that I see your videos I realized that I need to stop complaining about everything. I really admire you on how you have to handle 5 kids and work and the daily life chores. I know it must be really hard, God bless you and your family. You really inspire me, thanks.

You have such good children. Maybe an extra cushion on top of the chair, or perhaps making a design on the chair cushion then sealing it with shoe wax? Could perhaps try shoe leather dye and polish?

Wow you run a very organized household! Great job!! Hashem should continue to give you the strength to be a mother and wife!
My kids miss my husband after a long day away from eachother, I try to give them 20 min together even if it cuts thru their bedtime, it's important for the bonding time, I used to clean while my kids eat, however I learned that during the mealtime, that should me the time to bond with the kids, speak about their day, catch up and just sit and enjoy eachothers company. The house work will never end ,but this age will fly by, if that's not feasible then I would make alone time with each child and get to know them, many times we get so lost in the routine of life that we neglect to bond with our children. Theirs too much responsibility on the woman, something will have to give, we are so limited in our energy, so if I find myself exhausted after a long day of work, cooking, cleaning I noticed my relationship with my husband isn't as close as it should be, so next time around I put my house chores on hold to make that time to bond with my husband and kids, instead of washing the dishes while my kids are up, I play with them and take care of my house chores later. Cause thats secondary, family bonding and shalom bayit should precede the house chores this is advice that was given by my Rebetzin and I'm grateful got that. I dont know how u do it! the household chores can wait, sit on the couch with the kids they grow so fast!

Time flies by. Enjoy their little personalities while you can. You don't want them thinking my Mom was always cooking and cleaning. Yet not really knowing YOU and vise versa. Dont forget to make one on one memories together. Housework will always be there. Not matter what . They will not. ❤

Use white board markers on the permanent marker to take out the stain. It is magic. Literally, colour right over it and then wipe off. Way easier and faster than magic eraser.

You can redo the chair if you have a staple gun. My wife has done this quite a few times over the years. It usually doesn't cost much for a little upholstery fabric. She said you should look for remnants.
