What a week it has been!! All of us got really sick with the flu at the same time. I got it pretty badly. I knew that I would have no energy to stand up and cook for Shabbat like I normally do. We originally thought of ordering everything in for Shabbat but my husband offered to cook in the end. I can't wait to read your responses in the comments below after you see how he has done.

How do you think Mr. Prep did for his first time🤣? You definitely see my kitchen in a very different light in this video 😅. But I think its super important to keep things real. No one is perfect. People get sick. Houses get messy. At the end of the day, its how we handle difficult and stressful times. Hope all of you are keeping healthy and safe 💗.

This is a great lesson for mothers out there: make a ton of great videos showing how you make your recipes and then when you’re really sick, hubby can take over and hold down the fort. 😉. Excellent job, Mr Prep!!

This was great! My husband found himself cooking and taking care of the kids when I was a nurse working the the evening shift. He would even drive to work with leftovers to be sure I got something to eat for dinner knowing I skipped meals most days. Your husband did a great job. I love real. I like when things get messy out of love and caring. Hope you are well very soon.

Sonya, Your family is absolutely precious just like you! The joy and love of your house shows through always, but especially on this video. Your husband and kids are troopers! Mr. Prep cheerfully stepped up and that’s a tall order. Can’t help but notice he cooks at very high heat but of course the kids didn’t seem to mind and gave every dish a hearty thumbs up! As a former restaurant owner with a career in fine dining, I have enjoyed watching your videos and I am very impressed with your creativity and skill. I hope you’re feeling better!

Why need to thank him. This his obligation as her not less. He is Jew & father these two duties include serving the family & the shabbat neads. The dwarfs on vacation. The last time you took the children outside while she cooked. The kids did not bother you so next time you can both prep and she can rest earlier

That's so awesome of you! My fiance always cooks when I don't feel well. He's definitely not the best chef unless we're talking about seafood. He'll do the same thing, make some of my easier recipes and always have me taste test for seasonings. Men that can get in the kitchen to help their significant other are amazing!

One of the things I loved about Mr. Prep doing this is it shows that anyone can cook. Meals don't have to be fancy to be good. All of it looked delicious.

Refuah shleyma! I'm afraid when I'm sick, my Shabbat prep consists of pulling out the largest soup pot and replacing the wastebasket by my bed. This inspires me to plan ahead better for those less-than-ideal Shabbats. Hope everyone feels better soon!
