I love watching these live versions of Elvis back in the early days. This was performed on the "Ed Sullivan" show in 1957. Many times you will see the backup quartet singers called "The Jordanaires" with him. They performed with Elvis in live appearances, on his recordings & in his films in the 50's-70's. Elvis' movements were considered scandalous to show on TV. Some shows only filmed him from the waist up.

Ah yes…this is when he got censored and was shown from the waist down. No autotune back then, and singing with a boom mic over his head. I’ve been going down the Elvis rabbit hole hole for a few weeks now and I just can’t get enough, especially his early years. The Vegas years I’m not a big fan of, probably because his spiral downward is clearly visible. That, and how people have made a caricature of him with Vegas in mind.
