    Good evening, I'm from Ukraine!! We are very glad that you are united with us in this grief. In the song, my compatriot, she sings about the tragic repressions of the USSR against the Ukrainian people (resettlement from Ukraine to the North of Russia, where about 450,000 families were forcibly taken out in freight cars). Today - this question and this pain again has repetitions - Russia is carrying out genocide of Ukrainians - destroying them with modern bombs, tanks. It's horrible. Be with us in thoughts and prayers and we will overcome this evil.

    Shawn and Trey, A Ukraine Eurovision video , and you are right, this is timed during world events involving the Ukraine. The first song lives up to the title, there were wild dancing, the song is upbeat and energetic, and the performers did have a lot of energy. Good comments by you guys. The second song has an almost hypnotic tempo in the percussion, the music has an intriguing sound. Nice vocal. This is not as colorful as the other song, but this song is better. Again good comments by you guys of the song. You both chose the second song as the winner. I agree, I choose the second song as the winner. A nice Eurovision battle John.

    Not only wild dances was included on GTA 4 but Ruslana was actually the dj in one of the radios of the game as other musicians like Iggy Pop, Femi Kuti, Juliette Lewis, Dj Premier,Roy Ayers and Daddy Yankee.Ruslana followed on the fad of ethnic pop that was popular then especially in Eurovision with Sertab's win for Turkey the previous year and Elena's Paparizou win for Greece the next one until Lordi came and shocked the status quo of Eurovision. 1944 of course without a doubt is way better than Wild dances because it's not just a dumb pop song but has substance that raised awareness to these tragedy but because the Tatars are a Turkic minority( there's also a Hellenic minority in Ukraine that suffered some casualties in the current war) I have to mention that there's a selective sensitivity when it comes to these situations because the Turks committed if not worse at least similar just on the opposite side of the Black Sea on Armenians and Greeks ( primarily) that had lived in modern day Turkey since antiquity ( about a millennium before the Turks came over from Central Asia and savagely turkified local populations by force like with the abduction of kids if you know about the Janissaries) from 1913 until 1923 and they're still unrecognized as genocides by the Turks. Sorry if I got a little political there but I thought I should. To lighten up the mood though, what's next, Verka's performance? (Probably the most ridiculous act in Eurovision history).

      Do not confuse Crimean Tatars and Turks. these two peoples have different cultures, different history, even their languages belong to different language groups. the Crimean Tatars, whom Stalin destroyed and to whom Jamala belongs, did nothing to the Armenians or Greeks (Jamala is also of Armenian descent, she is half Tatar, half Armenian). Crimean Tatars saved Jews from the Germans in WW2, while Greece was on the side of the Nazis. would you attribute to the Portuguese all the crimes committed by the Spaniards in America?

    • @tupacshakour9102
      @tupacshakour9102 Před rokem

      @@shatelei You don't know history if you think Greece was ever on the side of Germany ( Literally never unlike Turkey who was coached by German military on how to commit ethnic cleansing and genocide) Greece was the only country that won an axis country, Italy in 1940 and was then occupied in 1941 by the Nazis. Also I didn't say that Stalin went after Greeks and Armenians, Neoturks though did, and if Tatars and Turks aren't related why do the Turks care about Tatars along with other Turkic minorities as one of the minorities they want to protect their interests
