Boost has a significant advantage over EVA foams (like Bounce, Lightstrike [pro], and almost all other midsoles), it's made of TPU, adding durability. EVA foams rely (almost) only on the elasticity of the air bubbles, so once they pop, it's gone, the foam compresses and the cushioning is gone. TPU based Boost just lasts longer! Same for other brands (Puma NRGY and whatever else there is) that have TPU based midsoles. In many cases, I'll accept the higher weight for that.
lightstrike pro is likely eva+tpu
Lightstrike pro is TPEE foam
looks dope! i wanna try these 👍🏼 thx James
Back at it with my fave intro! 💯🔥 I feel what you're saying btw, about the sneaker tech crossover would be sick 🙌🏽
Love your channel
Thanks for doing this!
OG's remember the old intro
Hey Hes. Don’t forget to try the ASICS novablast 2 before you make your comparison video. I’ve seen a lot of comparisons of the ASICS FF blast foam to zoom x.
Great video as always.... can you do one on wearing female Adidas sizing for men? I heard you mention before about the cool colorways and it would be good to know width and size variation if a guy bought the female ultra boost dna for instance 👍
Yea I tried this and I love the feeling
There's no comparison between Lightstrike Pro and Boost. Boost has been relegated to a nostalgic capacity. PS these are great to run in.
Better than Nike vaporflys?
Boost still feels good compared to most of the sneakers out there. I wish there was a fly knit boost sneaker.
@@deannemmer6742 We're comparing boost and Lightstrike Pro.
@M Zaddy we're not talking about Lightstrike. We're talking about Lightstrike Pro. It's completely different.
@M Zaddy Lightstrike Pro and Lightstrike are about as comparable as boost and a brick. It's an entirely different composition.
Hi ! Could you try a pair of Puma NITRO (deviante, magnify…) and tell us your feelings ? 💥🙏😊
Can you give your thoughts on this vs Nike invincible run I’m trying to buy a new shoe kind of torn between these two
Very very interesting!
how u compare it with: zoomx, peak taichi, nb fuelcell, saucony everun?
Why is Adidas capping these at Men’s size 13 when they have full size runs for Ultraboost and a ton of other models. I really like adidas running shoes over Nike and Saucony but just can’t get them in my size.
Can you review more new balance aswell
These are dope, but the $220 price will put a dent in your pocket, especially if you're just wearing them once in a while casually. I have a pair and alternate between these and a pair of Nike Zoom Alphafly's on runs. They are a really nice shoe.
Where did you get your shelving?
Damn that old intro hit different.
Ahhhhhh! These are for long distance racing! The horror! 😵💫😵💫 Adidas running uppers are amazing!
Hes keep it up
What machine did you use
Have to wait until these make it into a more casual looking silhouette. But a question...is Lightstrike Pro an eTPU, PU, nitrogen infused EVA or some synthetic rubber like React?
But it's a performance foam...
Adidas won't tell anyone what lightstrike pro is but there are some who believe that it's a nitrogen infused TPU which might explain why it's significantly heavier than competitors with pebax or other nylon based foams
I have never seen the new balance RC_1300 tds on here. I am pretty sure you would like the feel (from a casual perspective) 😎
You should also try Adidas Adizero Prime X too!!!!
He literally said in the video he tried to get a pair but they sold out.
Nice to see the old intro again!
Adidas Adizero Boston 10
PLEASE,Thank You👏👍🙏
Up
"new tech upper for better breathability" ...check Puma LQD Cell OpticSheer from 2019. 😁
Adidas Ultra Boost ---> check Puma Hybrid Rocket Runner + puma dont loose volume in midsole like Boost (trust me, Im 110-115kg and I wear them 2 years and midsole is still the same as first day).
Lol your hefeluxx ad came up while watching this video
Sneaker cushion density video supremacy
I bought these for the running, incredible shoes, but only for running. Never buy these for casual wear.
I saw some of the Adizero on Adidas recent sale and almost got them but they are so running oriented I wasn’t sure they would be good for someone that doesn’t run. I guess I should have went ahead and tried them. Oh well always next time. Great video again Hes
The adios 6 would be the best of the Lightstrike Pro shoes for casual use.
Adizero? Like from those basketball shoes years back? Damn
I really enjoyed the cloud foam tech when they came out but they stopped using that in the style of casual sneakers that i like.
I agree. They would come with a little cloud foam keychain too
Cloudfoam is complete garbage. You can get boost or lightstrike shoes for around the same price.
Wish it wasn't so pricey..... I'd like to try it......
Your heel seems to slip a bit to the side in the on-feet vids.
افضل قناه وافضل تغطيه بالتوفيق دائما
nice
I’ve done a few run in the pro 2s the energetic rides make the shoe very stiff compared to Vaporflys. The lightstrike pro does offer good responsiveness at faster paces. I prefer the vaporflys as they are less stiff more responsive and lighter. Adios pro 2 are on the heavy side of carbon fiber running shoes.
adios 6 for most runners has LIGHTSTRIKE and LSPro at $120. No carbon plate or rods and a lot more stable at slow and mid pace. The adiosPro/Pro2 is not at all for casual wear. The adizero range is serious running gear for serious runners. They did a DNA version of the adizeroPro that may be better for casual use.
✌🏽💙👟
The 6 is getting awesome reviews. I got a pair for my buddy and raves about them. Interesting the Boston 10 is not getting such reviews. The Pro 2 is a fantastic shoe. Love it.
@@Badmansband the B10 just went too far from the B9 for no good reason. The adios6 should the evolution of the Boston while the adiosPro could simply take over the original adios. I’m sure the adizero team didn’t want to alienate adios fans while creating an (priced) entry level hi-stack trainer. But they ended up releasing a Boston that alienated fans of that model. Maintaining the adios is more important from an adizero legacy perspective.
✌🏽💙🏃🏽♂️
@@sneakerprofiler I agree. The B10 should have been given a different moniker.
Fourth comment! Love what you’re doing Hes!!!
We need a version without the energyrods like a Zoom X Invincible, Infinity React 2 or Rebel 2. That's the only way I'd try Lightstrike Pro.
Try the adios 6.
@@Badmansband Thank you! I will check those out. Though I wish it was full length LS Pro.
@@wade_county you gotta remember, Pro is a high performance foam. It's soft and responsive but that comes with instability like all other soft high performance foams.
@@Badmansband maybe if you remove the rocker shape and alter the rods shape, it might be best of both worlds
Thought you will go with the Prime X lol. e
Yeah, would be better suited and harder for him to bottom out in
Would love to see a k swiss shoe review 😁
*You are magically cursed for an entire year to stand in the same spot.*
*You get to wear Pegasus turbo 2, NB 1080 v10, ultraboost 21, or NB fuel cell rebel V2. What do you choose?*
Rebel
Yes
If I'm standing in the same spot I'd probably want something firmer, so Ultraboost 21.
@@wade_county best shoe would actually be something with no give. Try the samba or some skate or other indoor soccer shoes
@@kimwarner6050 yes, but that wasn't the options for us to pick
Let’s see more Reebok, owned by Adidas and half the price
Honestly they're made pretty cheaply compared to Adidas.
yeah... floatride so nice & affordable 🙂
I can't believe Hes already has over 500k subscribers! Wasn't he just at barely over 100k like 6 months ago? Or am I tripping?
Check out Brandblack! Really cool brand that is putting out some good stuff
👍
Which is softer lighstrike or zoom x?
The failed-no-hands test and that thin, floppy tongue make this a no-go for me
Are you a runner?
I can't return and without soul it's more uncomfortable
Seems like a much, MUCH pricier version of Nike Zoom Fly SP
Never again should you assume that softer and squishier means better cushioning.
Runners will run away from squishy cushioning. It totally messes their stride and it's way too unstable.
Even for casual use having sneakers too soft will cause your feet and knees to develop bad habits.
Boost is soft but it also provides decent stability and rigidity . That's why recent vapormaxes are better than the OG's. OG's had way too much of a give with those huge bubbles. As they lowered them we get resistance sooner and the shoe is now much better to wear for long periods.
I think that it always depends on a personal preference for people, softer does mean better cushioning to some, but I know people that run with next to nothing as well, but you have zoom ask Weber fly which is crazy amounts of cushioning for marathon runners so I don’t think any type of cushioning could be put in one category it’s all preference
@@heskicks Zoom isn't that much of a simple cushioning tech as it is used to spring energy back up trough those fibers. Zoom is actually much less squishy than boost or react. It's not it purpose to absorb impact. If you look at the zoom fly you will see the softer foam on the back to take the impact of the heel stride and the zoom at the front of the foot to give you an extra impulsion. But sure, it's all about preferences. That's why brands have so many setups.
This is about soft and squishy, not marathon running lol
@@ryancrawford8042 soft and squishy is tiring
springy midsoles are more efficient and therefore less tiring and more comfortable in the long run, physically and metaphorically
@@placeholder3863 I am not looking to run marathons. I am actually looking for soft and squishy. FuelCell Zoomx and LS Pro are very well cushioned for energy return when running. Some of these are well cushioned at walking speed impacts and some are not. Cushioning and energy return are different attributes and the relativity between the two can vary greatly from 1 activity to another.
Nike is watching.
DAMN IT HES, YOU’RE MISSING OUT ON OOFOS SNEAKERS! OOFOS ARE MORE COMFORTABLE THAN ALL THE SNEAKERS ON YOUR LISTS
I love their sandals. Haven’t tried their shoes yet
Oofos are just pure butter 🧈
I always thought a carbon plated runner would be literally impossible to wear casually 😂
Is it not as bad as I'm imagining?
Me or the shoe looks like it’s yellowed?
only OGs remember the days when Hes would say ultra boost 1 dot oh
Hawumach
Bring back the old intro, not digging that shoe mix
I’m pretty sure your suppose to wear normal socks so if you got low cut it’s only your own fault
Algorithm
Boost Is Just Way too soft and unstable, I've owned 5 different models, all were re sold within a a few weeks, And no they were not Fake
Nike react/ pegasus is alot better
interesting
I found boost to be really heavy and not that soft
If a shoe has carbon fibers it's impossible to walk for me
why isnt possible to walk in carbon fiber shoes?
i thank you in advance!
@@bernynavidad889 I mean it is, i have zoom fly 3, the front the shoe is really hard because of the carbon fiber, it only feel good when running, the back is really soft so it sinks, its really unstable to walk and after a while it makes the front of my feet numb
@@carlosdlguerra you guys need to understand that a carbon plated shoe is almost always designed for running. There are completely different design parameters in a performance running shoe than a shoe for casual wear. I mean, would you run in steel caps?
@@carlosdlguerra Hi!
I'm very sorry for my late response!
At the same time, I deeply thank you for taking the time to answer me and let me know your experience with a carbon plated shoe when walking!
It was very kind of you!
From the bottom of my heart, i hope the front of your feet dont get numbed anymore!
Take good care of yourself!
Best,
@@Badmansband I wonder how Hes hasn't got any kind of discomfort wearing carbon plated shoes just for casual wear?
Perhaps it depends in the model, the brand or the person?
I suffer of a terrible and stubborn plantar fasciitis, which has stopped me from running!
I was thinking to give it a go to the newest technology in order to find some relief.
I even though about buying adizero Prime X for its stack height.
Or NB fuelcell RC Elite.
Any advice will be very much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Adidas next % 😂
Shit is getting too squishy. We are gonna all start breaking our ankles 😂 I used to think Boost was too squishy. Idk anymore 🤣
They take some getting used to. Once your ankles and shins adjust they are golden. They are also very fast running shoes. The propelling capabilities are great.
BS
That's a vapor fly. Let's call it what it is. I was super interested in these and now I'm just disappointed 😐
Nope, different tech.
Boost is dead. Period
Not dead, it's still going to have its place but in performance shoes it has certainly been relegated. If they could find away to reduce the weight without compromising its performance there's still a place in higher end performance.
Boost is sooooooooo dead!
