    Boost has a significant advantage over EVA foams (like Bounce, Lightstrike [pro], and almost all other midsoles), it's made of TPU, adding durability. EVA foams rely (almost) only on the elasticity of the air bubbles, so once they pop, it's gone, the foam compresses and the cushioning is gone. TPU based Boost just lasts longer! Same for other brands (Puma NRGY and whatever else there is) that have TPU based midsoles. In many cases, I'll accept the higher weight for that.

    I’ve done a few run in the pro 2s the energetic rides make the shoe very stiff compared to Vaporflys. The lightstrike pro does offer good responsiveness at faster paces. I prefer the vaporflys as they are less stiff more responsive and lighter. Adios pro 2 are on the heavy side of carbon fiber running shoes.

    adios 6 for most runners has LIGHTSTRIKE and LSPro at $120. No carbon plate or rods and a lot more stable at slow and mid pace. The adiosPro/Pro2 is not at all for casual wear. The adizero range is serious running gear for serious runners. They did a DNA version of the adizeroPro that may be better for casual use.

  • @gabkoost
    @gabkoost Před 2 lety +6

    Never again should you assume that softer and squishier means better cushioning.
    Runners will run away from squishy cushioning. It totally messes their stride and it's way too unstable.
    Even for casual use having sneakers too soft will cause your feet and knees to develop bad habits.
    Boost is soft but it also provides decent stability and rigidity . That's why recent vapormaxes are better than the OG's. OG's had way too much of a give with those huge bubbles. As they lowered them we get resistance sooner and the shoe is now much better to wear for long periods.

    • @heskicks
      @heskicks  Před 2 lety +2

      I think that it always depends on a personal preference for people, softer does mean better cushioning to some, but I know people that run with next to nothing as well, but you have zoom ask Weber fly which is crazy amounts of cushioning for marathon runners so I don’t think any type of cushioning could be put in one category it’s all preference

    • @gabkoost
      @gabkoost Před 2 lety

      @@heskicks Zoom isn't that much of a simple cushioning tech as it is used to spring energy back up trough those fibers. Zoom is actually much less squishy than boost or react. It's not it purpose to absorb impact. If you look at the zoom fly you will see the softer foam on the back to take the impact of the heel stride and the zoom at the front of the foot to give you an extra impulsion. But sure, it's all about preferences. That's why brands have so many setups.
