How cool! Squier makes some great stuff, even if they do require a little TLC and a good setup. You can’t beat the quality for the price, and if you enjoy doing setups and customizations anyway, they’re a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing your New Guitar Day!
I have owned a few Squier that are great, and some that were not and required too much work. This one however, is exceptional and will require a minimum of work to make it stand up to some of my more expensive guitars. More on this guitar soon!

Squier is no longer a “second-class Fender”. I owned a Squier Affinity Telecaster for a few years. The guitar was great. The tuners weren’t the best but I could live with them. I sold it to a friend of mine and decided to buy a Mexican made Fender Telecaster. The Fender is definitely heavier with its thicker body. It also has better tuners and pickups. However, as far the sound, both Fender and Squier sound almost identical. My favorite though is the American Standard Fender Stratocaster, 1994, the 40th anniversary edition.

Very nice review. What I like about it is that it's got a good variety of tones, from the single coil spank to the humbucker punch and sustain. It's probably also light and easy on your shoulder if you're going to be standing for a while. Glad to hear that the frets aren't too bad for poking out. I'll have to see if they made a lefty model. I've got a left handed 1977 Mustang bass that could use a partner.
I don't think there is a lefty version of this one. Manufacturers rarely make left hand models of the lower priced guitars. I will be making an update video on tweaking this guitar to my way of playing.

Great review .I finally picked one up on Reverb today after having it on my wish list since buying my Fender Blacktop Jaguar which is beautiful but a bit hefty @8.8lbs so one of these should be a breeze to handle .Sounds great in your hands too .Can't wait for mine now lol

Followed you forever, and I just recommended a friend buy this for their daughter. You should set it up, take care of the fret issues, and update your viewers on your thoughts once the guitar has settled in. It seems like you were having tuning stability issues, and it would be interesting if you could get that improved without upgrades to the tuners, nut, and saddles.
I will. I setup EVERY guitar I buy to my liking, no matter what the price, and am amazed that this one will require less setup than most I have purchased. A follow up will come on this one soon! Just ordered one in sherwood Green with white competition stripes, it was a purely impulse buy based on the colour as its a favourite. I've watched a few reviews and seen they can come with a few tuning and intonation issues and as I'm s plug in and play kinda guy if that's the case with mine I'll probably take it to a professional to get it set up properly but for £115 I couldn't say no. Fingers crossed I'll get one that doesn't have said issues 🤞

It seems everyone talks about the strings, yet Squier informed me that all their guitars are fitted with Fender NPS 250s. A string that I've used on my 5 string "Keef" Telecaster forever. I don't seem to have issues with them.

Very nice ,Btw they used to be 12 in fretboards but they switched to 9.5 in 2012 ,If the "Mustang "is smaller and funer prin goin straight its after 2018=9 .If the Mustang is bolder ans slightly curved its the older model .I bought a 2020 model inblack an love it ,it's 9.5 in fret board btw ,weighs 5,7lbs,

Hey Eric, just watched Top of the pops 1986 on tv here in England. These awesome sounding dudes on there with a really cool number titled Word Up. I remember buying the 12 inch groove & playing it again & again. Now in my 60s i learn music from 1 of those dudes. Marvellous

Well, my Mustang is one of my favourite guitars, and by far the cheapest. I've got 11s on it which is far better than the 9s it comes with on a short scale like this. I'm glad I bought it as I now I have a short scale which makes me play differently. More tricky chords and when playing power chords it feels almost like playing single notes on a bass. I have a surf green one with a pearloid scratch plate I bought cheap from Aliexpress lol.

Thanks. But actually that is not true. If I pick up a guitar that sucks, I just don't play it. I only play the ones that work well, which makes it appear that they ALL sound good when I play them. 😄

I have this guitar, After the 12th fret it sounds terrible, impossible to solo with this piece of sh*t
You just got a bad one. Mine solos fine all the way up the neck. SEND IT BACK! Every brand sends out a bad guitar every now and then, no matter how much they cost. I bought this guitar with my own money and am very happy with it. You will see it again and again in my upcoming tutorials.
