Still can't believe how good this guitar is for the budget, wow.
the blue is sharp looking
@@landonbailey Which blue would you say? I want to get the Lake Placid with White Stripes, but it's out of stock everywhere I've looked, I was only able to find the Imperial Blue, and I'm not liking how it looks in the picture.
@@MayhemJack for real i've been doing the same exact thing
"The nut material is PPS. I don't know what PPS, hopefully it doesn't have too much peepee in it - or S."
Classic Landon bailey right there.
That smooth unfinished feeling on the back of a squire bullet neck is one of their best features.
Pros: cheap light inexpensive fun to play. Cons: scratchy rough frets, tuning machines are poop. Easily fixable though. Worth every penny
The frets on mine are really smooth, though I think thats combo of replacing the standard strings and playing it so much they've smoothened out really nicely
@@bananarama-nw9md yeah. Ive been playing on a squier for a year now and the frets really have smoothened alot
@@bananarama-nw9md mine stays well in tune and I bend a lot. Still play with the original strings set :D
Frets are scratchy, easily fixed though, and apart from that they are really good.
I had no problems with the tuners, they hold tune. The bridge is PHJ (Pisspoor Hunk of Junk) and was swapped out. I even drilled the body and made mine string-through. Nut is also garbage and can be easily changed for a graphtech or similar, assuming you have access to sandpaper and more than 3 neurons.
This is a great guitar for practicing guitar tech stuff. I even took the string-trees off, filled the holes and made my own Reverend type 3 string tree. Looks cool and works.
@@garyt.8745 so you couldnt find a top loading bridge that fit? Or did you want to go string through? I want a better bridge for sure
I think this is probably the best Squier Bullet of them all.
I think it may be
I'm inclined to agree.
Your deep dives are always so informative, humorous, and awesome in general. I am so glad I found this channel. Your laid back vibe is great - also love all the 90s references in general. Brings me back to some good times. Keep these videos rolling!

i like how you always played Radiohead riffs on some of these deep dive video. It sounds great too in this guitar.
Hey, I love how you do these deep-dive videos because not all CZcamsrs do it in this detail thanks, keep up the great work.
iâve been looking for a guitar for my son, and itâs awesome youâve taken the time to show all the details. keep these videos coming!
Landon walks the fine line between being a gear channel and a comedy channel.
Just got one yesterday. Really impressed with how good the clean tone is, ideal. Also looks cool too!
I like how you reviewed this, casual and calm, nice job.
really enjoy your deep dive video's and videos in general, what a great looking guitar! Keep up the excellent work!
I just put together the Canadian connection. Neil Young (Canadian). Landon (Canadian). Keep on rocking in the free world!
And the RUSH riffs.
I love that clean tone
I love the deep dives, I always learn something new in these videos
Shockingly good sounding. Thanks.
I'm honestly impressed by how good the pickups sound on a guitar at that price!
These Squier Bullet Mustangs are the perfect guitars for price, mods and to teach my three sons to play and cherish.
I have just started playing guitar, I began to learn 3 months ago and im loving it and I definitely want to carry it on for the rest of my life. The fender mustang body shape is my dream guitar and blue is my favourite colour, I cant believe that your giving away this gorgeous guitar Landon, I absolutely afore it and would really help with my guitar journey
Always enjoy your guitar deep dives mate.
Picked one up for my son on black Friday for $129. For what it is and that price, itâs actually really nice. Needs a little work to make it better but itâs very playable and has a nice sound. Wish I had it as my first guitar...
Iâm impressed that they shielded the cavity with shielding paint. Not the worst wiring job Iâve seen either.
love it! Great deep dive, as usual :)
Just love the colour bro. Its really looks good...
Nice work on the deep dive. This guitar is calling my name-but I think it thinks my name is Djnkajaouw-wow!
âFender design fail, that guitar is shaped nothing like a bullet.
shoot!
That why this guitar don't have text with BULLET
MUSTANG
@@bahadortanzif8932 doesnât look like a ford mustang either
Or a mustang.
Landon I'm glad you remembered to show the removal of the plastic covering. The best partđ. Thanks for the review. Never owed one of these. Stay safe. Peace!
Thank you for the review and also for showing us the pedals you're using and the amp, it helps a lot đ
"Just doing the makeup here" LOL. You're hilarious! I love this types of walkthrough reviews: simple and funny. Genius.
Glad you enjoyed!
It is a fun one, Squier nailed the grunge and punk, making good use of the budget materials which fit the bill. I have returned guitars 3x the price for quality issues, but never returned a Bullet. Good for what is is. Nice deep dive, thanks!
cheers
Another Nice guitare from Squier... And another great deep dive vidéo (as Always), Congratulations !
Thanks for showing the electronics, always useful to see in advance.
This gives me the courage to actually dig around the guts of a guitar and think about mods. Definitely wouldn't have done that on my own. Thanks!
Go for it!
This has always been one of those "I would get this and mod the shit out of it" guitars
My plans exactly đđ
Modded my white bullet mustang a little bit. Pickguard, locking tuners and good strings. Needed a setup and some minor fret work. Like how thin and light it is. Got it on sale for $130. Worth every penny and then some. Tons of fun to play. It's the cheapest guitar I have but I love it. Get one of those new Fender mustang micro guitar amps and a set of headphones with this guitar and you're good to go.
@@carpathus I would honestly just turn this guitar into a metal machine lol
I own an black one and modded the shit out of it. Amber tint on the neck, tortoise pickguard, toronado string through bridge. Hot strat pickup in the neck position, tonerider generator in the bridge position. Cts pots. It's grungemaster distortion king. I found the tuners to be OK on mine. They turn evenly and hold tune. Nut is fine too. Everyone who loves guitars really should own one of these!
So buy guitar for 150$ and spend 3x more for parts to make it completely different guitar. If i had money for it, i would just spend it all on better guitar
Thanks for the walk through. Beautiful guitar!
Great deep dive as usual. Cheers Landon
Love mine. Steel wool over the fingerboard and oil afterwards takes care of a good bit of the scratchiness. Didn't change anything other than the strings. I put 10 gauge acoustic strings on it. Weird , I know , but they work . Gives it a bit of a flatwound tone and they stay in tune real well. Run it straight through a Fishman Loudbox Mini. Great tone. Played a gig with it earlier this evening. You can definitely tell it's cheap when you play it but it really is a good guitar.
cool thanks for sharing!
Mustang. My first and only electric guitar I have ever owned. First one I got was a fender in 1992. At that point I was into the grunge scene and of course, Kurt Cobain, of nirvana, influenced me alot (musically at least). Got into guitar years before but finally got an electric and it was a mustang. Still have it, beautiful guitar.
very cool! what colours did they offer back then?
@@landonbailey well when I got mine it was blue. But I didn't really like the color so I sanded it down and painted it olive green although now it is a bit faded. Still sounds great. The pickups are still original and so are the tuners. I did however switch out the pots and jack as those got a bit rusty from gigging.
Thanks for the deep dive on this. My nephew has a way budget guitar(hand me down) from his older sister. Ugh! I'm on a pension now and since he is 11 I think the S would be a perfect size for him. Thank you!
@@fillingsauce7130 Sanding a blue guitar to turn it into an olive green one? You've got good taste, man. đ
I'm going to buy soon.these conversations made me high.thank you friends. God bless
Love the intro/guitar from the ceiling type shot!
it just fell into place
I got so invested in these videos I nearly forgot to leave a comment. I love how you're handling these videos and it's so easy to fall in. I think we'll need a little more manpower to reach 6mil likes tho.
This guitar is sooooooo epic man
What I think is really cool with Squier is the fact that you can have a good entry level/beginner instrument, it's totally playable. And you can take the time to learn what you don't like on the instrument and upgrade it. And great looking guitars too !
Just found your channel a couple weeks ago. Itâs nice to finally see someone talking about guitars in my price range lol
Love your deep dive videos.
oh I want that guitar so bad

Love the look inside too. Thanks
Iâd throw some hipshot tuners on that and Iâd be good with it as is.
I'd like to see that guitar in my room! đ
Love the honest deep dives. Helps me stay informed
cheers!
Nice review! I like your videos đđŒ
Just a thought... maybe the time to peel the plastic from the pick guard was after you'd removed the screws?
it would ruin my editing process

So one day I realized I had a spare 2018ish Duo-Sonic 24" scale neck lying around, and also a set of Player series Tele HH electronics, so I put it all together on one of these Bullet Mustangs, and it turned out pretty damn great!
I did have body thickness issues; I had to dremel all the way to the paint in order to fit the full size pots and switches from the tele, and I had to dremel the pickguard to fit the pickups and make a slot for the tele 3 way switch.
Later, I needed the Duo-Sonic neck, so I ended up putting the original mustang neck on it and rounded the board, polished and rounded the frets, and conditioned (well attempted to) the board and it actually plays really nice now. Sounds really good too.
Great deep dive!
Nice demo! Squier is really nailing it right now.
Agreed!
Sounds amazing man
That finish is beautiful!!!!
Sounds really good Rob
Always enjoy you deep dives answer questions before I can ask thank you
I got mine a few weeks ago after watching your first impressions video and I love it! I did get the strings replaced, though
Saw this video when you put it up last night, had to rewatch to make sure that you have a good opinion on the playability.
Iâve never had an experience with a mustang but the sound is really good. Great reviewđ€©
Great configuration ! đđ
Beautiful guitar. Love the review
Fantastic bridge pickup, love the guitar.
Rock on!
Have an older one, came with buzzy treble strings in the upper register, a good set up and new strings. It's a nice light, easy to play and fun guitar. Great for beginners, smaller frame adults and those of us with dreadnought shoulder from big acoustic and jazz guitars.
Very interesting pick-ups and nice top-loader bridge! Also bet that shorter scale length feels nice
It was a Great Review! Very Useful! And your sense of humour!đđ
Love your 2 Cent Stang!!! For the $ I think it's a great starter. Love that finish. Sounds good too. Would be fun to own for sure! Great review as always Landon. Thank you!
Great in Dept video
Thanks Landon. Sweet Colour and Fair Quality for a Budget Guitar.
No problem!
Really love the look of this guitar and fret board looks amazing
Really awesome guitar for the price. Love itâs looks, especially the dark fret board on the blue color. Also it sounds pretty good đđ»
Love that color. Such a nice guitar đ
Thanks Landon. A good, fun, informative, no BS review. Love the sparkly blue finish, the pick-ups sound good and I'm a sucker for the offset shape. I never mind scratchy frets on a cheap guitar as you can play them smooth and cheap electronics can be upgraded if need be. Can't remember what you said about the tuners, but I'm might have missed it. Definitely sparked my jnterest
Thanks for the deep dive. Iâm torn on Harley Bentonâs and Squireâs versions of similar models. Your videos are helpful.
Great review!! I absolutely love cheap guitars, especially squiers â€ïž
Nice deep dive into a nice deep blue guitar !!
Saw the 60 cycle hum video on this guitar a while back, this one definitely sealed the deal on how much I adore this guitar!
Cool guitar !! Love your videos Landon!!
Thanks!!
I love the color. Sounds good too.
itâs amazing how good inexpensive guitars have gotten these days! of course it has its flaws, but a little elbow grease can help most of them. most of the time a good fret polish and truss rod adjustment does the trick
I really am loving this video
You do a hell of a in depth review! Most reviews just play a couple clean and dirty tones. You pull the beast apart.
This looks great đ !
Love the color and you canât beat the price!
