Good footage. Well-narrated. Thanks for keeping it real showing the homeless by the methadone clinic. Mixing running/biking/swimming footage with local scenery is the move. A lot of times it is just looking at a biker's ass, or a runner's spinning legs. But here, you're like a tour guide and triathlete in one. Fusion, Ari, fusion. I've never been to VBC so I really appreciate it.

Awesome, looks like a great weekend. I live in Canada and have been to Victoria only a couple times in my 50+ year life (and we are not that far away in Calgary). Looks very nice and all the bike lanes look great. I look forward to your next race and hopefully the training is coming along well.

Yo I'm from Victoria, loved this video. I want to make a similar trip to your end of the world to ride Hurricane Ridge. Any other cool rides or runs you can suggest?
Hurricane ridge is a nice ride. Me and a buddy just did it two weeks ago.
Never done Hurricane Ridge but it's a bucket list climb. There's a lot of really good trail running and riding east of Seattle. Also need to make it up to Mt. Baker area, Artist Point bike ride is another bucket list one.
Was that Craigdaroch Castle or Hatley? Hatley has been the location of many movies/TV shows including X Men and Smallville.
For hills, check out Mt. Doug!
The cycling infrastructure has vastly improved since I was there in the 70s-90s.
It was Hatley. Not surprised they used it, I thought the gardens were spectacular. Castle exterior wasnt too shabby either, didnt get to go inside since it was closed when we went.
Rumor is you're toeing the line somewhere tomorrow. If true, then glgl!

Featherweight Eclipse! Can only be purchased through the Featherweight Bikes instagram page by DMing the owner. My bike would run you ~$6k from a big brand but Featherweight does it for ~$4k. Phenomenal bike. As good as anything I've ridden.
