The only problem I have with this is when walking around the main hall, it sounds like you're walking out in space and is all muffled

I had just added 1 room to my freighter, then I reset it. I didn't quite get it when I first watched this video, but after the reset, it makes total sense. Glad I have not built too much, I'm gonna' reset now and start over. Thank you.
Just updating, I have two saves and build 2 freighters out with briefing rooms, sick bay, mess hall, living quarters hall, science lab, engine bay. You really brought my freighter bases to next level and really with an imagination the sky is the limit

Thank you so much. I just used this video to re-design a variation on your design for my freighter (the outer "wings" of my entire freighter build were already built-in with gardens of Gravitino Hosts all the way to the back engines that I didn't want to tear out & re-plant...otherwise, I'm following your design pretty much to the letter, although I may go to 3-4 floors if I find a use for them.

I found that the pill lights work pretty well and cover the ceiling in the round lights

I lowered the floors and now it is awesome. I am building a Shadowrun Style Cyberpunk City on my Freighter.
Takes a lot of time to glitch build all not all but mostly what i want and not what the game offers ; )

I've always been concerned that I was going to hit the build limit in freighters because there's simply no way to figure out it's size, doing this actually looks like a great way to start a base since you can really visualize it. Is the space you have access to the same size for each freighter?
Having owned three of them, as far as i can tell the buildable area appears to be the same, although this is only my opinion, not at all scientifically tested.

Is there a way to avoid big lighting effects from the system's star in big multi floored rooms ? I can't get myself to finish my freighter base because of how annoying this is

I wish we had the option to remove walls on rooms you would have a much better look
Patch 3.99 has brought placeable walls so am gonna have a play around see what they can do

My question is, did some happen with the stairs cause mines doesn’t stay open like in the video they get closed like corridor it’s bother the design only way I can access them is by putting a door😩

Yes. If you rebuild their station they are not there but when you activate it they reappear

When i build the whole thing, i still keep hearing the loud noisy footsteps of the boots on the floor. Im guessing this is because there's a gap under the staircase that leads to the ships outside... Is this the intention? I dont like it when i hear the feetsteps.

How do you get that zoomed out camera view to build? I can get it no propmlem for taking photos, but for building?
I am on ps4 so for me its a click of the L3 button when in build mode, am not sure what the corresponding buttons are for other platforms, hope this helps :)

Are the exterior platforms new to the game?
As of the endurance update yes, you buy them with salvage frigate modules from the center consol of your freighter :)
I haven't played it in over a year, so when I got back.. all my slopes up to upper floors had been replaced with these AWFUL ladders which takes ages to scale. What a down grade. I don't see how the Devs thought that removing parts would be a good idea. I spent over 5000 tritium making my upper level farms. I can obtain the legacy parts, but the slopes are not part of any of the tabs now. Gone! But at least it isn't so dark like the new rubbish is! lol
And STILL.. you can't sell/profit from taking C-Class frigates & upgrading them to S-Class! No! You can sell ships but not frigates! You can "Dismiss" them! Ha ha! Yeah.. all that money & time.. down the drain! But what is the point of the game once you get everything in S-Class?! Sigh.
Also.. you can't have more than ONE Freighter! WTSF?! WOOT?! WHY? They've added Squadrons - another underwhelming add-on. But after over a year I was expecting so much more than just endless nexus missions & a few new thumbnails for the elements & new "Rooms" for everything when you used to able to just plonk shops & refiners where ever you wanted. Such a let down man.

Call me a critic, but... before I even watch your video... the audio normalization is complete garbage. My neighbors shouldn't have to hear your intro just so I can quadruple the volume to hear your voice clearly at all. For reals.
