Imho the glitch placement is what free placement should be, except for plants. It's better to press the toggle wire mode key first before the placement key/click. If you press/click placement key slightly too early, you get stuck with a wire you need to remove.

All of those key/button combinations look like the perfect opportunity to use macros [PC]. Just bind each glitch type/button combo to whatever macro key/mouse button you want.
Wow....Someone built the Enterprise NCC-1701 !!!!!!! Have a sub bub.. NGL, I love glitching stuff in games.. Been glitching Fallout 4 since day one, and NMS has a similar feel with the reloads, glitches, etc. A free game, within the game.
Good luck! 😊 All glitches still work - although timing does change every update. For the Cache Pin Glitch, you do need to make sure you have empty slots in your Inventory now - this seems to be something new.

I have not tested the max limit on a Freighter, building wise. According to the files, The freighter does not have the 3000 upload limit, as a freighter base does not need uploading to the NMS server - but the parts do count towards the 16K build-limit per save.
As a side note, I have since Planted 5,200 plants, 75 Stellar Extractors, plus other stuff on my freighter, over 8 Floors. Seems like a lot of stuff. Thanks again.
For the reverse wire it's easier to use X+A on switch, literally press them together Its super fast when you have to glitch a bunch of part; just build a solar array and aligned a bunch batteries

I'm not sure if anyone has already discussed this since I don't really follow the news about the game, but I hope everyone agrees that the build system is a disaster. I've abandoned so many constructions because of it, it's incredibly frustrating.
Is there a way to snap a scaled item to a specific location? Say you already have wires set up to get the center of a floor. Can I snap an upscaled supply depot to that wire? It seems to reset the size to normal when snapping.
There is no Fixed Snappoint options for scaling. You can try to lay out Alloy floors and use the center marker for precision, but that's about it so far.
Is there any way to do a scaling glitch on the freighter that works for all items? For exmaple the terrairum doesnt work with the adjacency glitch because the pocket reality generator can neither be scaled :(
How quick do you have to be for the wire glitch? Im trying to do it now but wither im too fast or too slow? To hit it. I do as you said and give priority to ∆ (im on playstation) but it still ahows as red when it swaps. Also it still works as i was able to pull it off a few times just super inconsistently......
I think you might be too slow then... The delay between buttons is really short, almost as if you press them together. I know it can be frustrating, I had a lot of trouble with it the first times I tried and learned it.. Once you get the cadence, you will be unstoppable. 😊
The Q+C for the universal wire glitch does nothing. I even set up a macro that executes the presses in only 5ms. It'll flip to wire mode, or edit mode, but not 'both'.

Lol, I am not. As there are no Scalable parts in the list where the Garage door is, the Adjacency glitch will not allow Scaling. You can however use either the Scaling techniques I shared in this guide. 😊

There are ways to use a Macro for each of these glitches. I used to use my Razer Central to create the macros, but since Frontiers, I never really needed them anymore.

Biodomes that are scaled larger than 3x - have been scaled up by using a modded wire. If you have a Friend who plays on PC, they can place a 10x Scaled wire for you on your base, which you then can use to scale more.
It still works.. I had some similar issues before when trying it out. If you are on Console, there was a bug with the controls, that broke this glitch, so this should now be fixed. But here are a few other things you should take in account now: 1) Be sure you have the materials to build your cache-pinned part 2) Make sure your inventory is not full.
@@Beeblebum Do you know of a way to delete cache-pinned bulkhead doors outside of freighters? I tried to force a connection to delete the railing on a catwalk by placing a bulkhead door first... but it didn't work, and now the bulkhead door cannot be deleted. Any suggestions?
Pretty ridiculous that we need to find these silly workarounds, when the game already allows elaborate things to be built. The devs should just rework the construction tools with options like part clipping etc.
Honestly I think if we were able to do this kind of stuff by default it would be too complicated of a system for most players. The intended system wasn't designed for players to build massive ultra complex works of art, it was designed for players to build simple, decent looking structures they can call home while they play the rest of the game. Besides, I actually think these obtuse glitch building techniques make building more fun and rewarding; it's like a mini puzzle game.
I beg to differ. The ability for the game to do what it does in terms building mechanics had to be programmed in there. One letter or number out of place and the program breaks. They programmed some cool some game mechanics but got lazy with programing user friendly control mechanisms on some of them. OR, they are unforeseen code interactions that can be exploited, in which case they got lazy and failed to remove them. @@dommorris8163
No offense to you and this is a great video but.... Hello games should just put all of this in the game. As a community, can't we petition them? Let them know we all want this kind of flexibility in the building? I am sure they would listen.
It will never happen - While HG has been adding newer build features to improve and versify Vanilla Building, there are 2 reasons why Glitch Building can not become a Official part of the game: 1) People don't know when to stop - If building like glitch building would be easy, players would overdo it and crash their games all the time. The steep learning curve and challenge puts a buffer to avoid this. 2) Many of the Glitch techniques are not possible to add as a normal feature - and even if they did, glitch builders would always push the Envelope - which creates a never ending loop of other players wishing for it to become vanilla.
Although it's a good video, what these youtube video makers don't tell you is that you need not bother trying this on PC. This works only on consoles because they are slow and crappy. On PC you only have a chance to get this done with an automated macro and even then it's hit or miss. The best macro I've been able to make so far has about a 20% success rate.
I am building on PC.. this was also recorded on PC. However, I am using a controller, because I simply find it easier to glitch build. There are however several PC glitch builders using M/K - and Yes.. I am impressed they manage.
Dude idk what im doing wrong but I set up my wire scaffolding exactly how you do at 13:30 but when you place the floor at 13:32 its perfectly 45 angled, but when I do the Q+left mouse wire glitch in the exact same scenario, it works, but my floor placement isnt at 45, matter of fact its like I can move it anywhere around the middle spot of the wire, making me have to line it up myself, which is not possible in my case as im trying to make a pyramid and need it to snap exactly 45 like it does for you, but for me it just fiddles around following my mouse and then I can place it however i want to? what am i doing wrong

Hey Uzi, I am not entirely sure what issues you have. From what I understand, you are able to glitch the floor on the angled connection, but the Floor is not angled in a 45 degree. But after that it is not clear what you are trying to explain. If your floor does not follow the 45degree, then perhaps you connected your horizontal wire in the wrong sequence? Also noob tip for anyone who wants to do the wire glitch perfectly every time, what I did was make an AHK script that pressed Q and Left mouse button at the same time for me whenever I click F1, makes it so much easier to do your desired building!
I love that the devs don't patch this stuff.
I just wish they could make snapping work like it should. We shouldn't have to resort to this shit.

I do explain the Universal Adjacency Glitch, later in this guide, which allows you to scale ANYTHING. 😊
The thing I miss is being able to clip the primitive pyramid objects together. Now they don't even interact together.

We shouldn't have to do this. The devs should make the damn building system much more robust. Give us a satisfactory style "nudge" tool/keys too.

Can you use ultimate scaling glitch and wire glitch to put like 30 silos in the same spot but smaller?
There is (currently) no way to scale glitch into a fixed position, as soon a build part snaps, it reverts to its original scale.

Question: I have seen 10 times larger Bio Domes than 3x upscaled...there seems to be a method to infinite resize? Any Ideas?

Pretty ridiculous that we need to find these silly workarounds, when the game already allows elaborate things to be built. The devs should just rework the construction tools with options like part clipping etc.

Honestly I think if we were able to do this kind of stuff by default it would be too complicated of a system for most players. The intended system wasn't designed for players to build massive ultra complex works of art, it was designed for players to build simple, decent looking structures they can call home while they play the rest of the game. Besides, I actually think these obtuse glitch building techniques make building more fun and rewarding; it's like a mini puzzle game.
I beg to differ. The ability for the game to do what it does in terms building mechanics had to be programmed in there. One letter or number out of place and the program breaks. They programmed some cool some game mechanics but got lazy with programing user friendly control mechanisms on some of them. OR, they are unforeseen code interactions that can be exploited, in which case they got lazy and failed to remove them. @@dommorris8163

No offense to you and this is a great video but.... Hello games should just put all of this in the game. As a community, can't we petition them? Let them know we all want this kind of flexibility in the building? I am sure they would listen.
It will never happen - While HG has been adding newer build features to improve and versify Vanilla Building, there are 2 reasons why Glitch Building can not become a Official part of the game: 1) People don't know when to stop - If building like glitch building would be easy, players would overdo it and crash their games all the time. The steep learning curve and challenge puts a buffer to avoid this. 2) Many of the Glitch techniques are not possible to add as a normal feature - and even if they did, glitch builders would always push the Envelope - which creates a never ending loop of other players wishing for it to become vanilla.

Although it's a good video, what these youtube video makers don't tell you is that you need not bother trying this on PC. This works only on consoles because they are slow and crappy. On PC you only have a chance to get this done with an automated macro and even then it's hit or miss. The best macro I've been able to make so far has about a 20% success rate.
I am building on PC.. this was also recorded on PC.
However, I am using a controller, because I simply find it easier to glitch build.
There are however several PC glitch builders using M/K - and Yes.. I am impressed they manage.
I hope these bugs get patched soon because I can't bother learning to exploit them.😊
Dude idk what im doing wrong but I set up my wire scaffolding exactly how you do at 13:30 but when you place the floor at 13:32 its perfectly 45 angled, but when I do the Q+left mouse wire glitch in the exact same scenario, it works, but my floor placement isnt at 45, matter of fact its like I can move it anywhere around the middle spot of the wire, making me have to line it up myself, which is not possible in my case as im trying to make a pyramid and need it to snap exactly 45 like it does for you, but for me it just fiddles around following my mouse and then I can place it however i want to? what am i doing wrong

Hey Uzi, I am not entirely sure what issues you have.
From what I understand, you are able to glitch the floor on the angled connection, but the Floor is not angled in a 45 degree. But after that it is not clear what you are trying to explain.
If your floor does not follow the 45degree, then perhaps you connected your horizontal wire in the wrong sequence?

Also noob tip for anyone who wants to do the wire glitch perfectly every time, what I did was make an AHK script that pressed Q and Left mouse button at the same time for me whenever I click F1, makes it so much easier to do your desired building!
