    Hi everyone!
This is my walkthrough of the new Traktor Kontrol X1 mk2 controller from Native Instruments.
It's designed to work seamlessly Traktor Pro, but can also be used with Serato Scratch Live or any other software that accepts midi control input.
To use the X1 mk2 natively with Traktor you'll need to install the 2.6.3 upgrade of the software, and after that it should work straight away.
Where possible I've captured the screens on my computer to give you a proper close-up look at what's going on when you hook the Kontrol X1 mk2 up to your software.
    ________________________________
HUGE thanks to www.decks.co.uk for hooking me up with the demo Kontrol X1 mk2 unit that I used for the video. They are the UK's leading supplier of DJ and studio gear, and if you have any equipment needs they are definitely the crew to speak to.

Tracks used (in order of appearance):
Warling - On Your Side featuring Karly Willis (Ronnie Maze Remix)
    Jeremus - Boomerang (Remix Set)

Hi djdunods, yes you can change tempo, I forgot to mention it in the video! The change is done with various combinations of holding down the Sync button and turning the loop knob on each deck.

    What’s up Mojaxx
First of all, keep the videos and content coming! I find all of your DJcity and this channels content highly informative and you have a clear and simple way of explaining the kit your using.
I bought one of these to amp up my setup which was primarily a pair of 1210s so I added and X1 to avoid forking out hundreds on a pair of cdj2000s. I don’t suppose you have had much experience with remapping the X1 so it’s a bit more ‘user friendly’ or Personalised to a individuals workflow?
    Peace

    Hi,
Being late to the scene ( coming from 1210s) and wanting to move to a pure NI portable setup I'm looking at the X1 + Audio2dj coupled with my MacBook.
Question: Can I assign a crossfade or channel faders with the X1 stand alone + the Audio2?
If not, then can I use the crossfader and channel faders with decksA+B on the X1?
    Thanks lots.

    Hello!
I'd like to know if I can still assign/map specific knobs to other parameters? Like for example, I'd assign the top most knobs to the vertical volume faders of traktors deck A and deck B.
    Is this possible?
    Thanks NI.

    Nice video!
I have a question for you!
I am considering buying one of these, however, im not a big fan of auto syncing etc. I have a pair of 1210's with traktor scratch pro 1, I enjoy mixing my tunes as id they where records using pitch on the decks etc.
The only uses i can see on the Kontroller are the effects, and i like the jog wheel for track selection (Instead of using the pc mouse)
I can see you have decks, do you think its worth getting one of these for the money?
    Cheers

Thanks! I forgot to mention it in the video, but you can adjust the bpm by holding down the Sync button and turning the loop knob. Pushing down the knob at the same time does it in greater increments, and holding sync and pushing the loop knob down without turning resets the pitch to zero; that will be very handy for me using DVS.
