I haven't tried Spencer Ogg patterns, but I love the idea of having a review on a pattern. It helps us decide whether we want to buy the pattern and help with what material choices we should make.

I finished two of these this morning and I love this pattern! Will definitely make more. It’s very easy to follow, I used quilting cotton throughout and with woven interfacing and decovil it feels really sturdy and well structured but nice and light :-)

Love this type of video. I'm so bad at picking interfacing etc so hearing your mistakes and 'would dos' is great 😍

Hi Lauren! Thanks for doing this review. I've purchased a few too many patterns, (purse, bags, wallets and garment) only to hate the end product and sometimes the process. I make necessary adjustments and always wish there had been a review on this pattern before I bought it. Looking forward to your video on this wallet.

I actually purchased this pattern over the weekend Lauren , you were reading my mind. I just made her first regular sized wallet one that is not accordion and the instructions were so well written so I decided on this pattern. Thanks for your video on the interfacing suggestions!

Hi Lauren, Love your version of the accordion wallet :-) I have just made it, I used all quilting cottons and it turned out really nice. I'm a beginner wallet maker so appreciate tutorials like Dianes from Spencer Ogg, I'm looking forward to your next version. Thank you for posting. I have put a pic of it on my IG which is sewfifty.

Oh ya, when I made the Worsley wallet I used vinyl for the gussets and learned the hard way that I need to stick to the cotton fabric.

Thank you for this information. I have a habit of picking out the wrong fabrics and or interfacing.

A clear vinyl id pocket on the back would be useful....I think.

Love your's! I made one too all in quilting cotton and want to try laminated cotton next. Did you stop and have a cup of tea and chocolate digestive biscuit as instructed?! Such a genius pattern!

I have made one, but it was before I had my industrial machine. So I had trouble sewing the zipper pocket to side gussets. But I will definitely make another.

Yes, Diane designed it for easy construction for domestic machines.

I think using the waterproof fabric for the zipper pocket and cotton for the exterior would be better. Coin pockets tend to get dirty so with the WP lining it can be wiped clean.

Ya, I also got the pattern it's a great size to go with purses I make. They do have a video on it and worns against using heavy materials at first but I would have done the same! Lol.

Thanks for posting this! love honest videos like this. Curious: What do you do with items like this that don't turn out completely or when you're just trying out a pattern?
