Please help me with the boxing of the corners. They never come out Even. I have to keep redoing them, so the bag is not lopsided. What is the trick to doing them right and easy. Thank you.

@@margaretbachmeier5299 It might be easier to think of the corner like.........when you fold it to the point, right down the middle seam measure 1/2" down and draw you line across. it is the same as the other method, but instead of trying to keep a 1" on each side,. you just measure Down 1/2" and mark across. maybe that will help.

I knew there had to be a better way of boxing those corners. I made a small bag earlier, same design but from another channel. I got totally flustered when she cut the corners *before* stitching. I like this way much better. I think the key is to use thin lining fabric so those corners aren't too bulky.

I'm starting a small sewing/knitting/needlecraft class for the local community at Hope St, my local social services joint. Needless to say, there isn't much $$$ for fabric, so this tutorial and many others on your channel are a godsend for me as they don't use much fabric and I can source them from scraps from Hope St's op-shop. Indeed, your tutorials are travelling from your place, to my place, and into the hands of the homeless and disenfranchised at Hope St in Woolloomooloo, Sydney Australia - so, thanks a million, Jess! And please keep the scrappy projects coming! ;-)

Having made a few now, I have developed these preferences: One, I prefer iron-on woven interfacing over the batting, but still use batting sometimes. Two, I cut the batting or interfacing 1/2" shorter than the outer fabric, leaving 1/4" at each zipper end without interfacing, so when I sew the zipper, there is not a double layer of the interfacing. Three, before turning (after stitching both ends) I trim the corners of the lining/interfacing (which I generally don't do) so that when I box the corners there isnt so much bulk in there. Four, instead of the bracelets from Claire's (I already had a stash of these for another purpose) I find I prefer keyring coils. I have two good sources for them and can get them in many colors. These IBBBs have become an actual addition for me! Can't quit making them! Will you be starting a support group?

Made this watching the video once then replaying it while making it, and it turned out pretty much perfect the first time, this was a great easy tutorial to follow. Thank you, my kid loves it. I used medium weight non woven interfacing just attaching with a basting stitch then removed it when the seams were sewn in. That is what I had in hand.Very easy and fun 👍

I love these itty bitties. I have made several and gifted them to my granddaughers who use them on their back packs and sport bags. I make mine from left over quilt blocks. I have a box of rogue blocks and if a block isn't quite big enough I just add some borders to it.
