I mean, I heared the phrase "If I had a nickel" or something like that before, but as an european, I can't link it to anything.

I couldn’t agree more! I believe this was actually my favorite Hot Ones episode. My wife and I just finished Uncoupled on Netflix as well and we can’t wait for season 2! Highly recommend it

Just binged a whole bunch of episodes and it's really a testament to the research team when you see when a guest really appreciates a question. They bring up some obscure project or factoid and you see the guest just light up.
Did not know his natural voice is so low. He always adopted a higher pitch on shows he’s acted in or presented.

He had a crazy past. He really showed up like a hero in this.
I was lucky to meet him in person last year. He his husband and a big group of (non famous) people hang out all together during his vacations. Guy is really humble and extremely funny. Very polite and never acts like a prima dona that is all about the fame.
The fact that he paraphrase quotes Madeline Kahn in Clue is epic. NPH is a national treasure.
You could tell from his eyes that Neil was really feeling the heat the last few wings, but he remained perpetually composed, polite, kind and respectful as always!

You can tell that they're not even thinking about plugging what they're there to promote anymore - the experience they just had with Sean was so personal, so transformative, that promoting something might just sour the whole thing.

NPH. What a guy. I've been watching him since Doogie. Always been incredibly entertaining and most importantly, down to Earth. He genuinely seems grateful for what he has in life and it's refreshing for someone who is as super famous as he has been for decades.
He is so pleasant. Some people are exciting and fun and rock out! and that's great but it can be tiring. This is relaxing soothing calm wholesome joy, it's pleasant. So so pleasant. I could watch NPH any day of the week in any mood I love him so much!

One thing I appreciate about Neil is that here in this interview, it doesn't feel like I'm watching a "celebrity". He seems so down to earth, humble, just being himself, not a wacky zany version of himself trying to entertain. He most certainly is a celebrity, a legen... wait for it... dary one at that. But he doesn't give off "I'm famous look at me" vibes. He was so pleasant all throughout, and made it so pleasant to watch. Thank you Neil! Thank you Sean!

As someone who cannot stand eating noises i have to credit the audio team of this show of how they’ve managed to keep out all the nasty eating noises without anyone noticing at all. Fan since the first episode and not once had i felt like i need to not watch with headphones on. Cheers!

I feel like How I Met Your Mother would’ve lasted maybe 2 seasons without him making it amazingly interesting…a great actor.
Barney stinson was basically our friend groups mentor (boys in puberty amirite?) the writers and harris outdid themselves almost every episode

Count Olaf is supposed to be terrifying in the books, and NPH can't pull that off.
Not his fault the character was written that way in the series, but I honestly think he could never portray an accurate portrayal of the Count

I love how this show almost forces the celebs to be their real, authentic selves rather than the mask of who they are during regular interviews. It helps the audience to get to know them on a more personal level. It's an interview unlike any other. Brilliant :)
I think Sean explained that somewhere in the first few seasons. People tend to have to think of their facades or little lies. But the pain of the hot sauce completely breaks their typical focus and are more willing to give real details
Neil has always seemed authentic - to me - but true regardless. ☺️

@david spiral that’s so cool dude how is it interviewing celebs. I want to make a channel where celebs can be themselves and answer personal questions without being judge because their life is on display but there’s a lot we can learn from what they know and how they came up. Love it!
@@bambamxdrip1933 I co-host a show called the Reality Escape Pod. We interview creators of all sorts of immersive games, puzzles, and escape rooms.
NPH is by far the most famous guest we've had on. He made a game called Box One, so we explored that with him.
Most of our guests tend to be very skilled, but only known within their niche.
I love interviewing people, and putting in the work to prompt them with questions that help them feel comfortable and open up about the things they are great at.
The joy Sean got from that magic trick was so pure 😂

Easily one of the best guests yet in terms of handling the heat, staying focused on the questions, and proactively engaging Sean. I like too how he sets the stage, by suggesting that he loves Mexican food... but doesn't seek heat. You almost expect that he will bag it half-way through. But he totally bangs it. Perfect theater.
