About to head to COSTCO to replace... decided to see if there is a common easy fix. WOW.. one of those little dish sponges with one abrasive side. Damp with some Baking soda ... a vigorous rub... PRESTO !! Thank you for locating the source.
I had no idea. I would have wasted money on a whole new one if this was mine, now I know better!

Thanks so much for this video. I'm gonna replace this on the old mic and hope it was the only issue. The mic wasn't old but my daughter decided to clean it and I think she got that soaked and dirty. Great video!
