Welcome to Portugal. I hope you are happy in this little corner of Europe. We are a welcoming and humble people and we respect foreigners a lot. Greetings from Portugal.
I'm the happiest I've ever been. Portugal and its people are wonderful. Thank you for the kind message :)

Me too!! ❤Portugal
I'm so happy to see foreigners finally acknowledging the wonders of my country! Welcome! I hope you have a wonderful time in my city! Lisbon is a great city! I hope you can make the most of it!
Great video! Be sure to check your volume - it's low on your speaking videos, and you have a lot of important things to say.
We are moving for a lot of the same reasons. Will be there in just a couple weeks - can't wait!
How exciting! Good luck! i'm hoping to do the same but can't for at least a year.
@@spyhunter66 Great to hear ! Hope to see you in Portugal soon!
I couldn't hear sh...
Please higher the volume. Thanks for your video though. Wishing you the best.
It is good to hear that you have found your liberty. Anxiety is a terrible thing to experience. I wish you peace of mind.
Bem-vindo a Portugal! You’ll pickup the language in no time.
Enjoy your liberation my friend. You are very welcome and be happy.
In Portugal I feel freedom, contentment and such happiness!! Good luck to you and enjoy this fabulous country!!!❤Portugal
Love this so much! Thank you for posting!
My husband and I (and some of his family) are considering a move. I am mixed, his family is Haitian (and the most beautiful humans in the world). Several of us have mental health struggles so this is very encouraging. So many reasons to come and as time goes on, more and more reasons to leave. I don’t have kids, but if I did, the decision would be even easier. Good for you (and your son)! Hope to hear more from you. Be well!
Thank you for the comment, Kristiaan! And thank you for sharing about your family. Moving to another country is a huge decisions, so it's understandable that you're still in the consideration phase. Wishing you and yours the best in your decision making process.
I saw you on Driven Spice - glad you’re YouTubing. Thanks for the visa info, I’m a Cali woman too and am definitely moving my family abroad. However, I don’t live in Cali now but that will be my consulate office. The timing of everything seems to be tricky.
What a great video and I am so happy for you. Lisbon is my favorite city in the world! I can imagine that the fear as a parent that something really bad that could happen to your child based on his race, just doesn't exist as in Portugal as it does in the US. You are also giving your son the opportunity to experience and live in a wonderful and welcoming culture. Also, he probably has learned a lot of Portuguese in a year. How is that going for him? Your happiness effects your child too. Congrats for having the courage to pick up and make the move! So many people dream about living in another country but you did it.
You are awesome.
Totally understand your travails and tribulations in a society ridden with systemic racial prejudices and discrimination against the black community and why you feel
Liberated going to and living in Lisbon. Can’t wait to visit and tour Portugal, the people and culture are welcoming, simple and open. Best Wishes!!
You better say it Julie!!! Many of your reasons you wanted to leave the US are the same for me. I got to live outside of the continental US and the way of life was soo different and slower paced than in the US. People were definitely more community-oriented and thought about the collective of the people when certain things came about. But this was an awesome video Julie! Can’t wait to see more videos soon!!!
Aww thank you so much, Michael! You definitely know what I’m talking about. I bet Puerto Rico was incredible. Come to Portugal soon!!
@@BlackMomRainbowLife Yes Puerto Rico was, but can’t wait until I get to Portugal! Like why do there have to be so many obstacles?? Lmfaoo! In 2019 I had everything planned to and purchased to go then this pandemic hit and turned everything around. But I’m going, it’s in the works!
Is that a Bernie Sanders tshirt? 😆😊
Just saw you on Driven Spice’s channel. New sub. Hope to meet you one day in Portugal!;
Welcome to Portugal. We're happy to have you. Note: There are racists everywhere, and Portugal is no exception. But I think most of us are good people.
All is beter in Lisbon if you can aford it, injoy it if you can all the best for you happy new day xoxo
Thanks for sharing. We are planning to check out Portugal in a few months. BTW, you audio levels are a little too low.

All of the same reason I want to move.

Im in process now of thinking moving love vid
Could you speak up? I'm interested in what you have to say, but can't hear you very well. I have my volume on max.
Welcome, and i hope u ll be very happy here.
God bless you! YES! Liberation! I just retired, and I amd DONE with this US of A. Safety! A country where there are few guns instead of a country where there are more guns than people. I have free, high quality health care here in the US, and still, as a gay man I don't feel safe. The US has become something like the Twilight Zone for me. Just my feeling. Good for you. I'll be there to by the end of February, Covid permitting. Ugh! Cheers!
Do you have any plans to learn portuguese??
was it hard to learn portugese?
The volume is rather low for me. Is it just me?
❤️
😀
I really cannot hear you lol..
