I always had more confidence than most City fans that nothing was going to happen to Man City.
Why would you expect people who manage some of the biggest and most successful companies and have investments in most fortune 100 companies, to do amatuer mistakes when it comes to finances of one football club.

One thing that all fans especially other fans need to understand is what drives commercial revenue. In the main it isn’t number of fans it’s about the number of eyeballs. Tech companies measure how many second a sponsor is on screen (tv, online , you tube) they know the audience that’s watching, number and demographics, that creates the value and it comes from being in the biggest games with most viewers
It isn’t about number of fans - nexen don’t sponsor us to get city fans to buy tyres they do it for relationship reasons with the UAE etc and to get global brand exposure in target markets . They get that not because of the number of city fans but the number of people who watch the champions league or the Prem . The argument we have fewer fans is just a naive total misunderstanding of how the economics of sport works
200 million football fans watching a city premier league game is worth more to a business than 50 million Liverpool fans watching a Liverpool game.

I don't see how the PL can prove their case, but I do feel that alot of what we hear with regards to this or that charge being dropped, members of the club being confident etc. and the resulting confidence in the fanbase is reminiscent of Everton before they got done. Also, we heard similar stuff from itks prior to UEFA cases (long before CAS)
We should also be aware that the burden of proof in a civil case is much lower than a criminal case. Alot of fans seem to be under the impression that this case is akin to the latter rather than the former. The opposite is true.
That said, when we're cleared I'm getting a 115 tattoo!
