Marvel history is so closely linked to Captain America history that you can’t talk about Marvel Evolution without talking about Captain America evolution. The Captain America costume is one of the most iconic comic book costumes in the evolution of superheroes, and throughout the history of patriotic heroes, none have had more of an impact than Captain America. From his iconic Captain America costume and the Captain America shield, Captain America then and now has always been bigger than a superhero, he’s a symbol.
From the Captain America comics, the earlier Captain America movie, Captain America The First Avenger, Captain America The Winter Soldier, Captain America Civil War, Captain America Avengers, Captain America Age of Ultron, Captain America Infinity War and beyond, Captain America has been a keystone presence of the Marvel comics universe and the MCU. Then and now, Captain America Steve Rogers represents everything that makes the U.S. awesome. And with Avengers Infinity War in 2018, the MCU might be losing Chris Evan Captain America at the hands of the mad Titan Thanos. Still, no matter who wields the shield, Captain America and his classic costume will never yield.

The Age of Ultron suit is my favorite precisely because it finds that happy medium you mentioned. My question though is why people seem to dislike Secret Empire so much.

Tbh i think the stealh suit is the best suit because it seems like an actually suit a speical forces kinda person could wear but still having small nods to cap with bits of red . However, the age of ultron/civi war suit is nice having that comic bool feel but in the modern world.
KennyViTran The stealth suit is definitely the most realistic/functional, but the Age of Ultron suit keeps a lot of its strengths while also adding the Avengers symbol and the red, white, and blue. I like all of Cap's suits though (except for the one in The Avengers).

Makes me think..... what if Avengers 4 ends with Cap going back in time, living his life, keeping Shield from being infested by Hydra, forming an early Avengers team with Pym, Janet, and whoever else, then he becomes director of Shield in the new modern timeline. He would've recruited Sam and made him the new Captain America while he also would've known to save Bucky from the Hydra nutts.

I like the Ultimate Captain America suit as it still has the scales and fits the modernization of that comic line. I’m a fan of the grey parts and the stars on his shoulders. The First Avenger suit was based on it. I also like the Marvel Now suit as it combines “the Avengers” suit with the classic one.
I'd love to see Bucky take over as Cap. Falcon is an established hero in his own right at this point in the MCU, while all Bucky's done is die in WWII, be evil for a few decades, and hide in Wakanda. He's not known, and could easily step in to fill Steve's shoes. Plus the mask and costume could help hide his identity as the guy who terrorized D.C. a few years back.
The stars and bars is the nickname for the first national flag of the Confederacy. Come to think of it, an alternate reality Cap'n Confederacy would be pretty cool.

I know you probably didn't think too hard about this but... yes. Bucky is a sidekick to Cap, but Falcon was not Cap's "sidekick". He was his PARTNER

My favorite Suit is the one form age of ultron
I predict that if Cap bites it in Infinity War, Hawkeye will be the new cap. This is precisely why Hawkeye isn't in any of the promotional material. Best. Twist. Ever. Also, they will CGI a moustache on Jeremy Renner, just because. And it will look horrible.

Too many people think he’s going to die and the trailer made it look like that, it’s too obvious if he is going to die, so I’d like to think he isn’t but won’t be surprised if he does die, honestly.

I don't want Cap to die in infinity War but if he was I want Bucky to be distraught and grab caps shield in a fit of rage and charge at Thanos taking his arm off. He looks to the fallen gauntlet and realises he could've saved Steve. His eyes turn orange as if the eternal flames have been raised in his body and he pierces Thanos in the chest with the Vibranium shield shouting "It Always Ends In A Fight!" And there credits start rolling and you have to wait for the next avengers movie to see what happened and how everything has been different. Tony is no longer bringing the party to anyone, he is fuelled on rage. Falcon sees his job as so much more what he does makes a difference and that's what people never saw. Finally it cuts to Bucky as he stands over Caps old outfit tear running down his face, he smacks the wall next to it "you were a good soldier Steve. Had it not been for Tony we could have become the Howling Commandos...again..." *fades to black* *opens again with a picture of Bucky in a new version of caps suit similarly to his Hydra outfit but with black added and behind is Falcon in a so called stealth suit with others* the sole reason Steve died was because Tony drew a wedge between the Avengers. Without that wedge they still would be a team but now you have the Avengers and The Howling Commandos. This would conclude how I would handle Steve Rogers Death.

So I gotta ask, why do you guys hate Secret Empire aside from the fact that captain America was turned into a hydra agent by red skull via the cosmic cube? It was super obvious classic cap was gonna comeback because that’s comics for ya. It’s actually a great story featuring a battle of two philosophies over freedom vs security almost like the original Civil War comics. I think y’all are just hating on it because the “internet” hates it.

CandyIsGood - Gaming Channel everyone knew that cap wasn't gonna stay evil, so any drama there was in finding out someone you trusted for years was evil was massively dilluted. It was pointless, and kinda offensive.

If anyone replaces Cap in the films, I think it’ll have to be Falcon, I think Bucky has redeemed himself but not enough to dawn the red white and blues.
I hope that if cap dies then Spider Man would take up the uniform. I know that there's no evidence and that Spider Man is leaning more to the Iron Spider side of things, but at least it would make for one really awesome looking costume.

I do like the avengers suit for Captain America. Not necessarily the look, it could have certainly looked better. But the costume looks really bright, like Cap's stage costume that he wears with the singing ladies. And since Coulson made it he probably based it on the look of his vintage Captain America cards or the old stage costume.
