    The easiest way to peel back the paper from the backing is to lay the paper DOWN on a table, pull the edges apart and fold back about 2" and crease it so you can THEN take it to the window and place it on to get started.

    Thank you for doing this video. I've read several articles on how but seeing it done is much better. I'm about to do this on my girls windows, the master bath window and my French doors. Now that being said. Can you see the stencils from the outside? I would think yes. Can you use acrylic paint instead of a paint pen? I like the monochromatic look but have a feeling my girls would like to use their own creativity when it comes to their bedroom windows. One loves flamingos the other unicorns. Could you use sayings on this as well?

    • @Poppyjuice

    • @scootchieandboo7475
      @scootchieandboo7475 Před 2 lety +2

      Hey not to butt in but I've been doing this a very long time and for the sake of your window ( if it's a rental or a good ever window) I wouldn't put that solid contact paper on the window, not just because it looks odd from outside but the solid vinyl uses a different adhesive that will be discolored by sunlight and the paper degrades, chips, and damages the glass clarity, I'm speaking from experience and a very expensive mistake

  • @honeymaru68
    @honeymaru68 Před rokem +1

    It's interesting that it actually sticks onto wet window cleaner. So, it takes one day for it to dry? And then the contact paper is sticking to the window?!

    • @Poppyjuice
      @Poppyjuice  Před rokem +1

      I think because you are squeezing the window cleaner out for the most part, It's not super wet right after the process. But letting it rest for a day allow allows it to cure. And yes, it sticks to the window after that. It's also fairly easy to remove just by peeling it.. Probably not great for a kid's room if they will pick at it 🤣

    • @Poppyjuice

      l.m. Getz of course the window was cleaned first. This just seems like common sense. I have always used Windex rather than soapy water and never had any difficulties. With cling window film, for example the kind that you use to darken your windows, I would use soapy water. But the ConTact adhesive brand liner does very well with Windex.
