    Love it, I have been doing the faux glass but was looking to do clings. Less shape restrictive and you dont have to worry about the glass.🥰

    Just got to love those happy accidents. This is a great crafts to do with some older children. I don't see myself putting window clings up anytime soon I've kind of gone beyond that and I don't really decorate for holidays anymore but if I had kids I would

      Absolutely 😆 and I agree, these were testers. I have something big in mind with this technique that might be more useful for us adults. That's also coming shortly. I don't want to give too much away and spoil it. Lol 🙏❤️

    Really neat idea. For the puffy paint, is it the same as fabric puffy paint? I've only seen puffy paint that also says "fabric" on it.

    Do you think watercolor could work instead of food coloring?

    • @DIYNoNeedToCry
      @DIYNoNeedToCry  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Yes, but you have to consider two things if you use watercolor. 1st, you would have to mix it into the glue dry. Crumble a little bit of the watercolor and grind it into a fine powder before mixing it into the glue. 2nd Consider that it might not be as opaque or glossy when it's dry.

    Any tips on getting them to stay stuck to the window or do they just stick?

    • @DIYNoNeedToCry

      Mine just stayed stuck. I don't know why it's not staying for others. I wonder if climate/humidity has something to do with it.

      Wash the windows and moisten with a damp cloth

    Can you use a sheet protector instead?

      I think so, but test a tiny section with the materials you choose just to make sure. 🙏🏼❤️

    Your idea? They had kits for SG window clings that included some beautiful patterns, in the 90s. I framed my kitchen windows with them. Nice try at taking the credit though.

      I make DIY videos where I come up with ways to make things using basic products. What I take credit for is coming up with an affordable alternative to glass paints that won't fade as most DIY versions do. And for coming up with a DIY to make the clings. I have a whole playlist of my journey with faux stained glass.
