I think I’d draw the line at contact papering the floor. 😱
That’s what I was thinking 😂
Me too. That was weird.
Can you imagine all the debris that would get under that paper, and it would come up. Even if you used duct tape amd it never comes off that happens, and it uproots. They're not even using any kind of sealant over it. And I hope they didn't cover the vents on the microwave. Lol.
Lots of people have done this and made videos and it's just fine. Watch some more videos.
Mine would look nice for about one day!
I can't even pull and break off a piece of scotch tape without sticking it to each other so I know I'd really mess up some contact paper! But y'all go on with ya bad selves! 😆
I am with you about the tape!
Same here!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Same here !

Applying Contact Paper… easier said than done!
Agree. Anything with design I have a hard time getting everything to line up right. Seems like you need up teen rolls just to make a patter look right if your lucky.
Exactly I wonder how many tries it took🤔

my drum kit is currently covered in a nice gold metallic wrap
@@marcellabrisboy7915 sooo true.
Not sure of using it on the floor. But some great ideas here for other uses.
You'd hav 2 glue it down or something, don't kno how cleaning would go. I'd stick 2 other areas 4 sure
Right, I also thought the one on the microwave was a bad idea as well.
I would NEVER put it on the floor! Ugh
@@Dulcess I think it was a toaster oven. I have the same model - even worse!
The amount of air bubbles and uneven spacing in some of these are astounding
I love the stair risers idea!!!!
Some of these are inspiring. Especially to repurpose old, beat up furniture pieces to use in a child's room, craft room or a work shop. 🤗 I do wish Hometalk would start linking each of the crafters information so we can look them up individually instead of scrolling through all the thumbnails 😒
Great projects! I would recommend folks buy a rotary cutter and a mat to make long, accurate cuts!
Just what I want a plastic paper floor
Some of y'all really need to watch some more videos. Plenty of people have done awesome things with using this on the floor and have done update videos a couple years later and it was still going fine. Not everyone can redo their floors. Especially renters who just want a nice look, temporary, easy, cheap fix that they can take off when they move out.
Some good ideas. Loving the use as a privacy glass look for the window.
On Tin cans, cheaper Ikea furniture yes. Real wood or kitchen cabinets, just too tacky, better to use paint for long term, better results.
I think some of the things are cute at a distance at least. I think if your budget is tight or you need something temporary it would be a great fix. I didn't get the marble on the microwave or the contact paper on the kitchen floor though.
What about FLOORS? Really? The name is contact “paper”. How many times will that hold up under mopping or steaming or any cleaning process?
@@sarahrenfrow9795 I've seen other vids use it on floors & claim that it holds up well if you put a sealant over it.
That contact paper on the floor is cute, but it would last all of about 5 minutes on the floor at my house 💯
Ok, now let’s see them remove it!
These people got $10,000 worth of contact paper in their house.
I have used it on my counter tops cause replacing them wasn't an option at the time and we had to do a serious push to move so I used what I had to get the place more livable and this place I mean a handy man special trailer. I have used contact paper to cover 70's mirrors and used it on other things including crafts. For what I have used it on I'm pressed that it's held up this long.
Weren’t we shown this video like a month ago. I distinctly remember thinking “why would I really use contact paper on a refrigerator?”
To turn your white refrigerator into looking like a stainless steel one. Maybe you're trying to make your appliances match without buying all new appliances. That's what I did.
Contact paper on the floor? It didn't last on my desk top! 😂
It strikes me that for a number of these projects wall paper would be cheaper and far easier to use. Creative thinking though.
. Or paint.
On the floor? I don’t think so.
I have actually done several of these. However I can't see contact paper looking good on floors for very long.
I learned from another vid to seal the contact paper with clear paint sealer after applying to a floor to make it last! I'm gonna try it, looking forward! 😉 I don't wear shoes in my home or allow others to nor is there a lot of traffic in my home so I'm hoping it will last! Looking forward to brightening my bathroom floor up! 😉
@@tiffanyhollywood2108 hi. 😊 I was wondering(if you haven't already done your floor)if you're taking before and after pictures? If you are, I'd love to see the results. Plus I'd love to hear about any tips you have or things you've learned along the way. Lastly,(I think, lol) would you recommend it? Have a great day/night. 🌷🌺

Years ago I did the kitchen counter in marble design and people thought it was a marble counter top. Also, did the bathroom sink cabinet a different design and cover inside utensils drawer.
I've used contact paper several times. It's not easy to work with, and it's even harder to remove.
Used to be contact paper was looked down on as a nuisance, hard rro install, a waste of time. These ideas are great. I have a small, boring brown refrigerator. Maybe I’ll put leopard print contact paper on it! Thanks for the idea!!
Find a roll of wallpaper, I've done so, easier to apply, more selection and looks awesome
Yeah, that contact paper wood floor is totally gonna hold up.
Great inspiration 👍
I have only used contact paper one time in my life and that was a few years ago I painted a cookie sheet sides with a light color and with a light color contact paper put it in the middle section to adhere my magnets to that I make to sell. A few months ago before my move I purchased a couple of rolls of the black and white floral one from @dollartree and still have not used it. I orig wanted to cover the back side of a maple bookcase that was damaged but because it is vintage I have just propped up a photo in front of it. My apartment is very very tiny and I am hoping to find a bookcase I can paint white and have the contact paper in the back and put it next to a modern day secretary that I have that is already a high gloss black. They will look nice in my office area. I am overwhelmed with the amount of stuff I have and so little room and I am hoping to buy a home next summer, already have one storage unit which is pricy. I do not have a bathroom vanity under my sink, it is a pedestal sink. I would love to see a Hometalk on making a vanity that can also be portable for me that is renter friendly. An idea for you, if one is not filmed yet. I love this channel I think it is one of the greatest and I love going into your homes especially the one very creative woman who is on this the most. I loved her contact paper idea for her TV console and her husband helping out with the shelf. Sorry I always write a novel. I seen to when something excites me. Have a great day.

That's Chas crazy creations. She's great!
Great ideas, but who volunteered to lose function of their back for that floor foolishness ( after they fall)?
All the bubbles on those french doors would trigger my OCD! 😫😆
She did a really crappy job on those French door!
Great ideas, thank you
For covering glass it's easier to use a contact paper that clings, rather than a sticky one. Easy to change if you want something different, too.
Great ideas- however, background "noise" is awful....just sayin'
That's what the volume control is for.
I just mute it so easy
Love these videos. Cant watch because of background monotony.
The last one was pretty 😎. I d k about on the Floor though?
Contact paper on a floor would last about 5 minutes! Especially in a high traffic area that gets exposed to wetness (food dropping, water splashes).
This was one of the best yet. Everything didn't run together like the others where you can't tell the beginning from the end. Ty 🙏🏻
I wrote to them too that this was the best so far I have seen.
Very genius ideas.
Great ideas for contact paper
Very creative!
YES YES YES , WOW WOW WOW , WHAT A GREAT DIFFERENT FOR MANY ROOMS ... THE NICE PAPER DESIGNS DID LOOK CLASSIE ...
Simply amazing
Not sure what I’ve done wrong, but I used contact paper on cabinet shelves and I had to use duck tape to keep them from peeling.
Lol, I don't even take the back off. I cut it to size and put tacks in the corners...then you can easily take it up and take it with you.
It needs a sealant. Like when woodworkers decoupage and use mod podge or another sealant over the paper.

Wow! Amazing ideas
Definitely not good applications of the contact paper. A lot of bubbles can be seen. But some nice ideas shown.
U got that right!!
I can’t even imagine putting any contact paper on the floor
I hope they never want to remove the contact paper from their projects. It isn’t easy!
Some good ideas however the picture frame idea is utterly dire!
I wouldn't mess up a nice wooden staircase with contact paper, but the microwave oven - sure why not - that was kind of cool.
AMAZING!!!!♥️
Really cool 💡
Very clever!
Looking forward to seeing more videos
Thanks 👍
Got to go, covering that beautiful wood with contact paper
I really liked the microwave hack!
what fantastic ideas. given me lots of inspiration xx xx
Thanks I can do those.
Wonderful
Yes... But the bubbles? 🤦🏼♀️
Better off with paint if you ask me, then clear coat it!
Love your ideas, but how will that ever last on a floor??
Nice!!
Love your channel
On the floor? Won’t last long
I cannot believe it would last as flooring.
I do not know from which country this video comes, but here in south africa contact paper is up to magic.
Like 👍🏾 them all
Yea WALLPAPER would be my preference.
Love all of your crafts
Funky bookshelves are my favorite
Please do a followup on how long the contact paper lasts on the floor
Awesome
Love all the great ideas! Love the idea of sprucing up my tired typical white apartment refrigerator!! I would love to brighten up my kitchen my purchasing bright and happy contact paper for my fridge! 😉👍🏾 I can't wait to do my floors, thought about that a few weeks ago and didn't even know it was a thing until I found another vid of a young lady doing the same, her vid was likewise very helpful!
Great ideas!
Enjoyed! 👍🏾😉
I've used wallpaper on the side of my fridge, at an end of a counter. It looked fantastic!
How do you wash your floor,if. You put contact paper down ?
Contact paper will not work for floors! It wasn't made to be walked on!
Unless contact paper has improved over the years, it will start to come off whatever it is stuck to within a year.
Be sure to get ALL the bubbles out from underneath the tact paper. And tact paper on a floor looks nice for a week or so, but it doesn't hold up very well. Then you have a real sticky mess to clean up.
👏👏👏 grest creatively
I like it thode ideas 😘
I used it for a backslash in my kitchen.
I’m a huge fan of contact paper, AKA Sticky Back Plastic. I’ve just covered the top of my desk that had marks from printer ink after a leak. My nest of tables had seen better days and I covered the tops. Bedroom furniture had white tops and I put oak paper on them and it looks like they were bought that way. I was going to replace all that furniture at a cost of over £1,000 now spent less than £25 and everything looks fantastic.
do not use where it gets hot... it bubbles,....microwave not a good idea...
I used to use contact paper and flannel backed vinyl tablecloths for everything when my kids were little lol.... it was easy clean up from little messy fingers. Contact paper a Goodwill tabletop and throw some vinyl curtains up, and you instantly have a kid proof dining room. And if something shocking happened (lol) it was cheap, and easy to fix
I wrapped an old car with contact paper...it actually worked.. just take your time with it
Unless they’ve made changes in contact paper I don’t think I’ve every used it that I didn’t get a wrinkle. I’m impressed!
Fantastic Vid! Can you do one on kitchen and bathroom sink tops? Thank You!
Never ever put contact paper on your kitchen countertops. If you place something hot on the countertop the contact paper will burn, bubble up and or catch on fire.
@@charliem.7492 Use Trivets
Great & creative. Wonder where you got your contact paper thanks for sharing
I was wondering that too, probably not Dollar Tree but who knows.
@@Kim-tv7lm Dollar Tree only sells drawer & shelf liner not this type of contact paper.
If your in the UK b&q Wilko the range
C’est ce qu’on appelle du bricolage dans le sens le moins glorieux !
👍😊
Contact paper has a fight between anything , its got attitude as soon as you peel it from that safe backing layer it says, so you think huh:
GREAT IDEAS , LOOKING GREAT , ON THE STAIRS & ON THE GLASS DOORS WITH DESIGN , ETC ...
Not the floor
1:13 wth that lady can’t put contact paper on for the life of her 😆 look at all those bubbles 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
LOVE THE VIDEO AND BEAUTIFUL JOB ON THE CRAFTS BUT I CANNOT TOLERATE THE MUSIC 😣
Turn the volume right down.
👎🏻how to cover every surface in your house with Contact paper!
I would not do the floor. It does not hold up to wear at all.
The window projects are good.
I suck using contact paper on walls and furniture. It’s harder than these ppl make it seem.
0:56 my OCD thinks they should’ve covered the whole surface
I did the stainless steel on my refrigerator and I did terrible on the corners. Lol!
Awesome!...but how many you use for perfection. Lol
👍
Realistically how would it hold up on a kitchen floor??
This says posted 10 hours ago but I swear I watched on your channel like a month or 2 ago.
They just Re-uploaded it to get more views.
Some good idea the unit put contact you might used wallpaper you had just suggestions
The music is great. It gives an excitement to each project.
Is this contact paper waterproof? I need to cover some corragated boxes wonder if this can work .
CRAZY IDEAS,CONTACT PAPER NOT THAT EASY TO APPLY. BAD IDEA FOR A WHOLE FLOOR. NOT CHEAP COST A FORTUNE
The music is so distracting 🤣
On the floor? Hope they put a nice thick coat of resin on it.
