Tension rods will not hold for long. I tried it. Also in my experience it was actually cheaper and less time consuming to simply buy a shoe rack than it was to buy the amount of tension rods I needed, plus the time it took to fix them over and over again when they started to slide down the wall.
Yeah. I got a shoe rack at Menard’s for $4
Tension rod support holders are inexpensive and either you can get the screw in one's or the adhesive back one's that mount to the wall to ensure that the tension rod doesn't budge. ❤
@@GerardboardMenards for the win!
“….fits just as perfect in this spot” 2:03 cupboard door can’t shut properly 🤣
The hook was mounted too high. It would work 8f the hook was lower.
I noticed that too
Found the comment that saw what I saw 😂
@@Kimikikat Me too, lol. There was another one towards the end but she didn't try to close the door. Probably because it wouldn't close flush, lol...
I saw and noticed it, too. 😂 Cute but funny blooper they didn't have time to fix/correct for this video. 🤣🤣
For your boots, just put a pool noodle inside of them, to keep them upright.
It's way cheaper an effective than the tension rods.
I just bought two after watching another video that suggested this too. I can likely use one noodle per pair of boots
Better yet just put an empty 1 liter water or soda bottle inside each boot.
That's using your noodle 🤓
Yep
It would be nice to have links to the products shown. Thank you.
Nothing like a good organizing video to get you in the mood to clean house!!
I'd rather watch the video than clean 😊
My tip is to watch the video once while you’re lazy. And then force yourself to play it again while you actually clean. It helps get it started.
Srsly. It's like an appetizer for cleaning.
I feel as if I'm watching organizational porn, and afterwards it makes me feel dirty, but also clean.
So true!!
Another suggestion for make-up addicts: a tacklebox, which are available in multiple sizes. They come with divider slots and dividers to set the size of the cells and are great for keeping lipsticks/glosses, palettes, pencils, etc. all in one place and organized. In the garage, they keep small parts like washers, screws, nails, and bolts separate and neat.
That a great idea !!!
I keep my whole spices in a tackle box. Much better use of it, if you ask me.
That’s already invented in the 80s- Caboodle!! And you can still get them!😂
I use a Christmas ball organizer. 🤣
I use a tackle box for my sewing supplies 🧵✂️🧷😊👍
Also, make sure you can close your cabinet door before you attach those command hooks.
I was wondering if I was the only one who caught that 😂
Don't worry, they'll be falling off in a week anyway.
🤣
@@edsterling5258 I have the command ones that they showed with the metal hooks up on the mantle for stockings, they have been there for three years without falling. 😂
@@edsterling5258😂
Many great ideas. I like to use cardboard boxes saved from packaging or shipping and cutting down to size I need. I just bought solid color wrapping paper at Dollar Tree to cover them to match decor. Have also considered using scrap fabric for wrapping, like decoupage, for some storage boxes like ones I'll keep in closet, for craft areas, or under sinks. When I have time, would like to try making paper with recycled paper to line boxes with
Yeah, I plan to do that and more one day.
I’m planning on wrapping them in peel and stick wallpaper from Amazon. I’m just waiting on a few more boxes of the same size
@@stephaniebarfield2718 Dollar Tree also has peel and stick wallpaper
I’m getting ready to do this in my bathroom!!!
Two things I would like to add-use clear bins so you can easily see what’s in there. And don’t put horizontal drawer organizers in the back of the drawer because you prob don’t open it up to see what’s back there. Put vertical organizers in the back the horizontal organizers in the front.
Good idea!!
That’s what I do!
😊😊😊
So many great ideas.I love the rod at the front of the kitchen sink cabinet.
Container lids are always kept on the containers. I clean dry and store them stacked so I’m never searching for a certain sized lid that’s always the one lid in the mess of lids that’s disappeared. We’ve also switched out to just using glass ones so it’s easier to go from freezer to oven or. Microwave or dishwasher with zero stress.
Same! So much easier than a pile of plastic!
I want to do this but I've got such a small kitchen area it's like living in an rv, so I'm about to buy a set of bpa free deli containers. I do wish I had the room for glass, though. FWIW, i'm one of the few going around with a real glass water bottle!
Plus glass doesn't stain.
I'm slowly replacing my plastic containers with glass due to watching stories about microplastics becoming so prevalent in our bodies. Only thing is, my old pyrex glassware lids stack and the new ones foolishly don't!
GIRLAH, I do love the rod idea. I was going through trying to figure out how to address keeping those baking pans upright! You Rock!!!🎉🎉
I have a bad back, so I put big casters on the heavy items in my garage, like my big metal tool trunk. I also have a little, cheap, rolling stool stool that I leave there for moving boxes, etc. around. Wheels eliminate most heavy lifting.
I'm sorry, but I'm buying this woman a level!!
I added this to my favorites. I will be watching it over and over. Soooo many great ideas!
It'd be nice to be a family where doing even one of these ideas wasn't a major production!
Don't tell anyone. Just do it.
I feel your pain lol
@kilodeltawhisky1504 It's a good suggestion, and I have done stuff, but it's not easy like CZcamsrs make it look.... extra hard dry wall, crooked old walls, lost driver etc.
I used a shoe rack under my sink for storage.
The shelves for cleaning rags and little baskets for sink plugs ECT.
And front bars for hanging bottles of cleaning sprays.
Now the bottom of cabinet holds big refill bottles of cleaners,👍
Brilliant idea .. THANK YOU! 🥰
@@briannab5296 ...Welcome.👍
I wish I could see this!
I love tension rods! To make them more secure, add a piece of double sided tape beneath them so they won't slide!💯
Except hanging spray bottles messes up the spray nozzle and then they leak
That's what I thought also.
Or the bottle is so heavy it breaks away from the nozzle. I make my own horse fly spray so use the rod method for storing empty bottles
I have a big, fat rod in my cupboard I hang all types of cleaners (clorox with bleach, windex, 409 justto name a few) & 4 bottles of freebreeze from & none of them ever leak. It's been over 3 years since we made the bar system, & it took me that long to empty my 1st bottle of freebreeze, as we use it mostly on the garbage pail between liners. I just like having different scent options... LOL
But seriously, I think it's because all those cleaners & stuff have good bottles, & the rod is high quality/large. It's also mounted on each side with those plastic discs you use in closets to keep them from falling down, ao maybe that's why
@@leahrowe847 Thx Leah! I appreciate your wall-mount rod support idea for use w/ or w/out a spring rod
That lazy Susan cabinet was brilliant!
I've been searching for something to do with mine in a rental. I hate it... Wasted space!
Any other's?
Help 😁
So many excellent ideas! I love the spice drawer idea. I used a shoe pocket organizer for tools and random hardware things.
❤Thanks Hometalk! ❤
Especially liked the tension rods, bending the metal mini-racks to hang on cabinet doors...all of it, actually!
The clipboard trick was truly genius!
Most of these ideas come from Japanese and Korean sites. They are geniuses of small and efficient organisation as most of them live in small apartments. Love the spice drawer though.
Girl, you got it ALL together. My head was spinning with ideas when I finished watching your video. You just made my life 1000% easier. THANK YOU!
Great! I like everything shown, all except the music. I did lower the volume completely. Lol... Happy and Blessed day everyone 😊
That music ugh
I had to put it on 🔇 mute
Love the space idea! I’ve been desperately trying to organize mine into matching containers for months.
So many people turning their dish organizing racks on the side and hiking to door to hold aluminum foil etc. Your idea :: chef kiss:: superb!
You guys are incredible you have inspired me so much. So glad I found your channel a month ago TFS💗
Oh my goodness I LOVE this video and plan to use lots of these ideas!!!
I love ideas that help me how to organize my space!! Thank you
I was pretty impressed by most of these ideas and then silently screamed when the one lass put her MAKEUP BRUSHES on the FLOOR.
I like this video because it's so realistic and budget-friendly. Good job!
Some of best organizing ideas I have ever seen. I love these.
Spice in a drawer wasn’t working for me. So I ordered a custom grid pattern spice rack from etsy. It fits perfectly in my cupboard with the spice bottles only showing their lids. I love it
Great idea , the Rods and the hook hacks, thank you
Thank you so much! Love the idea of storage with drawers under the bed.
Your ideas are brilliant and cost saving. Great job!
All solutions are practical and easy to follow. Thank you so much!
I like the idea for standing pans up in my cabinet that is the one I’m most likely to use or remember from this video and the only one I haven’t seen on every other cleaning/organizing hacks video.
Love the added commentary. Please keep it coming 🙌🏽❤️
I DO like the idea of using tension rods to keep cupcake, muffin trays etc tidy
I am humbled by your brilliance. Thank you.
One of the best videos on home organization.. loved every tip .
Love these organizations ideas and love the rod ideas
Great video Thank you for sharing have a blessed day stay safe and healthy.🙏❤🙏❤🙏
Had to watch it twice. So many great ideas!!! 🤓😀
Love the clipboard idea for inside corner cabinet. They are such a challenge to keep organized!
I use pool noodles in my boots
We do too; they work great!
Thanks for the tip !
I’ve used empty plastic drink bottles as well, necessity is the mother of invention!
I use rolled up magazines or catalogs.
@@edennis8578 I love how we all use various items to do the same thing, & help each other by sharing those ideas, so someone else who hasn't got their own system set up can find ideas that are unique & affordable!
Thanks for much for sharing your ideas CZcams friends!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR WISDOM ❤
I promised that I would finally get my stuff organized in 2024...This video helps a lot. Thank you so much :)
Really great ideas! They are easy and functional! Thanks for sharing.
So many great ideas , love the spice one, so organized.
Mind blown! Love the tension rod ideas
It really wasn't about giving you MORE space, it's about how to practically organise the space you had.
Excellent ideas for systematic storage and best use of available space

Thank you for great hacks 👍👏👏👏
such great ideas...thank you
Fantastic job sweetie ❤
I like that she uses general labels for her canisters. Cereal, snacks, pasta...not lucky charms, granola bars, fettuccine. If you make it hyper specific the first time you want to switch it up your labels won't be accurate. It's okay if you have multiple labelled the same way such as pasta. It's there for different kind of pasta and you see what it is so you can get different kinds according to your menu plan or store availability and the label always works.
do you know how she made that label transparent? im curious as to how that works :)
I think it's a Cricut...very Pinterest-y results.
@AlienShake I think she made the transparent labels by printing words on copy paper, cut to size and cover with wide transparent parcel tape. Soak for a few seconds in plain water, rub paper off til you just have the word, stick to your container.
Great if you don’t have a Cricut/Silhouette Machine.
Hope this helps.
I don’t need to label containers, I can see what’s in them
@@bowwow7505 I get you there bow wow and I actually don't have labels on my stuff either. I think if it was more than just me I would. While you make a valid point there is at least one reason for labeling. It helps with inventory if you tend to buy the same things over and over the container itself becomes a placeholder for missing items so...if you are looking through making your shopping list and see an empty container marked pasta then you know to add it. You may notice an unmarked container and the absence of pasta but this leaves less doubt. And when you get home there's already a place for it in the right size and type of container for the job. Anyone helping you knows where to put the new stash. It helps with confusing two empties so you won't be putting your pasta in an empty cereal keeper which would cause it to take on breakfasty smells, for example. Just in general in any family space it helps to have labels so everyone can participate in the system without a lot of micro management. Less confusion, better teamwork, easier to delegate esp if you are the type who defaults to "it's easier to just do it myself". Plus how on earth will you find a way to use your cricut cutter if not for neat pantry labels? 🤪
I absolutely love those zip ties and now I'm ready to do some DIY around my home. It's the adult arts and crafts! 😀😀😀❤
You’re a genius!!!!! Thank you for tips and tricks of storage!!!
One thing I refuse to do, empty spices from one container into another. Besides, they're in a drawer!
Not only that, but the new labels don't have the expiration dates written down.
I don’t have drawer space for spices. Turntable in the cabinet works for us.
I buy most of my spices at the Asian market or Mexican market - MUCH cheaper and fresh but comes in cellophane bags. I label my jars with masking tape and a sharpie along with the date purchased.
@@dianeshea4192 that’s why you put the expiration dates on them & actually some spices don’t expire so they won’t have expiration dates on them from the store
It’s not that serious some ppl shop at Sam’s or buy larger containers & put the seasoning in smaller containers
I love all the ideas...thank you for sharing.
Omg LITERALLY straight to the point, this is awesome
I really NEEDED this!!😊👍👍❤️
The rod under the sink to hang spray bottles is GENIUS!!!!!!! 🌸💪🏼🌸

Tension rods are not very strong. They won't hold bottles of stuff under the sink.
At all...hers had to be empty!!
I know that there are different tension rods .. none can work? 😮 😢
Love the Barbie doll organizer. Great idea🎉

Absolutely brilliant 👏.
I'M IN LOVE ❤️ with your susan divider!
Ridiculously fabulous. Love it!
Great job and hacks 👍🏽
With containers I prefer a blank black chalkboard sticker with a white chalkboard marker because the container get so many different items as my family like different things it’s easier to wipe and relabel after washing out the container
OMGoodness... I ❤❤❤❤❤❤ this segment.
Love the in-drawer spice rack hack.
And if she's anything like me, she'll only use four of those spices on the daily.
@@jekku4688 lol! (in a respectful way)
