I was reading on the Plum Bandit website about what they do to your electric motor when you send it in...besides inspecting the heck out of it...they then say - "During this build up process is when we do our trademark 12 point performance upgrade enhancements to each and every motor" - But they don't describe what is done......maybe it's a secret..... I would have liked to know what is actually done for $250 dollars.... Thanks for the Video...

I had the same DS club cart 48v and wanted to follow what you did in the video. I got the same bandit upgrade but when I put it in my cart it actually is slower. I was hoping you might have more comments on this video but maybe you can provide some guidance, as I regret my decision.
I have tested the voltage, made sure wiring is accurate, no bushing... even though my didn't have it, tested with and without the speed sensor connected. Currently at a loss why it would be slower. 6mph is the max it will travel now.

You have a bad speed sensor or bad speed sensor connection. Push the cart 3 feet, if you don't hear the beeping then it's a speed sensor issue.

I have an early ‘70’s Harley electric golf cart and two questions: first, there are five or six electrical devices in a row behind the seat battery bank. I believe that these are “solenoids”. I want to replace them because of age. What new components replace these silver small canisters. The second question is the motor configuration. The back of the motor bolts directly on the differential. The other end has the disc brake assembly bolted directly to the motor with the disc connected to the armature drive shaft. Can plumb quick provide a new motor or do they rebuild the old motor?

Sorry, we don't do these older motors.

So you had speed code 2 on the cart what happens if you put this motor in with speed code 4 already programmed

If my 98 TXT doesn't have the run/tow switch I am unable to do this, correct? Thanks.

yes, you'll need a 48 volt PDS wiring harness to run the AC kit, we can send you a link to order this harness

@@PlumQuickRacingThanks so much for the quick response! Do you have to order a new motor or do those two parts speed up the cart on their own?

@@mellownessuperstar2618 If you're just wanting the Bandit upgrade then you can just send us your motor for the upgrade and run your stock components. You'll need the harness conversion if you're wanting to run the AC kit and get speeds up to 30+ mph and great torque.
