    His explanation was beautifully said. We weren't there to see how Shawn trained and to see him not fully be there, meaning he's ready to retire and be with his family. He did what was right. He let him walk away and be there for his family in the future. Shawn porter is a true champion and a class act of a man. I highly respect him. Great interview.

      Only people mad is Errol Spence fans. It's make it Bud's performance seem a little dull if they bring on this narrative. Bud was goin to win this fight whether Kenny stopped it or not. Porter was in there swinging wild as fuck like in the Spence fight. Spence don't have no damn defense so he was getting hit with those shots but that shit ain't goin to work on Crawford after he figures him out. Porter was missing most of those wild shots cause Crawford was blocking those shots. Porter got 1 clean lick on Crawford when he was on the ropes.

    Shawn needs to be truly recognized for what he did last night. Imo....might sound corny but be CHOSE Crawford to be his last fight so Crawford can get the recognition he deserves, get out the situation with Top Rank so he can keep his career moving forward not backwards (Top Rank trying some slick shit by having Crawford fight Josh Taylor), ultimately move boxing forward. Boxing is a brutal sport with no compensation for a lifetime of struggles after the ring glory days are over.

He knows who Crawford is. I doubt he did not prepare. If Porter would have won his father would have taken credit and it would have been a "we won" but because he loss its "you loss" because you did not prepare. I don't like his attitude. I get Jeff trying to stand with Kenny, but you'd never see matches with guys being able to come back if the trainers threw in the towels from a couple of knockdowns. Shawn wasn't that hurt. And, he's paying his father to be his trainer, not his father. What Mark Breland did with Wilder, I understand. But, to say your son was at a deficit in a fight he was still in, is ridiculous. There are a lot of points in a lot of sporting events where the athletes arw at deficits. That's when they get to show you wbat they're made of. Who's to say Crawford wouldn't have made a mistake and Shawn would've made him pay? Just seems like Kenny's heart was never really into this fight and he took the 1st opportunity to get him out of there. He was talking before the fight about how Shawn didn't prepare the way he wanted. I think Kenny was afraid of Crawford more than Shawn was, and if he didnt want his son to ever get hurt, he should've trained in something other than a combat sport.

    • @SuperTruthful
      @SuperTruthful Před 2 lety

      Yes, Kenny always wanted to be in the spotlight. In every fight Kenny had to up close and personal with Shawn....and it's bummer he stopped the fight. Shawn could have regrouped and who knows what would have happened. I've seen fighters get knocked down and got up and won the fight. We will never know nor will shawn and that's a bummer.
