Shawn is going to take a year off and then comeback without his father. He will have a new trainer. I think it’s just the end of the road for his dad training him. If you have watched the interaction between the 2 during training, his father has all the answers. Shawn has been in the game a long time and a fighter needs to have some input on how he fights because it’s his body. A coach a trainers voice can get old and sometimes you need a new voice. Porter will be back, the people want to see him fight.

At the end of the day Shawn has to get in their and fight, it’s his body and if he feels his way is best win or lose you back him… Kenny be doing too much finger pointing when shit goes bad but wants all the praise when his son wins. If he was mad at his fathers decision it would’ve been obvious. Why the hell would his father lie about him not being focused in camp? He has nothing to gain from that. A trainer 99% of the time has all of the answers unless your Floyd mayweather lol he probably wouldn’t have stopped the fight if he knew his son trained properly. At the end of the day the same exact thing happened as what happened in the Errol Spence fight. The difference now is that Crawford was a much more dangerous fighter than Spence and he could’ve seriously ended up being hurt. The only future porter has is in the higher wait classes, no point in him challenging younger fighters like jaron ennis and getting beat even worse

I commend Kenny for stopping the fight before it got really ugly in there but I also condemn Kenny for not allowing Shawn the opportunity to see if he could find a way... All of the greats been hurt but in that defying moment they made a choice that turned the tide. Shawn never had that opportunity because Kenny wasn't willing to see if Shawn could overcome the adversity in that moment.

Another trainer that weekend other than Kenny, Shawn is in the hospital with pictures all over the net of his son laid out cause Bud was about to do some damage to that boy. Good decision by Kenny. These fans don't care, Porter gets seriously hurt they'll post a comment saying "damn.... Etc" and get on with their lives

He did let him continue he got knocked down twice right? Crawford had Shawn retreating what don’t y’all get. He was going to get brutalized bud was not going to stop swarming him. He was hurt he started to just lunge with every punch trying to keep bud off him he was leaving huge holes for bud to crack him clean that’s why he got dropped twice. The man was on the canvas fumbling around he was hurt. His father did what he was supposed to do defend his son from himself. There was no coming back he was going to get taken out.
