I asked artists on Fiverr to be Creative - Warhammer

- đđ I'm in the midst of releasing my dream miniature brush as well as some wonderfully sculpted miniature busts. It's something I'm really proud of and been working on for the better part of the last year. Late pledges from the Kickstarter are up and You can check it out here: www.squidmar.com/latepledge đđ
I went on Fiverr again, asking miniature painters to paint my Warhammer figures in a creative way. This time I sent out one mini from Zarbags Gitz to all of the painters. Funny enough, after I had started the production of the video - Fiverr - reached out asking if I wanted to make a video sponsored by them. Instead of asking for money for myself I told them to pay the Painters, so in some ways this video is sponsored by Fiverr. (for full transparency)

Geckopainter here ;) I am really happy to have taken part in this project. I could write you some anecdotes about the race against time or the curses towards the postal service but in reality the thing that I will remember most from this experience was the pleasure of having "breathed" passion and fun for miniature. Ciaooo Emyl! :)
Thanks for sharing man. Beautiful paint job and glad you wanted to be part of the vid â€ïž
Maan, Your entry was awesome! My fav
The way you composed the mini is absolutely amazing.
@@brushlickerstudio28 Thanks dude! :)
@@Okxyd Thanks! :)
DevPaints here. Thank you for letting me be a part of this. It was a great idea and a fun challenge. I'm really glad you liked it. Happy New Year, Emil! :)
Your mini was my favourite! Amazing work!
@@rasmuskrekuhofvander9234 Thank you so much for saying that. It means even more when it's next to so many other amazing figures. Thanks again !
Amazing paintjob dude! That blue puddle looks insane
@@SicariiD Thank you thank you. I'm just so happy that I was able to hang with all these super talented people :)
My favorite aswell! Like the contrast between a light cloak and all the mud. And cool blue effect :).
Dunford here! Video was awesome to be a part of!
Thanks to squidmar for getting me back on!
Iâve done a video of my paint job on the crack head netter on my new channel!
My fav mini đđ»đđ»
This was a blast! Thank you for letting me be a part of it :) - If I had to choose, Seth Miniatures gets my vote, but all of them are incredible!
No thank you mate
I stopped the hobby for years and got back into it , your Lore videos really were the best I found and enjoyed listening to and you have really helped me in my AOS journey thanks Doug !
When Doug showed up in the video I was like âthis is the coolest,â I love seeing content creators and community coming together in stuff like this. Black Magic Craft and Miniac just did a team-up that had my heart all warm and fuzzy too.
You're amazing. followed you!
Lulz, "They beat him and force him to wear black."
Best story by far.
and so the first emo was made...
It was so exciting haha, I arrived from the office, picked the package, painted it, put it in a package again, sent it back to you haha, still tried to make it look like he was becoming part of the underworld.
his eye now sees through the dark, he doesn't know but he doesn't need arrows anymore... for he is part of the underworld now
Note on the twoelbows mini: I love the cuts on the arms! Those cuts are exactly where you'd get hurt if you didn't know how to properly use a bow. Very cool!
Oh no, it's Brushlicker again! I'm feeling half-traumatized by these videos because I can't but help imagine Brushlicker as a mischievous gnome-like entity going around people's houses and licking all their brushes :(
I just love how a lot of the colors pop on those minis. Each one's got a different style, but they all look great.
That's the power of contrast, creativity and fun. The things I love most in this honby
Frederick's work (The one who broke the rules) is my favorite. Such detailed base, it might not suit playing, but it will look amazing to display for sure!!
Nefashus thanks!!! đ
Devpaints is by far my favorite as he actually painted what the story was about. It doesn't need to the best painted for this, but the one that is inspired by the story.
Yoo thanks so much for saying that :D
Great way of handling the sponsorship! You earned yourself a subscriber

Happy New Year! Iâm happy to have been apart of this video I hope you like my take on it. Nice work everyone else who was featured in the video!
Yeah yours was super cool my guy, I thought structure with the removable mini was an awesome idea
Does this mean the fiver thing will be a series? Why not!! Love it
I'm having lots of fun making them. If people like them and the painters do - maybe đđ
@@SquidmarMiniatures we definately do!
@@SquidmarMiniatures I'd love to be a part of the next one if there is one! Love the series and channel!
Me lately: man I've been really improving
Me watching this video: oh my God there's still so much room for improvement, look how amazing this all is!
Inspiring work, seriously. From every last one. The functional play diorama squig was just đđđ.
I was just thinking the same! Just finished a mini Iâm very happy about, but it canât compare to these works of art. On the other hand, it doesnât have to :-).
Very awesome job everyone. I hope I sometime will get as good at mini-painting as you guys :-)
After watching this video I am thinking about quitting painting miniatures... I am improving, but I am also very very far away from a "good" low level T.T
You will get there man, don't give up, it takes patience and practice... or you can just hire me ;)
@@Hades13 nah man, gotta flip your mindset around. I used to get frustrated my work wasn't as good as other people but then I learned some very important lessons.
1) its okay to suck at your hobby. If you focus on the fact you're doing it because you enjoy it, rather than for the finished result, you still have a good time.
2) these guys have been painting for years. I have improved dramatically over the last 8 years since I got into the hobby, just imagine what I can do in another 8
Got to keep at it to improve!
@@srsgoblin Thanks for the words, but everyone has their limit. And probably I already reach it.
I will keep painting because I like it and I like the game (I am more a gamer than a painter).
But I started in junior high school. Now it's about 14 or 15 years that I am painting miniatures, and I didn't get too far. I have never been good in art at school, and also been color blind doesn't help, lol
You've literally inspired me to start painting again. Thank you Squidmar.

Freshly baked Squidmar video, yay !! The best surprise.
â„ïžâ„ïž
What a fantastic and positive video! Such a fun thing to do and it is so kind of you to show off other painters and show them support!
Let's try to get this man another mil!!!
Excellent work from all of the painters, seeing them all together at the end was so nice too. Each one has their own personality and that's real awesome. They all "pop" but none of them seem out of place. Good stuff again!
I personally have painted miniatures for well over 23 years. And i must say the exception level of detail, skill, passion and colour solutions for each individual piece is that of an expert! Huge respect to these guys! Such an amazing share for all to see! Cant wait for the next video!!
All artist did a great job with the painting! I really like this type of videos and its the last one the one which brought me to your channel.
I barely have any experience painting, as i only could do a few figures when i was 14. Sadly, it costs so much both the figures and the paint that i just can't afford it. Meanwhile, i'll enjoy this videos and the job others do!
These are all great and is going to be a very unique but awesome warband. But that useable squig with diorama is amazing, my favourite
Love this kind of content. Showing dedication of community while supporting them. This is a community driven hobby and love the aspect of that.
I really appreciate you're looking out for the artists! The story part was also a great move, it gave me a different perspective on how to approach a miniature and painting it. Thank you and all the other painters for the inspiration, it truly is a joy watching these :)
Amazing, love how you switched it up on this one from the last one.
This crossover between you and Doug from 2+ Tough is the crossover I never knew I needed! Love both you guys!
The positivity you give to the painters is so refreshing! I know this was over a year ago but I really enjoyed this video. Good job to all.
Man, every paint job looks really amazing! I really dig the idea with the little story aswell
the cave squig that green glow the way he done the green hue, but across the board they were all amazing
This is a great idea! Bringing the lore into it makes it all the better. :)
They're all so well done, and it is so fun to watch. You'll have to make more of these videos!
Love this series I hope this keeps up and promotes awesome painters.
They're all very amazing models with their crazy colour schemes.
Hell yeah, first one is how I found your channel, so Iâm excited for this
Ethan Thurman same lol
Awesome video! I really enjoyed the content, and how you got all these painters paid for their hard work is just the cherry on the top! Keep up the awesome job!
All of them are Inspiring. They painted bravely, and the end results are awesome! I get so much painting done, myself, after watching your videos. Nowhere near the results shown here, but mini by mini, I'll get there.
iv been waiting for this video thank you for sharing it dude !!
Every of those paintjobs has something going for it.
The yellow robe and his pallish skin are grizly, the blue one draws the eye, the fanatic and chef look crazy. Props for the two part diorama that allows to keep playing with the mini.
Thank you for the video and thanks to the painters.
Those are ALL absolutely astounding!!! Well done guys!!! Incredible work.
Iâve just started collecting the Gitz and I love them! These guys all did such a great job! Defo gonna take some inspiration from these!
I love these fiverr videos, regardless of topic basically. The sole reason why I found myself procrastinating with watching miniature painting videos - even though I havenât painted any during the last 2 decades pretty much. Keep it up though, itâs fun content!
(- Meme reviews and challenges usually gets a lot of views, to draw traffic to your channel. Although they are side notes to your usual content)
Kör hÄrt, hoppas du fÄr bra snurr pÄ kanalen! :)
I like how the internet enables these obscure, nerdy hobbies to be seen & appreciated
Yes please do this again. The painted miniatures are really quite amazing with their shading and contrasts. It really plays with the eye.
Thnx for another entertaining video. I have recently decided to pick up painting again after 15 years not painting or playing Warhammer. I really like your video's and you made me really enthousiastic again about this hobby. Thank you Emil!
Awesome! Pleasure doing projects with You!
Brushlicker Studio - Youâre awesome dude!
I liked them all, but I have to say my favorite was the Squig on the big base and as runner up the Squig in the cave đ
Really love these videos. Those minis were amazing given the time constraints (and just in general, really).
Really a great idea to highlight all these painters - keep up this kind of work
Amazing job. Well done to all the painters
Yay! New Squidmar vid!
This video needs more attention. This style of video is just so neat and entertaining. Awesome job.
Love your videos, man! I discovered my love for miniatures bc of you, hope you continue to make great content!
The most educational and family-friendly video ever youtube algorithm.
It makes me very happy that all he wants for payment is a like and a comment, very heartwarming yes yes
The more likes and comments the more his video gets recommend, the more his video gets recommend means more people watch and that leads to more money, he definitely made more than 1000⏠minimum on this video. He not doing this for free you know, he wouldn't post videos much or even atall if he wasn't being payed for this.
Beni 51 yeah but itâs still nice that there isnât like a patron or another thing I could be forgetting about, itâs heartwarming to see honest work
@@professorkhepri If you have a passion for something/someone.....đ
I'm so glad youtube suggested part 2!! Very kind of you to give to the painters, please make a continuous series!!
I have these to paint and watching this gave me so much inspiration to paint my own. It also confirmed how well my own colour ideas will work well with them
do this again but ask all the painters to put the model on a diorama base to tell a story instead
Iâd love to get involved in a future project :) thank you for your content đ
This is awesome. More of these. Great for everyone and the community
wow some of these minis were incredible !! big props to you for making a video like this !
This is a sweet video, but I think part of what makes the Fiverr videos like yours in the past or from Davie504 cool is that the artists don't always know they are going to be in a video, so I guess it makes it more "real" or genuine.
Either way like I said this is still a cool, video loved seeing the different interpretations on the paint jobs.
Exactly my thoughts too. Artists put more effort into it when they know they're in a video. Part of the fun is seeing what you get for the price... and if you're paying $50 and he knows hes in a video... the artist is NOT painting a $50 miniature lol
@Johnnie Walker It's all about pay per hour. How much would be acceptable pay for you, in your daily job? I would not lift a brush for less than 30$ an hour, painting for strangers.
Quality move there spreading the love (and money)
Lovely video to see all the different ways these minis were able to be imagined.
I was surprised more of the artists didnât pick up on ur script describing all the grime n filth, instead using vibrant clean colours down to the base, but excellent to see so much variety.
That would be such a weird combo of minis on a board, but what a showcase of talent.
Thank you
Your first fiver video got me into the hobby. Was a random suggested video. Just finished my second mini and am enjoying this hobby so much. Thank you for the great videos!
geckopainter has my vote, but damn they're all amazing!
i love you Emil, but cant help laughing when you say sjallenge :D sowwyyyy
I don't normally post of videos but I am really loving the videos you have been making. Please keep making amazing videos I'm always inspired when a new one comes out.
The group shot is fantastic! So different individually, but still looking kick-ass all together.
You are the best, Emil!

2 millions this time!

Man i feel like 1 million was a one off! One can always dream though :D
Youâll get there. Keep plugging ahead, youâre a great painter and positive person, and it sure works for me!
This is a really great showcase of creativity, skill and fast painting. Kudos to all participants.
Had no idea about this channel till today and these two Fiver videos. Giving artists the ad money easily got you a new sub! Keep up the great work.
Knocking it out of the park again!
Geckopainter has to be my favorite
Ended up here recently, but damn, i felt in love with Warhammer miniatures painting videos, and i love your channel too!!
Collectively at the end they look awesome all together ! Coupled with the story they all flow together quite well!
Another great video - you've really hit on to a winning formula. More like this please :)
Making a comment to assist the algorithm gods.
...
+1 for the algorithm đ
These are absolutely beautiful and it is amazing to think they did this with such little time. Each one was creative and had its own highlight.
Devpaints was my favorite because I'm a sucker for the bright colors and the scenario-based painting. The way the robe had mud on the backside but also the blueish tint on the front from the environment was spectacular.
Frederick with the rule breaking is always pleasing. Creative=making your own rules! And he absolutely nailed it.
The last one had beautiful colors and I loved the scratch/worn effects on the robe, a technique I'm still trying to learn. The weathering on the ball was gorgeous!
I can't scroll up to see the name but the figure with the purple net, I enjoyed that. A great example of how creativity and skill collide to make a great figure.
Congrats to all involved! I certainly learned a few new things as a painter as far as color matching, techniques that can be used, and how creativity beats standard aesthetics. Loved this video and hope to see more soon.
DevPaints thanks you :)
Yes please, do another one video, this videos are amazing
Just to remind, you are awesome
Just doing my part to comment and like the video.
And i thank thee
These were awesome I loved how each painter put their own spin on the story and setting.
I think what I enjoy about this best is hearing a prompt and seeing how different people respond to it. Iâd love more videos like that! Maybe even show us the unpainted mini first and give us a moment to pause and think about what weâd do. Thanks!
Just found this guy, getting back into the hobby after 10 years and your videos are incredibly helpful and you seem very genuine!
This is cool! Good to see the community doing stuff like this!
So very jealous of that warband! Great creativity, and fun concept. Hope to see more videos like this in the future!
So darn good! Love the different looks
this is becoming a cool little series! beautiful work all
So cool loved all the ideas with bright colours on grits looks awesome
Love all those paintjobs, so bright and colorful
Such a unique and time consuming idea I really appreciate it, liked and subscribed!
I really like these cooperation-style videos some of you mini youtubers have going on in the recent past
Great video man. I'm glad your channel is growing so fast you definitely deserve it.
I absolutely love the blue and brown weathering/ rust on the Flail painted by Terz!
It's a real joy watching this, so many skilled painters out there!!!
