    as an argentinian, I'm heart broken for Le Celso and he def will be missed. We are pretty deep and something tells me whomever Scaloni decides to put in, that player will step up to the role. The team chemistry and strong mentality in this national squad , I've never witnessed. I was a baby when they won the world cup in 86. I hope this is the year I witness Argentina holding a World Cup with my little boy who's 3.

    I placed bet on Argentina as we college friends were placing bets on their favorite team. All placed their bets on teams comprising Brazil, Portugal, France. If our supporting team didn’t lift the World Cup, we’ll have to go bald. This was the bet made,and they wanted me to go bald like them. But, as I was growing my hair long, I said “If Argentina loses, I’ll shave my beard in half and roam around all sections and department of college for a day without my mask” so as to compensate for the going bald thingy.
    But I clearly remember the reason why I rooted for Argentina *is because of this video.* I love Argentina, but I didn’t know the lineup we got at that moment. I wanted to place bet on a good team with good lineup so that I won’t have to get my beard cut in half. But in my mind, this video’s name (Why this team has no weakness) kept coming. Thanks for helping me choose Argentina when I was clueless about what team to pick and root for.
    They all laughed at me for picking Argentina and placing bet on them. And in the following days, I got roasted pretty badly as we lost to Saudi. Trolls were going wild mocking me and Argentina. And I even got mocked as other teams were performing so well on the pre-quarter matches. I kinda felt like I lost hope, they all laughed at me. I too said “I’m gonna have to shave my beard in half soon.”
    *But the rest is history!!!*

    Argentina has proven that their 35 games win streak wasn't just luck. Aside from the technical aspects that you had analyzed in the video (Great vid btw), comparing to the 2014 WC Final, 2018 chaos team and the 2022 version there are huge differences. No more Higuain :)), their team has a really reliable Emi Martinez in goal, huge upgrades in defensive and midfield positions, Scaloni ideology for the team, etc....But the key difference is in their unification spitrit. Everybody on this 2022 squad is now fighting with an ignited spirit of "ONE FOR ALL AND ALL FOR LIONEL MESSI", they aren't afraid to spills blood if that meant winning for Messi and Argentina.
    I sincerely pray to God and hope that Argentina will win the World Cup, so that the world will finally pay the debt it's borrowed from Messi back in 2014, so that Messi can finish his career happily knowing that he had brought glory to Argentina. (Love from Viet Nam)

    Great analysis. I think the most important thing about Argentina's aquad is they have a defence that they can rely on, and midfielders don't have to be constantly running up and down the field to cover the defence AND provide attacking spark. The GK position has been a problem since Romero went out of his glory days, and Martinez is a very underrated GK. Not to mention the squad depth and incoming talent is also amazing.

    Since Copa America Messi seams less stressed and has played relaxed. Great analysis BTW. Set your recorder to tape every game because every team has issues with injuries; however, I have watched the WC since I was a kid and never have a I seen a team as impressive. From a defensive and offensive perspective. I saw Argentina win with a striker at home, the magician who schooled the English team by himself, and I am witnessing a new generation that may again lift the cup. The only team that can match skill with skill is Brazil. The major question becomes can Messi stay healthy throughout the tournament because his ability to attract numerous defenders and still put a playable ball on someones foot 10 meters away is irreplaceable.

    Argentine here. Excellent video. Very complete and the description of the key characteristics of the team is pretty much spot on.
    Some more weaknesses that I see the team might have:
    -Our fullbacks are not that good, so it could get complicated if we face a team with dribbly wingers that knows how to put them in 1on1 situations.
    -If this is combined with good ball playing centre backs and/or defensive midfielders, it can get really complicated, as you won't see Messi man marking a DM or pressing the centre backs very hard. With freedom for those deep players, long balls to the wings can become a real threat. I guess that's why Scaloni has been testing 4-5-1 (Messi as a false 9) and 3 at the back formations so much lately, to prepare for such cases where the defensive setup might need to be changed to mantain solidity.

    • @FranZidane97
      @FranZidane97 Před rokem

      I'd play Foyth in the RB position, he's like life insurance on the wing, and he could be the 3rd defender when in possession, giving some attacking freedom to the LB as well.
      Other than that, the team is pretty good and players like Guido can really help against top European countries / Brazil. In my opinion, the main weakness is Otamendi, followed by Acuña. And the lack of pressure when playing Messi and a 34 year old Di María simultaneously could prove troublesome as you stated
