The scarier thing about Brazil compared to Argentina is that if Neymar gets an injury, it will not be the end of the road for them as important as he is they still have Vinny who can replace him. Brazil is very dangerous going to this World Cup.

Right now Vini isn't a replacement for Ney. Ney is playing as a true 10, with a lot of freedom to roam between Richarlison, Vini, Raphinha and Paquetá. Tite has Rodrygo as the sub for Ney, who isn't a bad sub lol

Vini and Neymar have completely different roles as they are completely different players. Vinny is a winger that needs space. A lot of space. Neymar is a playmaker that can also break defensive lines even with two or three defenders on him.

@@hawkeye5042 well, for starters Messi is irreplaceable, so no team could ever find someone who fills that role, but after Di Maria now we have Thiago Almada who is an amazing player, and in a different scale Julian Alvarez and Dybala are really good players too. As a brazilian who watched most of the qualifier matches, i would like to point something out for those who haven't. The reason why Vini would start on the bench most of the times was not because of Neymar or because he lacked quality, but was actually because of Firmino. Sounds weird, i know, but hear me out:
When Firmino played the striker role, he would drop deep to help creating in the half space. So Tite would have to deploy either Richarlyson or G. Jesus alongside him, in a "4-4-2" formation.
That was the main problem, because:
    1) Neymar would play on the Left Wing taking away Vini's position, as occupying the middle would take space away from Firmino to drop into.
    2) Neither Firmino or Neymar had the athleticism to occupy the center of the opposition's defence, so Tite had to deploy a third striker to attack the center.
    3) Neither Firmino or Neymar were good on defence, so the striker was tasked with defending the wings. (Hence why poor G. Jesus didn't score even once on 2018's World Cup.)
So to summarize: For Firmino to play, Tite would have to sacrifice the central striker and loose either verticality or defensive solidity. And to deploy Vini, he would have to sack Firmino, who at the time was amongst Brazil's most important players, risking disrupting the squad harmony. With time Vini Jr improved so much that he had no choice but to make the tactical change, and in the end Firmino lost his place not only as a starter, but also as a squad member, since his playing style did not fit well with the other players we currently have, despite being one of the best strikers/creators in the world. Tite ended up leaving him out for the sake of the system. Now he can employ both Vini and Neymar without sacrificing Richarlyson/Gabriel Jesus, and Brazil is much more threatening upfront.

For anyone that has watched Brazil during the qualifiers, you would notice how Paqueta turns into a world class player when playing along side Neymar. He was never a favorite of mine, but what he does for the team is exceptional. The main thing for Brazil now is having all this other options apart from Neymar (different from the last world cup). If the opponent tries to block neymar, they will be leaving a raphinha or vini jr free and thats dangerous. And with a bench like that, the amount of different possibility TIte has is absurd.
But Brazil's main flaw is its wings. And thats exactly how we lost to argentina on the copa america final... one single mistake by Renan Lodi (and ofc the brilliant Di Maria finish).

Watching a tactical analysis of Argentina, I'm certain Brazil fans will be concerned too. In this cup, there is an absolute dream scenario for brazil, in which we beat
Uruguay in the 8th finals (second rival in south america, also the 1950 world cup final which uruguay won),
    Germany in the quarters (...),
argentina in the semi (eternal nemesis, 1990 8ths elimination)
and France in the finals (1998 finals and 2006 quarters). Exorcising all past demons and ending 20 years of hunger in the world cup

Uruguai just isn’t going to qualify.
Argentina may qualify but still is something to be seem.
Germany probably will qualify and why I would like to see Brazil defeat the chucrutes, I really don’t like to add this kind of pressure in an already hard scenario like the World Cup.
France is our eternal nemesis , you forgot 86, so I hope they fall before.
In theory I think that Brazil can defeat any rival, but all these possible matches are “clássicos” and as such anything can happen.
I don’t give a fuck which way will lead to the Hexa, I just want to see Brazil champion again.
The dream scenario isn’t the hardest one, the dream scenario is the one that we will be champions, if we have Saudi Arabia, senegal and equador it will be the just as good or even better. Brazil is already qualified, so let’s the rivals do their work, I will “secar” Argentina and Germany and if they fall I will laugh as if Brazil had defeated them!

The only thing they are lacking right now is team play, shooting, passing, positioning, tackles, form, speed, aerial game, defensive cohesiveness, attacking tactics, midfield presence, short passes, long balls, counter-attacks, and pressing. If they can improve on these I really think they can go long in the tournament!

Well I’m a Brazilian, and the reason why I think my national team is dangerous is simply because we take football very seriously and it is our national sport, although some European nations are the same way, in Brazil the pressure on winning comes in bulk on top of the players, the public is very supportive when winning but when losing all the love is gone and they criticize a lot. Look up the players interview in 2014 when they lost to Germany. That was a big wound in our football history. And although Brazil is good in other sports too, specially beach ones such as surf and volleyball (look up the Olympics etc) these sports only gets highlights and incentive when it’s Olympic time of the year, until then, only football matters pretty much.

  • @rafaelrp07
    @rafaelrp07 Před rokem

I think, we brazilians saw 2 great improvements. Those new names that are already big names in Europe but it's their 1st World Cup, it's a whole new generation that has been prepared since Olympics. It's weird but in BR often olympic team players did not reached greater success later in their career and it was common history for many. This kinda changed since we won our 1st olympic championship in our history only 2016 and again at 2021. Neither Ronaldo/Ronaldinho generation had won this title. Both '16 & '21 Olympics became foundations for this new generation we are seeing now.
The second improvement is how well guarded Brazil are when we are defending. It's great to see attackers pressing up front and how tactical obedient players are from Alisson to Casemiro. Sometimes you could percieve the defensive lines while watching the game.
