@@AlexanderRodriguez-ym7we I was thinking about doing this as well S replacing the guide rod. Not that either are absolutely required because it’s great as is.
The basics are not so basic anymore, you can literally get a very good handgun like this one a pretty good price and that's a good deal , Ruger is a fine company. Thanks Dan 🤜🤛
@@NaturallyBlemishedreliability, hand feel and controllable. Easy to aim in. Easy to pull trigger. Over all the Ruger max 9 is one of the best micro compact 9mm. I’d suggest buy an extra 2 12 round mags, it makes the handle a little bigger and ofc 2 extra rounds per magazine
That is my summer edc. Been great except for the slide lock malfunction after only 600 rounds. Sent it back to Ruger and no problems since. TheHumbleMarksman had the same problem with the one he tested.
Probably the best value in the micro compact market......I got 2 of them for $600 at my local gun store.....have seen them online for $279 in the past week.....carries well and shoots great!
I bought a brand new Taurus GX4 T.O.R.O for $200 after the $50 rebate.... That was by far the best deal in that category. Too bad the price jumped up now. GX4 is a great gun and that price point was the icing on the cake.
Can't wait till mine come in Monday... then planning to get the Cz compact next week.. then hope to get 2 more.. wanna get a few toys before I move into my own place as I won't be able to buy guns money will be tight as rent is high now days
I love mine with the crimson trace sight , very accurate. The trigger is a bit funky, but it can be upgraded! great gun I have never been disappointed with Rugers products!
Good shows Sir. I don't have one of those yet not that I need any other pistol but when has that ever stopped any of us from buying another one . That looks like a gun I would enjoy. Iv"e been into Glocks lately and have been wating to try some other brands . I love my Glock 26 Gen 5 and carry it everyday with an extended magazine holding 2 extra rounds and a backup mag from my Glock 17. It is so comfortable I'm not even aware of it being on me even when I'm sitting down .
I have this gun and my dad has the Taurus gx3 and the Taurus blows this goin out the water except for no optic cut on the slide. The irons are way better on the Taurus the all black sight on the ruger is very hard to see the notch on. Taurus comes with 3 12 round mags and the ruger has 2 10 round mags and the Taurus mags are way cheaper. My ruger was missing the slide release spring and takedown pin cover spring from the factory so it would lock open with ammo in the mag. Even tho I sent it to ruger and they fixed it and I have had hundreds of rounds since then through it I am still weary to edc it because of the malfunctions originally. Damn near 1000 rounds through the Taurus and not a single malfunction.
It is soft shooter but, Ruger does poor quality control. Mine went for warranty repair out of box. Wouldn't even chamber. It got some reliability issues after repair as well. Part of it was some bad Win ammo but, p365 that went along didn't have any issues. It is ok now but, still building trust. Defintely not nice ergo like Sig but cost a lot less ... It is my second Ruger that went for warranty work 🙁
@@bobbytarte2299 Very nice of you to welcome us from California. Unfortunately I'm stuck here and I want to remind everyone moving out of California to remember why you moved and to not bring the same ideology that screwed up California to the state you will be moving to. ✌️
I’m in Cali too you probably seen it already but I think either turners or ammo bros now sells the ruger max 9 slide with optics cut and plate for $110-150 not bad if u really want an optic then I guess u can switch slides whenever u wanna rock a sleeker iron sights set up
Me and a buddy picked up our m9s a week ago. We noticed both our rear were pushed further to the right. I tried to adjust it with my side adjuster I was afraid to put too much torque on the adjuster wheel. It's a dovetail like my Glock 19, is the Ruger rear site screwed down or do I need to cranked down on the adjuster a bit more
won one on GB. for 176.69. Brand new. It's ok, I like it but it's not my go to. Nothing wrong with it and honestly I'm not sure why I don't carry often.
Such a POS gun, cheap finish that will rust and a stupid plastic takedown port that can come undone and jam the gun. There are several much better options out there in it’s class.
Is this from your own experience or some one close to you? Price would be the only reason I would even consider this gun. But there are way better options. If what you said is true they couldn't make it cheap enough for me yo buy it.
This is my go to EDC and I have G43X, G48 MOS, and more. It's concealable, easy to shoot, not snappy for its size and very light. I love it.
is it easy to rack. so my wife can shoot it. i was gonna get a sig p238
Just add the Galloway Precision trigger, and you're all set👍👍👍

Much appreciated Wayne
Think this will be my conceal carry of choice. Good size, good capacity, and under $400. Triple win!
I carried the Glock 42, 43, 19 the Sigg P365 then I finally bought the Ruger max9. By far the best gun I’ve carried so far.
Mind if I ask why? I’m looking for a new carry and debating between the 43, p365, max9, or hellcat

@aponoypi I would say no. Look at the Security .380 Lite Rack for any easy slide
You make it look so easy to unlock th3 slide. Im a beginner and having troubke unlocking any handgun with a slide

Ruger quality, Ruger guns are extremely reliable and the best part, they are made in the USA.
