  • First day of trout fishing on the White River! The fish weren't biting all that good, but we did manage to fill the live well with our limit of Rainbow trout and had a lot of fun doing it. The shore lunch was great and they really filled us up! We really enjoyed our time fishing here. Be sure to check out the following videos of day 2 and 3!

    Thank you for investing in and using the mics. Abby has a nice voice and we want to hear what you both have to say. Thank you for sharing your lovely times. It means a lot to people like me who have a limited ability to travel.

    That big house up on the bluff is where Jennifer Flowers got deflowered. Slick Willie in his prime.

    Awesome timing, just finished watching Part 1 and then Part 2 pops up. My wife and I love to travel but here lately we have struggled to actually make it happen due to this crazy thing called life. I love watching your videos (on both channels) and appreciate the quality content you always put out!

    Light gear, light line, that's the way it's done! Granddad had a large pond stocked with Bream (and some others) on the Farm and we'd yank them out of there like crazy! I didn't like cleaning them so much (I was 7) but I DID like eating them! Granny's biscuits and hushpuppies were awesome!
    And don't get me started on the 50/50 Deer and Beef hamburgers!
    Damn. Now I'm hungry!
    ;)

    Welcome to Arkansas! You will have to float the Buffalo too, or the Spring River in NE Arkansas. We just got home from Hardy area of Spring River. Take a trip up to Mt. Nebo. Amazing views! Eureka Springs is pretty. Still searching for a chair like Abby’s:)

    Uncle Rack was a guide there. Him and his friend Tennessee Ernie Ford spent many a day.
    I met a man at the Fairview Cemetery who worked building the Dam. Later that day I went to the Dam Visitor Center a saw his climbing rig.
    The evening of a hot day when staying in a cabin at Gastons. A thick fog formed on the surface of the water. You couldn’t see the water it was so thick. The fog was white like milk. I thought this must be why it’s named the white river.

    You got me wanting to go wet a hook Adam! Really enjoyed the video. I noticed he throwed back the 18" Brown trout. What is the limit on those? First time I ever ate rainbow trout was in Gatlinburg TN. They were amazing! Doesn't seem to be a limit size on those. Good times and good eats!

      Hey Russ, we really enjoyed the fishing trip! Next video will show the shore lunch where the guys cook our fresh catch right over some open pits. The brown trouts have to be at least 24" long to keep, and I never did ask about the slot size they have to fall within. You're allowed one brown per day, and 5 rainbow per day per person.

      @@AbomAdventures If the trout prepared for you is unusually tasty, please share any secrets to how they cook them. I have used my tried and true method all my life, but you are never too old to learn something.

      Tony, I can’t say it was unusually tasty, but it was delicious! Everyone loved the seasoned fish fry batter they used. I was lucky enough to bring a bag home they did not use. Plan to cook some more of that trout on my back patio soon!

      @@AbomAdventures Great. When you cook, read the ingredients of the meal they used from the bag. I'll figure out the proportions to suit me and mine. Oh my, I so looking forward to that Arkansas trip.

    It appears you used corn for bait? I also think I saw a tied salmon egg(?) tied with hair. Curious about how you rig for White River trout. I plan to go there this summer. Thanks. Beautiful river.

      @AbomAdventures  Před 3 lety +1

      we used what he called a "floater" which keep the bait up off the bottom, and for bait we used shrimp.
