This is Kevin. Cool video and thanks for remembering me This guy pretty much does what I do just with a different jig color and head. It always works to fool a fish to make your jig look like a wounded or scared fish. Never tried those type of jigs but may in the future. I still think fishing below you would work here too, just try a heavier headed jig to make it fall due to the current. I've caught too many that way to be proven wrong. I would've like this video five times if I could have. Great video brother. What do you set your drag at, to pull fish that size but not break a 2lb line?
So the crazy thing is he does'nt use his drag. if you watch close he leaves his anti reverse lock off and lets the reel spin backwards with his finger on it.... pretty slick move I thought.... and thank you John.... I was really looking forward to hearing what you had to say about this video!!
Hey, sorry for the slow response, I’ve been on a trout trip in So Missouri. That’s an interesting question, I would definitely do the bleeding shad, (white w red) the black with red head and the orange one have quickly become my go to. I’ll forward the question to JD though just to see what he has to say…. I’ll let ya know

after watching a few of your vids i would like to try out your jigs for the first time. which colors would you recommend for lakes with stocked trout?
