Not all of us who’ve gone through the school can get to a battalion, unless you had that in your contract joining it’s pretty difficult. Even some are promised by recruiter and still don’t get the opportunity.

You’re basically signing a contract so America owns you. Also depending on what you join you may be forced to work for years before you can retire and get the benefits. It’s not worth it is what I’ve been told.
